    broken window
    Brenda M.

I ordered a Hot Water Heater from Home Depot who contracts with 1800HEATERS for the installation. They in turn sent someone from Hall & Sons plumbing. At some point before the technician left my house he broke the window pane in my son's bedroom (the hot water heater is located in a closet). He never said a word to me about it but placed the broken pane on the floor behind a portable AC to the left of the window itself. I called 1800HEATERS immediately after the technician left and I discovered the broken glass. I was told that a customer service manager would call me on Monday morning. No one ever called. I called at 1pm and spoke with Eddie who would not provide me with his last name. He was quite rude and implied that it wasn't broken during my installation because I "didn't hear it break". He then told me that he was submitting the information and that I would have a resolution by the end of business day. Again, no phone call was received. I called back the following morning and was told that the manager would call me when he arrived at 10am. He called and was again extremely rude and condescending. He informed me that a damage claim was already filed with Home Depot (which turned out to be another lie) and that there was nothing else he could do for me. When I asked who I should contact at Home Depot or what department he told me that he had no idea who I should call and didn't provide me with any further information. I would NEVER use this company again and recommend others to stay far away!

Had this company (1800 - Heaters ) sent over from Home Depot as the third-party installers. They sent 2 young men, no one with a license to my understanding. They installed my new one and removed the old one. They did NOT replace the TP valve, instead used my old one which was clogged and 3 weeks later started leaking. The main reason the original water heater started leaking)Rheem was nice enough to replace the TP and told me they were expected to add a new one and were disappointed they didn't. (I guessed that they installed it in their pocket instead) Rheem offered to send me a new one or I could just buy one and have it reimbursed. So I did just that and replaced it myself. 2 weeks after the PEX above started leaking from moving it around and I had to buy a crimper and fix it myself. Now the cold water inlet pipe shows it's been leaking from the back for well over 5 years. I thought it was just a copper pipe reaction to cold. What do I know, ThatS why I called the pros right? Instead, I got a crappy service, and when calling them back "after a few years of course", they try to offer a service costing more money and I was doubtful so they hang up because I was trying to see if they would correct the wrong they did. I don't recommend them at all unless you can fix all the wrong work done yourself. I'm not impressed and would not recommend them. All they did correctly was pull a permit. Again: I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.

Called about an appointment on Monday. Never got a call back. They probably get so much work from HD that they don't care

When the technician, Ruben Ortiz, arrived at my home, he explained everything thoroughly before he started any work.

The answering service took the call and John called us back to get the details right away. It was not an emergency. He scheduled us for Monday. Dan and Miguel came out. Very professional, knowledgeable plumbers. As they progressed with the repair, they came and told us what they were finding and how they would repair it. They completed the task in about an hour. Also they noticed a possible other situation we may need to address and gave us the information we will need to move forward with that later. It concerns the Middlesex Water main valve. A Middlesex Water representative came out right away, to assist and let us know what he saw. That night, there was a new issue with a different bathroom that may have been related to the work they were doing. I called up, sent them a video and they came back today and fixed it. No charge for this repair. The first repair was very fairly priced. I recommend Jim Burton Plumbing for your home plumbing needs. Great communication with the office, owner and service plumbers.

He was supposed to remodel my bathroom in a 2 weeks. Almost 6 months later, it is still not done and I am left with a mess to clean up. The toilet he installed leaked staining my ceiling. I currently have only half a shower door so, if I use it, it floods the floor. According to Rob, my shower door came in wrong twice. I waited two months for the correct frameless shower door yet he proceeded to install one which was the incorrect size (71 1/4 and not 72) ruining the tilework. After installing the incorrect size door, he demanded almost ten thousand more than what was in the initial contract to get the other side of the door cut which he said did not fit with what was installed. When I refused to pay any additional money, he walked off the job and proceeded to text me for weeks calling me names and threatening to call collections. I am left to get the half door removed and cover the holes at this point at my own expense. The original contract, including the correct entire shower door is paid for. Additionally, in the process, he scraped my bathroom floor leaving it bare so, to be fixed, I would need to have the floor completely redone. The entire job is shoddy. I have holes where he grouted and it is disintegrating and even the caulk already has holes and is turning yellow. The project was a complete disaster and waste of money. It caused me a lot of unneeded stress. I would strongly advise to not work with him.
