Stopped in while I was in the area the other day. Ordered the Mexican hot chocolate. It was a little pricy but it was pretty good. Plenty of seating. Seemed like a good spot to relax and meet with friends. Not overly loud. read more

This coffee shop is so warm and inviting with the unique decor and brick walls. It's take you back to another time. What I loved was their hot chocolate! I asked the barista about it, and she told me it was a special old world recipe with real coco and cinnamon. It was smooth and delicious! So for all you non-coffee drinkers, this hot chocolate is amazing! There are delicious pastries and desserts too! The next time I went in I got the new Bonnie and Clyde drink! That is delicious too! I will be coming back and bringing friends and going to stop off here after date night with my husband. It is a great place to sit and just relax and visit! And the staff was amazing! There are only two good cafes in the area and this is one of them. Good tables for studying, Good couches for bringing a group of 4+, However, this place is really good only for latte based drinks. If you would like a traditional macchiato then you must be very specific. e.g, single-shot traditional vs double-shot macchiato. Also, the price charged seems to vary per person taking the order (I was charged an extra 0.50c for this drink). I recommend the local White Rhino cafe for such drinks. read more

What a gem of a spot in the heart of Cedar Hill's charming downtown square. Plenty of locally made pastries, sweet & savory options, cute merch, lovely music & a handful of people diligently working on their laptops. Super friendly service & a warm feeling space. My iced Americana was delicious & I wish it came in a larger size. The epicurean sausage 'kolache' & ham/Swiss croissant were both outstanding. The only issue is the interior is dimly lit & it's hard to see. On this rainy day, people were basically working in the dark. A few floor lamps would be beneficial. When in Cedar Hill, this is the go-to coffee shop. Highly recommend supporting small & local when it's great, like 1846 Coffee! read more

We are a group of knitters who come into the shop every Thursday evening. The coffee is great, the baked goodies are mouth-watering and the atmosphere is so calming and soothing. The lighting is good for our knitting (and chatting). We all love the various coffee and bakery offerings. My favorite is the Mocha Latte (both cold and hot) and I love the Monkey Bread and the Cinamon bun/croissant thingies. I don't know the exact name, but my tummy loves them! read more

Nice atmosphere for visiting with friends and enjoying cup of tea. Was very disappointed in the dessert selection. My friend wanted to buy me a treat for by birthday after dinner. Since it was a Monday evening and I knew my favorite place for a slice of cheesecake or cake was closed, we opted for 1846. The cromuffin was just a piece of bread with little sugar on top. Maybe with some melted butter and dousing of honey it would have seemed more like a sweet treat. read more

It is a sweet coffee shop, enough sitting space if compared with other coffee shops I know, it is open and cute. LOVE the Dulce de cinnamon coffee, and the almond croissant is really good. Tacos on Tuesday were really good as well. My favorite coffee shop at the moment! read more
