I've been going to Vonn for a year or so now. I've been to Glenda many times as well. Usually they're able to schedule us where Glenda cuts my son's hair while Vonn does mine so we can get in and out and both leave with quality cuts. Both of them do a great job with fades, beards, or off-the-wall cuts like my son's Mohawk. They take the time to ensure quality work but are also efficient so you're not sitting in the chair too long. They're both also great to talk to and have relaxing music playing. Last but not least they have professional front desk staff that always greets you with a smile and there's beer on tap. That checks all my boxes. Highly recommended this place! read more

Never going back. I made an appointment, arrived 5 minutes early, and waited more than 25 minutes past my appointment time. Never once did anyone apologize for the wait or offer an explanation...until I got up and began to walk out the door. I made an appointment for 3:00 the day before Thanksgiving. As this was my first time to this salon, I didn't select a specific stylist and was assigned Leanne. From the moment she came out to greet me, it was obvious she was trying to get done as quick as she could because she had some place better to be. She takes me to the back and basically says go over there and put on your robe and then meet me at the chair. Robe? I've never been here before nor been to a place that requires you to put on a "robe." Ok, so I throw this thing on over my shirt and go sit in her chair. First thing she does is wash my hair. Then without a word she just starts going to town. Didn't even bother to ask me how I wanted my hair cut or anything, just started cutting away. Again, new here and had ZERO explanation of anything so I just went with it. She was moving at the speed of light like she was trying to get out of there as soon as possible. It was obvious from the "small talk" she tried to engage in that she wasn't paying attention and her mind was elsewhere. She asked me the same exact question THREE different times during the cut. At the end of the cut I was just flat out annoyed and ready to get out of there myself...so much so that it wasn't until I got home that I realized she didn't even bother to shave the back of my neck. She trimmed the hairline but just completely skipped the rest of my neck. Had to get my wife to finish up her job. Overall, the haircut was ok. I would have liked a few things different, but again she never bothered to ask me what I wanted. The total experience definitely wasn't worth the price I paid. Hopefully this was just someone having an "off" day, but for it being my first time here it was definitely not a great experience. I may try them again in the future but I'll for sure request a different stylist. read more

Bad experience. Dissapointed with the owner by the name of Von for cutting my son's hair way too short inspite of pictures, consultation and our effort to express what we wanted from the haircut. My son's hair was long and he wanted a slight trim. Von appeared distracted and cold to our presence as he proceeded to cut away at hopes of us ever returning to his shop (probably like many other dissatisfied customers). We talked to von before and it didn't help. We explained the desired long wavy curls like in the pictures. He hardly seemed to care. Will not return until there is a new owner. read more

I've been a patron of 18/8 in Keller for almost two years; each visit I insist on having one of the salon's TWO Master Hairstylist, Monique to manage my hair. From hair-cuts to nose, ear and neck waxing and relaxing facials (you have to try it!), Monique caters to the comfort of her clients and is the cornerstone of the Salon. I would not patronize 18/8 without her! If Monique is not available, Emily (the other Master Hairstylist) easily picks-up the slack and provides equally stellar five--star service. So first of all, I am traveling and came the day before to see the location because I attend a 18/8 salon in a different state. Apparently They don't work together to share my information with all the salons so I called the one in the other state and they were happy to share their notes with them. So I decided to go ahead and book an appointment for a grey blending service two hours prior to the appointment on their website. When I arrived they told me that the service is no longer available, yet it's still on their website. And that if I wanted to do a full coloring service that is available, But I'd have to schedule another appointment unless I want to go with a Master color barber for extra cost instead of accommodating a mistake on their website Seems kind of snobby and arrogant compared to the one that I attend in a different state. The one attend is very welcoming and willing to be flexible and willing to make the coffee for me and bring it you while you wait or start. The atmosphere at this location is egocentric/snobby/you should be lucky for us to serve you. read more

We made our appointment and showed up only to find out that I had used up my last cut. 18-8 is more on the pricy side for a cut but sometimes you just want a better experience than Great Clips. The staff is nice and the cuts are ok (not great) but the biggest issue is getting a seat. They say walk in welcome but they are never staffed enough to accept walk in's. If your good with booking appointments a week in advance, it could work but if not, don't waste your time even trying this place. read more

I would give them no stars if possible - On Saturday their hours are until 7:00 pm I arrived at 6:30 pm and was told sorry we close at 7:00 by Maddy. I just stared at her and she finally said - with all we do it takes 40 minutes and then she ask if I had ever been there before ? Dumbfounded I simply said no and will not ever be back. Obviously Maddy is neither an owner or equity manager and hours of operation are to "get in" the door. I was there more than 30 minutes before closing and am turned away. Just finished getting my first executive cut, shave, and pedicure here. The place is awesome! Kristina cut my hair and did the pedicure, while Sarah took care of my shave. The service was incredible. The people were VERY friendly. From the moment I walked in, I was offered anything from wine, beer, sodas, and water. They were patient with my special requests and took the time to make sure I was well-cared for. They even helped explain ways I can better style and groom until I return. I called the company to make an appointment for a hair trim and scalp treatment prior to my wedding (so yes this was a big deal to me). The lady on the phone gave me some dates to choose from, and as someone who is very busy throughout the week I chose a Sunday at noon. As a man with 3B curly hair and a dry scalp, it is difficult to find quality service from people experienced with my hair type, which makes me more willing to drive farther than normal for a haircut (in this case about 35 minutes from my house). On the day before my appointment I received a verification text saying that my appointment was coming up to which I answered the prompt with "YES" to confirm my appointment. On the day of, I drove the 35 minutes to the Keller location and spent about 10 minutes driving around the parking lot trying to find the store since their address is incorrectly marked on the maps (I tried calling with no answer). When I did find it, I parked and tried to enter, but the door was locked and a sign was on the door stating that starting in July (or something like that) they would be closed on Sundays... Are you kidding me?! They booked me for Sunday on the phone and sent me a confirmation text the day prior, and they're closed?? over an hour of driving only to be disappointed by an establishment that does not know how to organize a schedule and lacks professionalism. This was supposed to my first experience here - well you can count me out from now on, you've lost a customer in me Eighteen Eight. read more

Great salon for a haircut but the service absolutely sucks. I was less than 5 minutes late for an appointment and they rescheduled me for almost 2 hours later. My stylist had me slotted for a 15 minute haircut which is not a proper amount of time for a haircut. I am extremely disappointed in the customer service department. Sadly will have to find somewhere new. Go to a salon where they will spend an adequate amount of time on your hair. read more
