First time at Kingsmen will not be my last. They weren't serving food at the time I arrived but I did get a cream cheese danish that did not disappoint. The Cinna-liscious latte with oat milk was created perfectly still holding the strong taste in coffee. The customer service was great, everyone inside was very friendly and I loved that the most. I met patrons who greeted you with kindness making the space feel like home. The space had a calmness that allowed me to read a good chunk out of my book with no distractions. Came in and was greeted immediately! The menu is clearly posted for people to view while waiting in line. I got the Cinna-licious Latte and my mother got the Regular Drip. Both were delicious ! My latte was the perfect amount of sweetness and I appreciated that their cup sizes come with a shot difference (2 shot vs 3 shot). My mother said her Drip coffee was smooth and needed no sweetener. I'm a remote worker and thought I found a nice quiet coffee shop...it is not. EXTREMELY LOUD. This cafe is so cute! The atmosphere is welcoming and modern. Ample (and comfortable) seating. They have an extensive, creative drink list. I ordered off the secret menu, and was pleasantly surprised! Everyone was so nice here. I'm a sucker for a chai and theirs is so so good; it paired perfectly with the strawberry. Went for Sunday brunch. It wasn't too crowded but I would recommend being there on time. There's also an upstairs and the servers didn't mind bringing juice refills upstairs, much appreciated. They had a couple singers and a musician playing the keyboard. The music was nice! The food was so good! They had french toast, shrimp and grits, eggs, chicken, fruit and side salad. feel so fortunate to have this amazing coffee shop 20 min from my house! Talk about an incredible local place! I googled coffee places after hiking Cedar Ridge with a girlfriend and called to see if they have outdoor seating. The very kind and polite woman assured me dogs are allowed on the patio. I pull into a very unassuming parking lot and find Kingsmen between an auto parts store and discount furniture store. I walked in and immediately was WOWed by the most beautiful coffee shop! It doesn't stop there. Andrea was an absolute joy to be greeted and served by. Any employer would be proud to have an employee like her. My friend ordered a bagel sandwich and I got the oatmeal bowl. We each ordered coffee. The food looked just delicious as the pictures! It was absolutely delicious and the coffee was perfectly roasted. Andrea was so thoughtful to apologize (totally unnecessary) for the long wait, but we definitely didn't mind. I thought it was exemplary on her part to say something and acknowledge it. She even offered a pup cup for my dog. We made sure to tip appropriately to denote our wonderful experience there. I will tell everyone to run to Kingsman Coffee. I'll be back and bringing everyone to experience this awesome local place. read more

Florida girl was visiting friends in Desoto a couple of weeks ago and they took me to Kingsmen to try the Saturday brunch! The food and service exceeded my expectations!! The setup was very nice with a community-oriented vibe. An artist was painting on canvas, a podcast was in progress and a Bible study was taking place in another area. The brunch included chicken, waffles, eggs, fruit bowl and mimosas! Everything was tasty!! We thanked the chef! And the eggs were so fluffy, we wanted to know who did the prep work and we learned someone's godmother did. She was sitting nearby, so we thanked her too!! As a faithful coffee shop goer, I must say this is the most professional and welcoming coffee shop I have ever been to. Soon as you enter this fine establishment, the decorations and style of the coffee shop automatically catches your eye. To add, the soothing sounds of jazz in the background added the perfect comfort, especially the voice of Ella Fitzgerald. This shop is more than coffee. I really appreciate the diversity in the menu selection and the pricing was fair. My delicious drink order, (hazelnut chi-tea, cinnamon, oat milk, and a kiss of whip cream) was made with patiences but delivered in a timely manner. 10/10. Highly recommend. I just came back to my hometown after being gone for a while. Before I came back, my routine consisted of going to a coffee shop to study/get work done. It was a little struggle at first to find a coffee shop to sit down in because I went to two other coffee shops before Kingsmen, the first one looked like it was discontinued. The second one was a gas station which would've been nice if I were 'on the go' but thankfully, Kingsmen wasn't too far from where I was. You're welcomed as soon as you walk through the door. The menu has a variety of drinks and pastries to choose from! Prices aren't too shabby either due to the quality of coffee that you're getting. The service, the coffee, the environment 10/10. I went with a friend one time and she was told she could not pay with a gift card at their location but they do accept the app payment. I told my friend that she could just load her card on the app and the lady behind the counter said no? I've had lattes that taste good and a pumpkin spice latte that tasted bad. Sometimes they seem understaffed and employees seem overworked. I've been greeted with "what drink do you want?" More than a "Hi, how are you?" It's ok, but drinks and food are inconsistent. They do take the app and you can use your Tom Thumb card.

After she made my drink, I went to put the straw in, and only then was I told that I was supposed to shake it first. When I asked why she didn't mention that before, she replied, "If you drink boba and milk tea, you should know." For context, this is only my second time ever trying boba. Instead of offering helpful info or friendly service, I felt talked down to and dismissed. I was excited to try something new -- but this interaction left a bad taste in my mouth before I even sipped the drink. Hopefully others have a better experience, but I personally won't be returning.

You kind of have to know that it's there! They have plentiful seating with lots of tables to study at and cozy chairs gathered in small groupings. There's also a huge outdoor area in the brick courtyard. There are fairy lights on the ceiling and warm wooden walls. They have a wall of mugs for repeat customers. You might not even guess at the religious nature of the coffee shop except for framed prints of C.S. Lewis's works adorning the main room and a box at the front inviting visitors to anonymously request prayers for any issues they're facing. I tried a cheddar scone and a cappuccino. The scone was dense and chewy - quite delicious. The coffee drink was slightly grainy and spicy (almost more like a chai) but it was still retained a creamy flavor and the caffeine packed a kick.
