We have been here twice in the last month or so, and won't be returning. Although the drinks are…read moregood, and the atmosphere nice, the service is deplorable. *Both times upon entering we were immediately struck with the smell of bleach/chorine, the place smelled like a pool. Several weeks ago, we (3 couples) stopped in for drinks after dinner around 9PM. It was fairly crowded, and we had to stand for a bit until some seating opened up. Service was slow, but it is craft drinks, so a bit understandable. However, after about 10 minutes of sitting, my wife bussed our table (multiple glasses, receipts, trash). The bartender was snippy and rude. We ordered another round, then left. Saturday night we returned for drinks after dinner again (8:00PM), this time with 3 other couples (8 people). We arrived first, and while there weren't any seats, it didn't seem as crowded as the last time. However, I over heard one bartender say to the other bartender "I'm not putting up with this shit again", and then proceeded to lock the main door. As our full party had not arrived, we had no choice but to leave. I'm not certian, but I suspect locking the door may be against fire code. After dealing with rude bartenders, and being locked in because the bartenders don't want to deal with a crowd, we certianly won't be going back.

Great drinks and friendly bartenders. Small place with comfortable speakeasy vibe. No food.read more

Another sponsored work lunch from Town Tavern today and I was the one to pick it up. The order was…read moreready quickly and packaged nicely, but they forgot the Diet Coke so I had to flag someone down and wait 5 minutes for it. We all got salads or turkey clubs so it wasn't like I came back with hot food that had turned cold over time, but still. No fun. Anyway, the interior is clean and very sports bar-esque. I liked the pretty lamps hanging about. There are loads of tvs and seating and a massive bar! There are lots of upcoming events and specials on flyers/posters everywhere and I was intrigued by the dueling pianos event advertised for next month. As for the food, this review and rating is for my 2nd and 3rd time eating their food - a salad from today and a skimpy as heck protein bowl from a few weeks ago. My greek power bowl delivery from a few weeks ago was nearly 20 bucks and was missing the dressing and veggie medley! The fish on top was overcooked while the chickpeas were undercooked! I ate it almost because I was hungry but I wouldn't ever get that again. As for today's meal, a tavern salad with extra chicken and extra tomatoes, well... I am glad I also didn't pay for this because they definitely did not give me double chicken nor extra tomatoes. Also, they are very skimpy on the veggies and cheese overall. And yes, the chicken was dry. Again! Like my pizza from my review earlier this year! One day, I'll learn my lesson and not order chicken and CHECK the portions on my food before I leave the restaurant. So yeah, I am lowering my review from 4 stars to 3 and even that feels generous. But I would like to try a meal there while dining in. The vibes seem pretty cool!

Stumbled upon this place accidentally because we meant to walk in the door for a nearby restaurant…read more At first we thought it was a private extension of the restaurant we intended to go into. What s newt little hidden experience. Speaking of experience, it reminds me of a speakeasy. Inside this small restaurant/pub, they offer darts, pool, tables and bar experience. They offer a small variety of food choices. I opted for the House Salad with grilled chicken and went with the house-made Creamy Italian dressing. It has a nice kick to it but is's very good! I will say the amount of chicken on the salad is limited; likely around 3oz. The flavors are there but just not enough to justify a $17 salad. $15 would be my ideal area. Use 5-6oz of chicken, maybe $17. Otherwise, it's a really good spot to check out!

We had lunch on a Monday at noon two days before Christmas. We were the first in there and by the time we left it had started to fill-in slightly. The ambiance is that of a bar really, which is fine. Some pool tables and TVs scattered around. The service was adequate, nothing special. Definitely will eat here again, I just hope it sticks around. This space has been multiple restaurants through the years. Check it out! Next to Menches.
