Really like the decor and the seasonal decorations were over the top. Had a seat at the bar, and ordered Korean Fried Chicken, Bacon Fries, Mussels in Wine Broth, a Martini and an Old Fashioned. Friendly customer service, but the bartenders are not great. Three attempts to make a simple Dry Vodka Martini Shaken and twice it was a Dirty Watery Martini . The Old Fashioned was good. 2025 visits: 1909 Gastropub is always a solid choice whenever in Temecula California. Brynn was our server today and the service was great! Pleasant bar inside with lots of seating. The outdoor patio also has plenty of seating and you can people watch as you enjoy your meal. This visit we had brunch and tried the rolled blueberry coconut French toast...5/5 wow what a delicious dish. We also tried birria hash with avocado. This place seems to be a hotspot in Temecula. . They still had a 30 minute wait at 2 on a Saturday but we were able to snag seats at the bar. They have both a large indoor area along with a huge outside patio. We just finished a hike and I was chugging water and the bartenders were good about keeping my water glass filled and were super friendly I got their signature burger with garlic fries. Went here this past weekend, and the food was honestly, just okay. The service at this place was incredible though, and our server(s) were awesome, very quick, kind, and coordinated! Also, the restaurant itself is beautiful and in a great location. The food didn't blow me away though. Our party of 8 ended up getting a mix of a lot of things, from the burgers, the gnocchi, and the birria tacos. The birria tacos were not my favorite, as the consome was a tad cold and the meat wasn't that flavorful. The gnocchi was not very good. A couple of our group tasted a few bites of the gnocchi and each taster agreed that there was something off about the texture and taste. Other than that, I heard great things about the burgers, the sandwiches, and the steak that others in our party got. Not overdone with too many ingredients. The chef knows what they are doing. The barrio tacos was exactly what you expect out of a good taco made with tender meat. 1909 knows how to make a Ceaser. If you like ceasers definitely order from this place. The miso-glazed black cod is AMAZING! If you know anything about cod then you know that black cod is THE best. It's a very rich and oily fish that needs to be cooked and paired with the right food so it's not too oily. The way 1909 paired it with the jasmine rice, egg plant, and miso sauce was AMAZING. I ended up having too many appetizers so by the time the mains came I was only able to have a few bites. Let me tell you, this dish tasted almost better the second day when I had it for left overs. The New York Steak Frites was PERFECT! I ordered it medium rare. I kind of wish I ordered it rare but that was on my part. The cognac cremini mushroom sauce was perfect with the steak. I kind of wish I had swapped out the frites for a vegetable or potato but it could be because I had so many appetizers. I'm assuming all of their desserts are amazing based on the creme brûlée. Friends recommendation of late night eatery. The location gives a Old Western/ beach vibe because it's in downtown Temecula where there are bunch of business of varieties where you pay for parking so come around 2 hours before closing to avoid paying for parking The decor is beautiful as the inside and outside is decorated for the holidays. Including the bathroom. Outside seating is available (cannot change once seated as reservations are tight). Sodas are fountain and are coke-products. Tea is bag and it comes with its very own pot. Birthday person gets a free root beer float where the mug is entirely covered in sprinkles. Menu consist is appetizers, salads, burgers, steak and only one pasta entree. Order the deville eggs, potato gnoisto (dinner portion), and New York ribeye with steak fritters. Presentation is top notch. Deville eggs are panko fried and it's fried to perfection. Potatoe gnoisto is normally appetizer (8 small dumplings) while dinner portion (16 small dumplings) can be requested to bring as an appetizer. New York ribeye with steak fritters is perfect as the ribeye is seared perfectly and the mushroom sauce adds depth to perfection fried French fries. When it comes to service, give your waiter/waitress credit as they juggling to tackle other tables during busy time so be patient. But here's where the biggest complaint: two seasonal nonalcoholic drinks - jumping juice and it's all in the holidays. Originally got the it's all in the holidays as I thought it was suppose to be dessert drink. But all you get is ice fill all the way to top with heavily whip cream and very little liquid. Address to waitress and offer redo or something different that's equivalent since already close the tab. Order the Jumping juice as it's a pomegranate drink. Did it make better? Nope! Came here with my sisters to celebrate one of their birthdays, the service was so warm and kind. I can't remember our waitresses name but she was so kind and even helped me sisters pick out their very first alcoholic drinks ( I was DD so I couldn't drink). She even went so far to bring out a birthday float for my sister!! It was such a fun night the drinks were so good!! The food on the other hand was a bit bland and needed a bit more seasoning. I know for a fact, I will not be getting restaurant recommendations from those people again. 