When I lived in San Diego, the Broken Yolk in Pacific Beach was my go-to hangover spot. This Vegas location offers the same bright and welcoming energy. The menu here is massive with so many great breakfast and lunch options. They close at 4pm, but you can still order "dinner-ish" items; like burgers and burritos. We settled on machaca, which is eggs mixed with carne asada and peppers and my wife got the eggs Benedict. Both were delicious and my wife loved her bennies. I sampled the some, and her eggs were perfectly poached and that hollandaise sauce was so rich and creamy. Could have used a side of it for dipping! We also shared an order of the lemon ricotta pancakes. These were ok. The pancakes themselves were light and fluffy, but had very little lemon flavor. Kind of a bummer. My new favorite breakfast place in Las Vegas! This place is a gem if you're looking for breakfast and brunch in downtown vegas. It's just down from the Fremont Street experience by perhaps one back. Carson St and Las Vegas Blvd. I've been here several times (I have a pretty detailed review on Google reviews from six months or so ago. As was the case in that review, I had the machaca, which again was totally delicious. The Mexican rice and refried beans were great too (they make their refried beans from scratch...not too salty - hooray!). Our waitress Emily was wonderful as well. Very attentive and great personality. I believe the manager stopped by a couple of times to check on us as well. My friend got the meat lover's skillet, and enjoyed it. His only negative comment was he thinks it should come with toast. The regular coffee was excellent as well. Place was packed and still was seated quickly. Our waiter was very polite and friendly. Didn't have to wait long for our food to arrive. Everything looks so delicious. I ordered the Mom omelette which was decent, but everyone else's food seem to be pleasing. I feel like my omelette could've used some melted cheese inside to hold the peppers and stuff together or something was missing, but it was OK. My kids & I came in here on a Sunday morning because we were craving some good hearty food. I decided to add myself to the wait list & Im so glad I did. Conveniently located just down the street from Fremont Street Experience with a beautiful venue that you can see out on Las Vegas Blvd. We were a group of eight, and the service was top-notch from start to finish. Manager Michael came over to welcome us and make sure everything was perfect, and our server Amber was amazing and never missed a beat. They both made sure everyone was well taken care of. This location (there are others) is one block from Fremont St. It's a bright, nicely decorated space that serves booze (including mimosa and Bloody Mary flights). They're only open for breakfast and lunch. I came for breakfast. I was torn between ordering sweet or savory. I eventually got the Choose Two Benedict, getting the Border and Sope Benedicts. The Border is a sweet corn cake topped with a poached egg, carne asada and poblano sauce. The Sope is a fried sope with shredded beef, poached egg, ranchero sauce, avocado, salsa cheese and sour cream. Both were decent. The sope was on the tough side, the meats not too flavourful. Service was awful, we waited 50 minutes after checking in the first time and when it was our turn, we were then told we needed to check in again for an additional wait time for 45 minutes. We left, no one is announcing anything in the waiting area and they don't follow their online waitlist either. I'd advise spending your money elsewhere where they actually care about making sure their customers get seated and in the door and taken care of. I wasn't expecting them to wipe my feet but at least was expecting to get seated within a reasonable time frame. I get that the holidays are busy as well, but you should at least follow your queue. The girls and I go to brunch every month and this month was my friends pick, and she picked this place. She thought it would be great because it's on Las Vegas Blvd. well I have to say none of us were really impressed. I ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes. they did not taste like lemon nor ricotta. I thought there might be like a lemon curd ricotta on top or something but no, I let the waiter know and he just said oh really and walked away, but he thought better of it and came back. He was asking me if I wanted to try another flavor and I didn't know because the girls were already done with their food and what was the point and he insisted he could bring me another flavor so I said OK and got the cinnamon ones. They were way better than the other. Both of my friends were not impressed with their meals either I asked one of them to tell me what they wanted me to say on Yelp and she said I don't know I'll have to think about it because it wasn't really that good and I said well I will just put that then and my other friend barely ate half of her food, so it wasn't the best experience for us. We've been to such great places. It was a bit of a disappointment in the end when I got the bill, the waiter charged me for the different flavor of pancakes are you kidding me? if I had known that, I definitely would have said no thank you.
