Walking in without a reservation, I got a table right away. The host and server were both friendly and very helpful. Within minutes, my order was taken. After asking a question about how dry the local hard cider on the menu is, my server brought over a taste. It's not too dry and very, very good. Order it. The mushroom soup was perfect. The parmesan chip on top made it pop even more. The smash burger was tasty. The fries that it comes with are thin, but very hot and delicious. Overall, I had an excellent experience here. I was expecting steamed shrimp or any other preparation except fried. It's unfortunate because the rest of the taco toppings were good. Had the shrimp been anything other than fried, it likely would have been quite good. Menu should be updated to reflect the fact that the shrimp are fried. Didn't really taste like shrimp....just tasted like fried breading. Yuck. The fries were way too greasy. But I'll admit... I was also eyeing their Obatzda Burger with Oktoberfest beer cheese. Feeling bold, I asked our waitress if I could order their regular Pretzel Braid appetizer ($9) but swap the usual cheez-wiz and spicy mustard for that dreamy Oktoberfest beer cheese instead. She paused, smiled, wrote it down, and said, "that sounds really good!" Bless the chef for making my pretzel + beer cheese fantasy come true. The pretzel braid was warm, soft, and perfectly salty, and that beer cheese was the real MVP -- smooth, melty, not too hot, and with a proper beer-cheese finish.
