The only reason this review is not lower is because the waitress was great but this is place is not capable of handling large or even medium size crowds. Pro's - Great service, plenty of parking and good atmosphere. Con's - My wife and I had a brunch reservation for 12:30 and were seated right away. After ordering drinks, we ordered our food right away. The waitress then informed us that the cooking staff were a bit behind on orders and our food would take a little longer. After about 40 minutes of waiting, I asked the waiter how much longer it would be before we received food as I had seen many individuals who were seated before us who still not had received their food as well. She told us about 20 more minutes. After 20 minutes, still no food !! Yet they were still seating people coming in and not telling them about the wait time. I told a party of three next to us who were just seated that we had been waiting an hour. They promptly got up and left. Food Quality - Our food finally arrived after about 1 hour and 15 minutes of waiting. I ordered the French Toast and side of eggs and my wife ordered the chicken and waffles. My French toast came out raw and not fully cooked as the inside of the breading was very doughy. I asked for the dish to be remade. The second dish came out the same. The eggs were very runny for scrambled eggs I'm not sure if it was soaked in butter or just not cooked throughly. I refused to have my order made a 3rd time and simply waited for my wife to finish while asking for the check. Hospitality - Our waitress was very sweet despite the miserable experience however I would have expected management to come around apologize to everyone for the wait time, offer discounts on books, none of this ever happened. I get that they want to create a party atmosphere, but stay away if you don't like it loud music. We paid for parking ($8) & waited 40 min to be seated. Then we were seated directly under a speaker. Someone brought water immediately & a short time later they took our drink order. It took about 10 min to get the drinks from the time we ordered. When out server brought the drinks, she took our food order. About 20 min later, one of 2 entrees arrived. AN HOUR LATER the other entree had STILL not arrived!! In that hour, we checked with our server 3 times to see what was going on. The 4th time we cancelled the order & paid for our check. The server took the other entree off our bill, but she was not apologetic. She didn't send a manager to our table. She just kept telling us it was "coming out right now). Came in at night and had a great experience. The atmosphere is comfortable, the lighting feels right for a late-night stop, and the service is what really makes this place shine. Doug is amazing and always great to hang out with. He's friendly, welcoming, and genuinely knows how to take care of people. He even made my friend an incredible green cocktail that became the highlight of the visit. He also walked me through all the yummy beers they have, letting me taste a few and find something I really liked. To starts off we started ordering from their appetizer menu but they only had 2 items available so we ordered the artichoke dip and the chips & salsa with guacamole. Their take on guacamole was a green watery salsa. So we asked to take that off and just bring another artichoke dip but they ran out of that as well. I think I just had bad luck with restaurants on this particular day. Before coming here, I tried another spot and was met with a two hour wait. I left and came to 18bin after seeing they had open reservations. I arrived on time and was seated shortly after. It is now 4:19 and I am leaving without ever receiving or eating my entrée. What I did not know when arriving was that it would take an hour before anyone even acknowledged that the kitchen was backed up. The tables were eventually offered chips and salsa while waiting, which the restaurant gladly provided. I honestly wanted to leave much earlier, but my mom who was dining with me did not want to deal with hopping to yet another restaurant, so we stayed much longer than I normally would have. Aubrey was our original server, but after she left for a personal matter, Adam took over. He explained that the kitchen was delayed due to a 90s or 2000s bar crawl that had unexpectedly impacted them. While I appreciated his transparency, it did not change the fact that we never received our main order. My mom and I had only ordered spinach dip and chicken and waffles. The spinach dip eventually came out right before we decided to cancel the rest of our food, and the chicken and waffles never came. On the bright side, the food we did get to try was delicious. The salsa that came with the chips was honestly some of the best I have ever had. It had a unique flavor to it, almost like okra, and was really really good. The chips themselves were fresh and paired well with both the salsa and the spinach dip. The spinach dip was also tasty and well seasoned. From what I saw, the chicken and waffles looked good when they finally made it to other tables that had been seated before us. Overall, I appreciated