Stopped in Temecula while passing through and ended up finding such a hidden gem of a Mexican restaurant. Everything was so fresh and full of flavor--from the chips and salsa to the main dishes. You can tell they put love into their food. I had the taco salad and my daughter had the cheese enchiladas, and they were both phenomenal. The service was just as good--super friendly and welcoming, which always makes the experience even better. My favorite Mexican restaurant in the area by far! I grew up going to their Poway location and was very pleased to find they had a location over here. The food is delicious every single time. I can always count on great service, great ambience, great tasting food & drinks when I come here. They also happen to have one of the best micheladas in the area (IMO). I come here regularly and also order from here regularly. It's not the most fancy restaurant but the vibes are good and the food is great! I feel bad to leave this review because I don't wanna see any place fail... I want all of us to succeed in life, but I also want to warn people of the pitfalls when I find one. It's hard for us to survive these days especially wasting it for places like this one. We went here for taco Tuesday, and were the only people there... That should've been a foreshadowing of the sh*t show that was to come... The place smelled like bleach because there was a man with a bucket of dirty water mopping the floors where we were eating... The entire time we were there the place smelled like a toilet because of the overwhelming stench of bleach. Then came the chips and salsa... The salsa was watery and tasteless and the chips looked store-bought... It just felt wrong... While ordering I asked if there were any taco Tuesday specials and the man said street tacos were $2 each but that was it... I ordered those and an $8 side of rice and beans... It was hard to tell what was on those tacos because it was covered with mounds of cilantro which I removed most of... I ate the Carnitas one and it was tasty, but the other two were unedible. They didn't taste fresh, chicken, and Carne Asada...The beans were watery with zero flavor... I took one bite of rice and it was like Spanish Rice-A-Roni straight up cooked from a box mix. This was by far the worst Mexican food I have ever eaten, and I was shocked that someone had the audacity to serve this slop to a customer. The man who served us didn't seem too happy to be there, and I don't blame him. I did feel bad that he had no customers, but there is a reason... Even our water tasted like tapwater, which I'm sure it was. I got off easy with a $16 bill but I'm still unhappy about it. I shouldn't have paid the bill, but I just didn't wanna have any hassle. Me and my family went to the Sunday buffet and when we first got there, the parking lot was pretty empty and there were not a lot of people so we started worrying that the food wouldn't be good. Although the buffet size was limited compared to other Mexican buffets that I've been too, the items that they did have were a good quality and had good flavor. They have a lady making fresh handmade tortillas the entire time and unlimited mimosas are included in the mimosa brunch option. My husband is from Mexico so if he liked it, it means it was good for a buffet. I definitely recommend this place and we'll be going back. read more

After many years of driving past this restaurant while on the freeway and thinking I should go , I found the time to visit. At first glance I was a little hesitant to stay but the person that greeted me was pleasant and very customer service like. He answer my questions regarding their Happy Hour policy and informed me we could sit wherever we liked. The place is quite large, with a bar counter, buffet service area for weekend brunch, several booths and tables, and pool tables in the rear. Ordered the Carne Asada Special with rice and beans; and a #5 Combo which is a Chile Relleno and a Beef Taco with rice and beans. As a starter we had the Complementary Warm Chips and Salsa House Margaritas! For Happy Hour the Margaritas are $5 The food was very delicious! The Carne Asada was tender and juicy, and Chile Relleno was delicious too. Their rice was exceptional! Fluffy and moist! It should be a crime to serve food this bad. The fish filet and the carnitas were so dry, it was apparent that they were reheated in a microwave. The lettuce and avocado was brown and wilted. I've been here several times now since it's very close to home. I've always gone during the evening hours and it's never packed which is a plus. The place is outdated and it's a little dingy but I can always look pass that when the food is good. They start you with chips and salsa which is yummy. I've had the cheese enchiladas and chili relleno plate which was fantastic. Last night 1/25/25 I had the menudo. Let me tell you, that menudo was excellent. All meat no hominy which I prefer. So much meat that I barely finished the bowl. I've always paired my food with a blended mango margarita. Again very delicious and refreshing. They also have a very large bar area and large seating area that would be able to handle a large party of over 10 plus people. I really recommend giving this place a shot. I came for the Sunday buffet and I like the fact that it's not a ton of nasty food. It was about quality not quantity. The homemade tortillas are absolutely delicious and my husband loved his omelette, and he is very picky. I can't believe they are offering them despite the price of eggs right now. I hate everybody's Mexican rice, but the one here is good. I don't know why people give this place bad reviews as far as service; they kept picking up our plates and asking us if everything is fine. Sunday Brunch 8-2:00 pm today. WE arrived at 11:30 am today. The buffet looked very sad. You did not receive a menu, so you could see what was available and the price. The selection in the buffet is sparse, skimpy, and disgusting! The last 3 pieces of bacon were swimming in grease. The pork ribs were petrified as if they were leftovers from days ago. No pancakes. No eggs. The service was lacking. No one was available to ask questions or to guide you, especially since you had no menus! I had to get up twice for a drink and how to get into the dessert cart because it lacked easy access. Plenty of rice and beans and fruit but not worth $22.00! Not a good value for the money. Very disappointed. Ambiance was okay. It appeared to be unfriendly and in a dark mood. read more

Took my wife and 3 year old boy there last night and the food was great super hot plate and usually my wife's pretty picky about what we eat and she was happy as can be. We had the tamale and chile relleno plate and the green chile chicken enchiladas the rice and beans are as authentic as you can make and were very delicious. And they give free chips and salsa while the food is being prepared which was good cause my 3 year old tore the whole basket of chips up. The best thing about it in my opinion there's a good feel to the place not the fancy place that overcharges for mediocre food, it was just a good restaurant that makes good food. Don't expect fancy is all I'm saying. But here goes all cool spin on the night as we were finishing up and asked for the bill minutes later the owner comes over and says the food was taken care of by one of the other parties that were dining there, had to give a smile to the other tables and show thanks to them even though I don't know which one it was but it was a very nice gesture. Been here once since COVID and the staff is respectful to provide socially distanced seating. Other items for brunch are tamales, enchiladas, rice and beans, sausage, bacon, ribs, and a couple other dishes that I normally don't get so I can't speak to them. Desserts are usually a fruit cup and breads. Restrooms are always clean. Very friendly and attentive staff. And they have a sports bar area so you can watch whatever game you're interested in.
