We came out for dinner on a weekday, and it was relatively empty - more folks at the bar than tables. The hostess was less than friendly, but we were quickly seated at a high top table in the main hallway. Waitress was nice, offered a few recs when asked. We ordered the prime rib dinner special, fish and chips, bacon cheese fries app, and a couple beers. Best item was the fish. Everything else was just okay. The app fries were not good - dont get me wrong, I love bacon, but it was kinda burnt, almost no cheese, dry, bland, etc. Maybe we got them on an off night, as I've always loved Killarney's (the one in Riverside before it closed down). This was an EASY 5 Star Review! I just had their Friday Fish & Chips $9 for one large piece of fish and fries.. Light Flaky and delicious. We opted for the 3 piece and split with my wife for $17. I got a side of their wonderful garlic parmesan toast for $3 more and made a delicious sandwich. Even better than their fish special is their Monday "Build a burger". STILL ONLY $8! This has to be one of the best deal in Temecula! I can't think of any better. I also have their cheese burger with mushroom onions and all the fixings.... (BTW, chilis 3 for one burger with fries and salad and drink for $10 is right there up there wit this deal). Our server Cali D. was the best. Even the waitress helping her. We listened to Cali's recommendations & we were not disappointed. Everything was delicious! It was packed & busy on a Wednesday night, but the food came out fast & service was perfect. My husband loved his burger. My favs for the evening were the prime rib & the Rueben sandwich. All their daily specials are good and Burger Monday's is the best. I highly rate all their food, appetizers, entrees and desserts. Service can be slow, especially later in the evenings when it gets busier. Still the quality of the food makes up for it. read more

My friend and I had planned to go to brunch next door at the brunch house but the wait was far too long. We say the sign that this spot does brunch so we gave it a shot and walked right in. The brunch menu has a variety of options and the bar was obviously open. I got the huevos rancheros which were pretty good. Staff were friendly. It's still very much a tavern so nothing too upscale. Such a disappointment. Horrible service. As soon as we got there we got seated around 840pm and the server was quick to greet us. It went downhill afterwards. It took 50 minutes plus to get a beer. We even asked the bartender for a beer which he replied he would get right on but did not get us a beer quicker. We then waited for the server to come back to take our food order and had to ask other employees to get her in order to get service. Not worth our time or our money. read more

So went here on $8 build your own burger Mondays. Well for $8 this is a real bargain. Comes with some good fries as well. Good service and great vibe (Notre Dame Bar!) You can basically make any kind of burger you want. Items like bacon or pastrami are extra but several choices of bun and meat are available. Place is great and will make a point of returning. Best karaoke in town is here on Sundays & Thursdays! Great crowd for football games. They have a awesome menu & offer brunch on Saturday & Sundays. Fantastic events throughout the year but specifically on NYE & St. Patty's is INSANE! The employees here are super friendly & tons of locals come here. The only thing I don't like is the tables are close & you might sit next to a random person. So if you aren't drinking this is uncomfortable. Best Corned Beef Hash in Temecula. We love coming here on Saturdays after my daughter's sports for brunch. Staff is so friendly and the food is top notch. My kids love the pancakes and bacon. My wife and I swear by their corned beef and mimosas. read more

For St. Patrick's Day festivities we usually go to Richie's Diner. However we wanted to try something new so we decided on Killarney's this year. After reading so many positive reviews of Killarney's Irish Pub Saint Patrick's Day celebration I had such high expectations. Yet, there were numerous things that really disappointed us. One disappointment was the fact that despite the higher prices for their very limited Saint Patrick's menu...the table was set with cheap plastic utensils and our food came out on plastic plates! Our bill for the three of us came very close to $95.00! In my opinion, for that amount of money they could have hired an extra dishwasher and served us with proper utensils and plates! For the $95.00 bill the three of us shared the Irish tator tot appetizer, which by the way came to the table at the same time as our meals. My father inlaand sister really enjoyed the tots but agreed they were a wee bit salty. My father in-law and I both got the soup/salad combo. The soup was a very small cup of soup and the salad was a very small dinner like side salad. My sister had their Irish stew meal which she said it was a little spicy but otherwise it was good. The waitress was extremely hard to chase down to ask for drink refills and extra plates for our appetizer. We had to ask four different people to please get our waitress. Our drinks were served in small plastic cups about the same size of a McDonalds small drink but much higher the cost of a large beverage at McDonalds. It was 100°+ and we were very thirsty so to have to wait 20 minutes or so for refills was very frustrating. To make matters worse, we found something at the bottom of our cups of ice tea. The waitress did take the drinks off our bill as we requested. However, the disgusting factor had already made us lose our appetite and we asked for our meals to go. We were told there was a maximum of 90 minutes to eat. The one positive thing we were impressed with was the professionalism and help of both the seating receptionist and the security personnel. My father in-law is older and walks with a walker and both individuals were very patient and helpful with helping him out of the car and with saving a table for us while he walked ever so slowly to the restaurant. The restaurant is not very handicapped accessible at all. We had to struggle to get my father in-law and his walker to the table. I don't know what they would have done had he been in a wheelchair! I hope that the manager and/or owner of Killarney's reads this and will make some changes for next year. read more

