This place is o.k. if you're already around and want "mexican" food. The food didn't have much flavor. We had to add salt to everything, even the salsa, so it could taste like something. We really enjoy this place... Ask for spicy on the Michelada and they really do it right! We just enjoyed some amazing Chilaquiles and nopale skillet (cactus). On the last day of a three day stay at Pechanga, we stopped for a bite to eat here at the Lobby Bar & Grill. It's got a great atmosphere, with hanging lamps and dark wood trimmings that grant a nice view when you walk through the main doors of the casino. Sitting down at a plush table, we ordered drinks and enjoyed some breakfast. We started with the Pastry Basket, consisting of a cinnamon roll, apple danish, and bran muffin. The taste was nice and sweet among all three, however biting into the muffin, I found the core of it to be cold and dense, meaning that it was either cooked the day before and put in the fridge or it was cooked off-site and frozen before making its way to Pechanga. I had the Spanish Chorizo Scramble, a tasty blend of sausage, peppers, and onions. There a a light amount of heat from the chorizo, salted well by the cotija cheese, and the avocado on top was cut large, giving each bite a nice and smooth finish. Mixed in with the potatoes, it was a very filling and tasty meal. My wife had the C.Y.O. Omelet with Country Potatoes. The bacon kept it nicely salty, while the mushrooms and cheddar made it filling. Like the scramble before it, it wasn't too bad. She wasn't enthralled by it, but with the potatoes alongside, she didn't complain too much about it either. Our son had the Pancake Stack w/Hash Browns, Scrambled Eggs, and fruit on the side. As a kid about to go into first grade, he's never met a pancake he didn't like. Leaving the eggs and potatoes, he finished off the cakes and stole sips of the syrup after. Also on the table was the Belgian Waffle, my mother opting for it over her usual Eggs Benedict. All in all, a slightly above average breakfast, only dampened by the cold bite of that muffin. It was very pleasant, a nice end to our stay, and a definite step up from the Pechanga Cafe the night before. The Mediterranean Hummus with Harissa spices, preserved lemon, rainbow carrots and cauliflower was one of the most refreshing hummus I've ever had. More grilled flat bread please! Are you a burger lover? Then the Bistro Burger is the one for you. Served with hand cut fries, fresh ground beef, garlic aioli, lettuce, tomato, red onions, Applewood smoke bacon, and cheddar cheese. You can easily share this meal with someone. Turkey and vegetarian options are also available for a lighter and healthier fare. Another must try is the Stuffed Bone Marrow Toast; served as three large log shaped bread, stuffed with a bone marrow mousse, crisp Brussels sprouts, topped with oxtail and an earthy mushroom ragu with brown trumpets, beech and shiitake mushrooms. End your perfect meal with any one of the Lobby's delectable desserts, like the Bubba Rum, Creme Brûlée Warm Walnut Cake and Cherry Clafoutis all freshly baked on site. My all time favorite will have to be the Giant Raspberry Macaron. First off, GREAT service!! We had the best waiter. Heard things we said like "man, these chips and salsa are the BEST!", and brought us more right away. The ambiance isn't ridiculously traditional, yet is super clean with great lines in the setup of the restaurant overall. We had the shrimp cocktail to start and it was delicious! Baja style with the right spice and the shrimp were cooked and chilled just right! We ordered and received after our appetizer (thank you!) the Birria and carne asada tacos. The Birria is served in a bowl with the broth which is a bit more saucy than the traditional consume, but very tasty! My husband was very pleased with his tacos. He is very picky, especially if there is fat present, which he said there was not. The beans are good, but not as good as my moms, same for the rice. We will be back soon. read more

