Terrific Dinner with wonderful family. The Rustic Tavern is very comfortable rustic! My BIL ordered a 14oz Delmonico Steak cooked perfectly med. topped with sautéed mushrooms and onions! My SIL went with her favorite Crab Cakes these Rustic Crab Cakes are award winning and loaded with crab. My wife ordered off the Mixed Grill which allowed her to select 2 items she chose the Broiled Maine Scallops and the Breaded Shrimp and I ordered the 2LB St. Louis Ribs which were fall off the bone not over sauced ( perfectly the way I like them) all of us went with perfect sized Baked Sweet Potatoes, and Cole Slaw as our sides! Tremendous fan of Rustic Tavern for years, however this evenings dinner left a lot to be desired. Service was outstanding. Girlfriend had full rack of St Louis rib special. They were well cooked but very under seasoned with no smoky taste or much sauce. I had 1/3 rib and 1/2 pound of snow crab. Same comment on ribs, the 1/2 pound was not that it was a very small section with 4 tiny legs, slightly over cooked and rubbery, not worth the extra $4 paid for them. The lemon berry cake was $8.99 and the piece tiny! I won't be back after years of coming. Quality was a great disappointment! Ambiance is same as always.. casual! read more

Hostess asks if we have a reservation which we respond "no, your website requires that for parties of 8 or more" There is nothing pertaining to Valentine's Day specifically.