We love the happy hour specials on Monday's which is build your own burger and Wednesday's Prime Rib. The price is decent and what I really like is that they have my favorite Kilkenny beer. We rolled into Killarney's on Monday for their Monday special $8 build your own burger. It started off w just 8 of us by the time everybody showed up it was like 20 plus w all the kids. The waitress who waited on us got all our orders correct. She was friendly and nice. Killarneys had a very chill vibe with darts and a shuffle board. The happy hour menu is pretty good. ZERO! This is for DAVID, the owner. There is no MANAGEMENT in this place! When you walk in, a sign greets you, "SEAT YOURSELF" You seat yourself and WAIT, AND WAIT" for 20 minutes. Finally, I went to the kitchen door, trying to get a server to help us, I opened the door, and Madison, the waitress, was standing there, and she was on her cell phone. I asked if there was service today, and she said, I didn't see you. How can she see me when she is hiding in the kitchen!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She appeared angry because she got caught. To the owner, is this the kind of employee you want working for you? Someone who IGNORES your customers? We also noted many upcharges. 1. 2 Happy Hour beers on the menu $6.50 each, cost us $14.42, a upcharge of $1.42 2. Happy Hour Pretzel on the HH menu was $8.49 cost us $9.26, upcharge $.77 3. Wednesday Prime Rib on the menu is $15.99, I was charged $16.47, extra horseradish I was charged $.50. 4. Ordered an HH black and tan, it should cost $6.50, I was charged $7.21, an upcharge of $.71. 5. On the receipt, it states that if you pay with cash, you get a $2.22 discount. I paid, with my cash debit card and I was charged the full amount, no discount. 6. We ordered the Rubin Sandwich for $16.99, it was the skimpiest sandwich I have ever seen. It was all bread and NO MEAT! At the most, it would be worth $5.00. 7. The music is so LOUD, just for the barflies. 8. This place is for drinkers and drunks. The service is at the BAR. Forget about getting any service if you order food! There is only ONE server for the whole restaurant! The food is skimpy, the service is awful, and the upcharges are ILLEGAL! We've been here a few times, most recently with a group of friends for a weeknight dinner. First off, bravo for being able to make a reservation for 14 people on fairly short notice, despite the fact that they were fairly busy. We were seated in the side room (with the shuffleboard table) which is so much better than the main bar area from a noise perspective! We were at a long table and it was perfect for being able to talk and socialize. If it matters to you, note that the main bar area is very loud! The menu includes lots of traditional Irish pub food - shepherd's pie, fish & chips, corned beef & cabbage - all of which members of our party ordered and enjoyed immensely. The burgers look amazing and we'll definitely be back for $8 "BYOB"- Build Your Own Burger night on Mondays! I had the chicken caesar wrap which was really delicious. The tortilla was lightly grilled and packed with large chunks of grilled chicken, bacon, sun-dried tomatoes and housemade Caesar dressing, and the french fries were well-seasoned and crisp - yum! Found out that Killarneys was doing a loaded bloody Mary so we went to check it out. Sometimes when you go to a place that has a loaded, bloody Mary it's all about the presentation not about the quality. So we were a little bit apprehensive. They have two options for the appetizer tree that include wings, a slider, Mac and cheese bites and so much more. Everything is made to order so it comes out fresh and hot!! And they even offer you sides of sauce if you want it! The Bloody Mary itself is fantastic. Just the right amount of spicy, tomato, saucy greatness. It's definitely worth the price and the few minute wait time. You are basically ordering a drink and an appetizer all-in-one. We will definitely be back!! read more

Scrapbook Series, Part 9 This month Cathie's scrapbook led us to Killarney's Irish Pub and what better day to visit than St. Patrick's Day! We had no idea that by selecting this particular day for our visit we were actually signing up for the full "festival" experience. WAY more than the offerings of a traditional Irish pub, this annual event consumed all of the pub and a good portion of the parking lot out front. We arrived at 1:00 p.m. and were clearly "late" for the goings on. Not surprisingly, this was a 21+ only experience. The live music was well suited to the event and the band demonstrated remarkable stamina in performing (seemingly non-stop) for all of the hours we were there. The vibe was celebratory, but even with the crowds present, felt entirely safe due to the large number of uniformed security officers. Although I was content with my Rueben, I learned from a Review Team Member (not in attendance) that a superior menu item had gone unsampled during this visit. Went there a few days ago for lunch. Typical pub atmosphere and much busier than we thought it would be since it was mid week. Only saw 1 waitress who was doing a great job since she was running all over the place. We both ordered the fish and chips since we heard good things about it. Totally disappointed!!! It was obviously cooked in oil that was not hot enough. The basket and fish were soaked in oil. It was horrible. We did not want to complain because we were already feeling sorry for the waitress. We will not be returning which is too bad. We were only giving them a second chance after not going there in years. There are too many other restaurants in the area that will be seeing our $$$. read more