1909, was not it. Decent place, but not as amazing as people make it sound. Came around 6pm for dinner time and it was fairly slow which makes sense for a Monday. It was a hot day, and since they have an open door concept, it was so hot and the misters they had going outside their front area and outdoor seating, made the restaurant inside feel like I was trapped in the south of Florida, It was so humid and I was truly uncomfortable. We ordered two alcoholic drinks which was only okay, the fresh gnocchi (which I felt texture was off), burger and fries (fries were fried to perfection, burger was lacking flavor) and the birria tacos (was dry and the soup wasn't flavorful). We also told our server that we were in a rush and had to get going, she promised us that our food would be out in time, which it was. She was sweet and got us our bill but took forever to come ring us up. Other than that, she was nice, but not personable. Overall, nothing wowing. read more

Boyyyy do I love a good burger, and I have had my fair share. So they had two burgers, I liked. The double smash and the 1909 burger. I love myself a smash burger, but in this case, there wasn't much of a supporting cast to elevate the burger, just lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese and mayo. Very much run-of-the-mill standard ingredients. On the other hand, the1909 was, dressed to the 9s. Brioche bun, sharp white cheddar, bacon-onion jam, garlic aioli, tomato, and arugula. If only I could have these toppings on the double smash........That's exactly what I asked for. The waitress was more than accommodating. I have to say hands down one of my favorite burgers of 2026. I almost forgot throw some pickles in that bad boy....... and it a wrap!! Also get their honey butter seasoning on the fries. read more

1909 was a place we finally tried after hearing our parents rave about it--and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The burgers here are stellar. We ordered the bison burgers along with a side, and everything was cooked beautifully and full of flavor. You can really tell there's care put into the ingredients and execution. It's the kind of burger that feels satisfying without being overly heavy. Service was excellent across the board. Everyone we interacted with was attentive, welcoming, and genuinely pleasant, which made the overall experience even better. The ambiance is also worth mentioning. The space is cute and currently set up as a winter wonderland-themed barn, which adds a lot of charm and makes the dining experience feel warm and inviting. We enjoyed nearly everything we ordered, with the one exception being the Hamachi & Ahi Tartare. While well prepared, the combination didn't quite work for us flavor-wise. That said, everything else we had was great and more than made up for that one dish. Overall, it was a very enjoyable meal, and we'll definitely be coming back whenever we're in the area. Came here on what turned out to be an unexpectedly super busy night, and overall we had a really great experience. First off, the 1909 Hazy was excellent -- perfectly balanced bitterness with just the right amount of sweetness. You still get that bright citrus pop that hazy lovers look for, without it being overpowering. Definitely one of the highlights of the night. Food-wise, everything hit the mark. The sliders came out fresh and warm, and the flavor was spot on -- simple, satisfying, and clearly made with care. The shrimp ceviche was super delicious, especially with the avocado and red onion combo. The only minor note is that it was a little light on acidity, but squeezing the lime slice over it brought everything together perfectly. The kids were very happy too, which is always a win. They absolutely loved the mac and cheese and chicken strips, judging by how quickly most of it disappeared. Service was a bit on the slow side, but given how packed the place was, it was completely understandable. Our server Jenna was fantastic -- super friendly, accommodating, and consistently checked in on us despite the rush. She really helped make the experience enjoyable. Atmosphere-wise, this place has great vibes. It's definitely lively and loud with people's chatter, but there's also good music playing, and they clearly have solid taste in their playlist. We sat outside, which had awesome décor, dark lighting, and subtle hanging lights that made it feel cozy and fun -- the perfect setting to hang out and relax. One thing to note is parking: it's street parking only, so you might have to park a bit farther and walk. We got lucky and snagged a close spot with no meters, but that may not always be the case. Overall, great drinks, tasty food, welcoming service, and a fun atmosphere. I came in for a couple cocktails so we sat at the bar but ended up dining in as