    Crab pretzel
    Marcie W.

Lunchtime visit. Shared a club sandwich with the homemade chips and a crab pretzel. The club was packed with lots of meat (maybe more than we even needed). The chips were fresh and crispy. The crab dip on the pretzel had a great flavor but not a ton of crab. The pretzel itself was a little underwhelming. Service was good. The restaurant itself is very dinerish. We would return to try out some of the other sandwiches and salads.

I was in the area and Spriggs came up as as a local fave. I stopped by for take out. I loved the pleasant & laid back vibes as I entered. The place is beautiful, great styling and everyone looked so delighted to be there as they lunched on the terrace or they dined inside. I was greeted warmly by the hostess at the register. Other staffers smiled and held the door for me as I left after grabbing my food. The meal was great. We had fish tacos and the lasagna. Great portions, thoughtful packaging for take out orders, , nice price point. The portions were generous and the flavors were nice. Both of us who ordered wished the food had a bit more salt and flavor, but overall it was a great meal and the short experiences from ordering on the phone to enjoying their food- we're all pleasant and charming.

Amazing food, I ordered the lasagna and I was blown away by how great and filling it was. Outside seating was beautiful. Our server (Mason) was very nice and respectful. Only thing was there was a bee near me but that wasn't the restaurants fault.

This is my second time here and the first time for Jenni. The restaurant is nice and appears fancy but the food is moderately priced and includes simple fare like cheeseburgers and also more expensive items like crab cakes and steaks. I had crab cakes and Jenni had the Oak Barrel Sirloin. My cakes were great and Jenni loved her steak; she gave me a couple pieces and I loved her steak, too. We didn't think the salads were great because, although pretty, they were small and skimpy. I remembered this from my first visit. I would rate our experience as 3.5 stars because my crab cakes were good and our server, Breonna, was super friendly and checked on us at a good frequency. Jenni agrees about the excellent service but felt her steak earned 4.5 stars so I'm averaging the rating for 4.0 stars.

Thankfully the restaurant is willing to accommodate (like leaving the cheese off a pizza) so there are vegan items to be crafted. It would just be cool if there were one or two items designed with vegans in mind. So, after some hocus pocus work, I decided on The Puttanesca Pizza and a non-alcoholic Cinnamon Vanilla Mule. The Puttanesca Pizza typically features olive tapenade, house tomato sauce, shaved Romano and rosemary gremolata. The waitress said it would be no problem to leave off the Romano. The Cinnamon Vanilla Mule contains cinnamon-vanilla syrup and ginger beer. Thankfully no substitutions needed here. The pizza at Pitt Street Station is bar style. A thin, chewy crust with the toppings layered on top. I found the crust to be pretty good. I like the combo of tapenade and house tomato sauce but did find it a tad salty. Can't imagine what it is like with the Romano added in. The Cinnamon Vanilla Mule was very good. I liked the balance of all the components. It was cool to see some non alcoholic cocktails on the menu and to have them be really good. I would return to Pitt Street Station if meeting up with someone because the place is accommodating to dietary needs but until some actual vegan items are on the menu it won't be somewhere I seek out on my own.

I started with a 1794 Old Fashioned, which was good enough that I had a second one with dinner. My wife had a Pinot Noir. I had originally planned on ordering the 14 oz. bone-in ribeye, but after seeing that prime rib was offered as a Friday and Saturday special, I decided to try the Molly Pitcher English-cut prime rib prepared 1794 style with the extra grilling. Unfortunately, about five minutes after ordering, I was told they had sold out. I went back to my original choice of the ribeye, ordered medium rare, with Yukon Smash and the seasonal vegetable, which that evening was corn on the cob. The ribeye was tender and flavorful and cooked the way I wanted it. My wife had the chicken pot pie and enjoyed it, although she thought it could have used a little more butter. Desserts are presented verbally rather than on a printed menu. I had the bourbon apple blondie while my wife chose the skillet cookie, which was topped with ice cream and chocolate drizzle. Both were very good. The restaurant is located inside the Comfort Inn and literally occupies the same space where the hotel's breakfast is served each morning. From our table I could even see the small refrigerator used for the breakfast yogurts, so the setting doesn't provide quite the same atmosphere as a standalone restaurant. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner and I would consider returning when we're back for Corvettes at Carlisle next year. I'd probably make an earlier reservation next time so I could finally try the prime rib.

The steaks were okay -- they seemed tough and mine, for medium seemed slightly over cooked with hardly any pink inside and what there was was very light pinkish / brown color. Jenni said her steak was done to her satisfaction -- medium well. I would say mine was probably also medium well. My steak had a lot of fat and gristle that I didn't eat. The mashed potatoes were amazing. My asparagus seemed stingy in size and number of stalks and added little taste or filling to my plate. Jenni said her green beans were okay. The iced tea was great. My Pepsi didn't taste flavorful though Alyssa said she checked the soda bags and they were full. I swapped for sweetened ice tea. Alyssa was a super friendly server who checked on us regularly. We want to patronize local businesses but we probably wouldn't get our meals again and would try something else. Jenni said she'd rate our experience as a 2.5 which is exactly what I'd give so we're going to round up since maybe our experience was just a little off this evening.