Adam's acknowledgment of the situation and his effort to explain what was happening, but the experience as a whole was disappointing. My auntie got french toast and it came cold to the table and we asked if a fresh on can be made and all they did was microwave the food and bring it back bc the plate was hot and the food still wasn't hot or fresh the manager came out and said he would take the drinks off for the inconvenience just to turn around and extra charge us gratuity . We had a table of 6 and had them split the bill , the waitress put a table on 6 on each bill and charged each bill gratuity as a table of 6 instead of doing the bill as a table of 6 and then splitting it they finessed a 60 dollar tip on a bill less then 200$ as a group each of our bills was less then 80$ when it was split my bill was 65$ and she charged us a 20$ gratuity as a table of 6 . 20% of 65 is 13$. Each check was charged 20$ as gratuity . We had the bottomless mimosa we had to ask if we can get our next mimosa we sat there and not once did our waitress come up to check if we needed anything we had to keep calling her over because she wasn't approaching our table . I've worked as a waitress and that's not how you charge gratuity. Then she also tried to say our bill was 300 mind you we split the bill and everyone's meal was under 80$ each so I'm not sure where she got the 300$ from to charge us 60$ gratuity as a whole table when our food added all together was under 200$ with the drinks they took off . If they left the drinks the bill was still under 300 bc the only took off the alcohol drinks not all drinks . 2 times the double brought out items I guess they didn't know what was brought out to the table but they left the extra food on the bill and when we told them they double charged us on a chicken and waffle plate the manager said are you sure you didn't just eat it .... My sister chose this diner because of TikTok and it was disappointing. We waited about 10-15 minutes to be seated. The atmosphere is hip and loud. But once seated there was no leaving. The mimosa tower was delicious, but you pay $10 more to get access to two different flavors than their traditional mimosa flavors. Had we ordered 5 mimosas individually it's $10 less. The gentleman refilling our water was phenomenal, he was always so attentive. We walked to the front to check out after waiting 10 minutes to ask and receive to-go boxes, then 10 more to receive our check(it'd probably be much longer if we decided to wait seated at our table, but at this point we were annoyed and wanted to leave). Once seated the tables were dirty, dried spilled orange juice, and bugs on the table next to us. I don't blame them as we were outside but the floors also appeared as though they hadn't been swept. I ordered steak and eggs while my friend ordered an egg omelette. The fries she had were stale and old and the guac a dark green from being left out and the coffee tasted like burnt popcorn. And even though it was a little cold outside, they had heathers that kept us warm. Started off with some bottomless mimosas and a bottle of Moet Champagne :) Ordered a couple ceviches for the table along with a spinach artichoke dip. Both delicious, the ceviche was my favorite, had the perfect amount of citrus. For entrees I highly recommend the Abe's breakfast and Philly steak tacos. I normally don't leave reviews, but this experience truly left a bad impression and needs to be addressed. My friend Erika very politely approached the bartender to ask if the music could be turned up slightly, since it had just been lowered and it completely changed the vibe. She asked in a respectful, calm tone there was nothing rude or demanding about it. Instead of responding professionally, the bartender looked at her, laughed, and said, "Are you deaf? You can't hear?" with a smirk. It was incredibly condescending and unnecessary. To make it worse, after that interaction, the bartender walked to the back of the bar and began speaking disrespectfully about my friend to the other bartender, clearly within view. It was unprofessional, immature, and honestly shocking behavior from someone in the hospitality industry. No guest should ever be mocked for asking a simple question especially when it's done kindly. Customer service is about making guests feel welcome, not belittled. There are ways to explain limitations or say no without humiliating someone. The way this was handled showed a complete lack of respect. On top of that, the overall cleanliness of the venue was disappointing. The bathrooms smelled strongly of urine and were visibly dirty, which only added to the negative experience. Cleanliness and professionalism are the bare minimum, and unfortunately, neither was delivered that night. Because of the way my friend was treated and the condition of the establishment, I will not be returning. The buffalo nachos were super tasty and despite all the toppings, the chips stayed insanely crispy. The cocktails were super refreshing and flavorful. The ambiance is like an upscale neighborhood bar where you feel welcome and everything is delicious and solid in flavor.