well after checking out the food menu. Everyone behind the bar was super helpful and friendly. They checked on us regularly and just had some nice conversation. I tasted my bfs cien años cocktail and it was pretty good, I had much fruitier beverages this time. I considered the curry because I've ordered it before and it's amazing. We decided to share a few apps and sides instead, and we loved them all. The shrimp and chorizo was our favorite of the 3. The Caesar Brussels were freakin good man. The fact that my bf went in for seconds says it all, he's not a veggie guy particularly. The empanadas were good too, I would've liked to of had more chimichurri, maybe as a side dip or something. I love the ambience when you sit inside. It's a little dimmer at night but there's lamps on the bar top and twinkle lights on the ceiling. I came in a day early to enjoy the Xmas decor that really amps up the vibe. 1909 has a pretty weird setup inside--it's basically one long wall where everyone sits on the same side, so if you're with just one person, you end up uncomfortably close to the next group. The food is okay but a little overpriced, and there's almost always a long wait. I've never been blown away by anything there, though I do love their deviled eggs. The main reason I'm giving it 3 stars is the late-night brunch. My little sister and I have gone, and it's just fun--I like having the option. Came for my friends bachelorette party- we had a larger party so we were able to make a reservation! Keep in mind, for parties smaller than eight you cannot make a reservation. We were able to sit outside under the misters with constant attention from the weight staff who were very accommodating to our request of food allergies. Jordan was incredible and super smiley with us while still running around the entire patio! The food was very yummy and massive portions, unfortunately our burgers were slightly overcooked, but everything was delicious otherwise. The birria tacos weren't my favorite (a little dry and missing flavor), but the chorizo and shrimp with bread totally made up for it so good! We also had the shrimp and crab empanada. My friend absolutely loved it, though it wasn't really my thing. The service was friendly but a bit slow we had about three different servers and it took some time for our food and the bill. When I made the reservation and checked my email, I thought everything was set. However, I decided to call a few days before to confirm and was directed to speak with the head person of reservations. I believe her name was Kristen, but I did not meet her when we arrived as I wished to thank her for her assistance.We had a party of eight seniors and do to the heat, she suggested sitting outside. I have come to this place two different times. This is a combined review. The first time was my first time visiting this restaurant. We wanted to stop by as we have moved into the area. We heard many wonderful things about this place. We actually stopped at bar before that recommended this restaurant. We only came in for drinks. It was very busy, and seemed like the place to be at. My two friends ordered beer, and I asked for a "pretty" cocktail and if the bartender could surprise me. Maybe I should've specified. Well, i was made an old fashion. While I occasionally like an old fashioned I was not expecting that. Granted it was very good. My second visit was for dinner. My best friend had already been and she even mentioned how good the food was. She had ordered a burger. I originally wanted the ceviche, but they had run out. I had to make a second choice which was fish tacos. We both got drinks as well. Our food took awhile to come out, and our drinks hadn't made it out either. We stopped a waiter that wasn't ours and we finally got our drinks. Unfortunately they were not good. We got our food and my friend's burger was undercooked, and the taste of the fish from the tacos were really good, but the tortilla was really soggy. I do really want to like this place as I've heard good things, but I stand in the middle due to my two experiences. We paid our food, and mentioned our issues to the waitress she was kind enough to take the drinks off our tab as well didn't drink them at all. Maybe next time will be our third time is a charm. When we checked back, they claimed the Wi-Fi was down and then told us we would need to wait another 30 minutes. The skinny, blonde hostess at the front was extremely condescending and showed no concern about the inconvenience or lack of communication. Tried this place for the first time, after my husband mention it's always busy- now I see why! We were seated outside ( despite the warm day, the breeze made it comfortable). Our server a friendly woman ( forgot the get her name) was helpful and explained everything on the menu. We ordered longganisa breakfast, ube french toast, charcuterie board and pitcher of Sangria (red) Everything was delish, charcuterie board was wiped out, and my husband finished the longganisa in no time, the ube french toast was tasty though the bread was a bit dry - we love it more if it were moister to match the Ube.