Our party shared the steak Ranchero, Mexican Caesar salad with carne asada, and finished with the house made churros that came with a yummy caramel and chocolate sauce to dip. So good. First time here at this restaurant. Been coming to Pechanga since they were in trailers, since 1998! Service was simply outstanding. Came to celebrate a win in the casino and a new job! Was seated promptly and server came by quickly. Server was extremely friendly and felt immediately like home. The chips and salsa were delicious. The Ultra Margarita was smooth and delicious. Highly recommended! The Mole enchiladas were ok. It felt like they were missing some spice and flavor in the sauce and chicken. I had some kind of avocado salad, there was so much dressing it was a little hard to eat, and I love dressing! It was our first time at Pechanga casino which we found to be smoke-free unlike Graton in Rohnert Park. We had lunch at the bar counter at 1882 Cantina since the dining area was full. Three to four ladies were working the bar that day and we received fast service including a free bowl of chips and salsa. Overall, the food was good although our burrito orders got mixed up. Really poor experience here with my wife for a date night. Food and service were both poor. We thought we were making a fairly good choice to rsvp but with we would have saved the $100 we spent on food and drinks. Server didn't seem to know the menu, had to write everything down (even though our orders were very basic). We ordered an appetizer and two entrees. The entrees came out first and the appetizer came a few minutes following. No apology. The restaurant was not full but the food and drinks took a long time to be delivered. The food itself was poor quality. I've had better camarones and carnitas at the local taco shop. **This food tastes like it's been sitting in a warmer and thrown on your plate so I'm confused as to why it took so long. You're paying for the ambiance which IMO is very stark and unappetizing. No manager came to ask how things were, the server came once to check in. The kicker. When we went to pay, he returned my cc and the check. Right after I signed it, he came back to take it off the table - before we were done with our drinks and before we left. Overall, a very poor experience and will not be returning. I blame management for this horrible experience. Train your staff better and don't tell people this food was created by a real chef. I suggest you take your money elsewhere. This restaurant will not last here with such horrible food and worse service. Shameful to be a part of Pechanga. read more

This is one of our favorite places for lunch. They're open Friday thru Tuesday. CLOSED Wednesday & Thursday. We eat here at least twice a month & we order the same thing. In the future I'll order other foods, just to try. We always eat at a the bar. Chips & salsa come out 1st. We always start with the guacamole. I've had better but I love the little "sweety drop peppers" and the pepitas. THE "SURF & TURF BURRITO" is my favorite. Carne asada is moist & well seasoned. Shrimp is perfectly cooked. Also inside the burrito are Beans & rice, with queso fresco (Mexican white cheese) The burrito also has chipotle aioli and Pico de gallo. The burrito is served wet with both a red & green sauce. Some avocado garnishes the top. I prefer & order my burrito w/ just the green sauce. I love a great cilantro sauce and this is a great sauce. All these ingredients are wonderful together. Anndddd....they add crispy onions to the inside which just adds another layer to the burrito. THIS BURRITO IS VERY LARGE FOR ME so I always take home 1/2 of it. It's even better the next day heated up in the microwave. (sometimes the fried onions are still crispy) My husband gets the enchiladas tradicionales. He always orders chicken for both enchiladas. And just the red sauce. Comes w/ rice & beans. My husband says the chicken is very moist and well seasoned. As you can see in the photo, my husband also orders the "ULTRA" margarita. It normally has black salt on 1/2 if the rim. They were out of it today. No dessert, we're always too full to eat anymore. read more

Pomegranate Mule made with Tito's Vodka, pomegranate, and ginger beer. I am becoming a mule lover so when I saw that this had pomegranates in it, I simply had to order it. The mule was smooth with the tangy, sweet flavor of pomegranates. Rating: 5/5 Stuffed Bone Marrow Toast served with braised oxtail & mushroom ragu and crispy brussels sprouts. The presentation reminded me of Twinkies. The toasts were cut into rectangular blocks and the bone marrow "crème" was piped into the toast just like the popular snack cake. I loved the bone marrow crème and could eat that for days. The toasts were crispy on the outside, yet spongy on the inside; well-suited to sop up the oxtail and mushroom ragu. The brussels sprouts added a bittersweet flavor to the mix. Rating: 5/5 Steak & Frites is a prime grilled steak (choice of filet mignon or hangar steak) topped with your choice of bleu cheese butter, peppercorn crust, bordelaise sauce, or garlic herb butter served with hand-cut pommes frites and arugula salad. I love the combination of filet mignon and bleu cheese. The bleu cheese butter added a fatty, pungent creaminess to the lean filet. The filet itself was perfectly grilled rare and so tender it could be sliced with a butter knife. The pommes frites were expertly fried with crispy exteriors and tender potato inside. Rating: 5/5 Braised Short Ribs are served with potato rosti, red cabbage mostarda, baby carrots, and horseradish gremolata. This portion of braised short rib was HUGE! This would be great for my hubby - the hungry man portion! The short rib was so tender, and the aroma of red wine permeated the senses. The potato rosti had a nice crispy exterior and creamy interior. The red cabbage mostarda added an acidic sweetness to the dish as the horseradish gremolata spiced up the taste buds. My mom said that this was the best short rib she has ever had! Rating: 5/5 Giant Raspberry Macaron made with soft almond cake topped with Bavarian cream, fresh raspberries, a crunchy macaron shell, and decorated with raspberry gelée and gold leaf. The two star is because of the hostess, we had reservations and she was going to sit us at a table and booth ready and I ask to sit there and she refuse stated this table was ours and that only two people can sit in the booth which was a lie.
