My family and I moved to Temecula over a year ago, yet we had not made it out to the famous wineries until this past April. We had gone to Bolero and had an amazing experience our waiter Mark was absolutely amazing to me and my family. The service was great the outdoor seating was perfect as there were 8 of us including our four kids and my niece. The ambiance was just perfect. The food is on another level! There is not one thing that we haven't not liked! Plus there is a kids menu that my kids love. The pasta is the fan favorite. This review is based off their breakfast brunch! They offer it until 1PM. My girls and I went on the weekend and I believe the price is about $60 per person. They offer an omelette bar, meat stations, a raw bar with ahi tuna slices, salmon poke, shrimp, and mussels, and some other hot food items and salads. From the buffet I loved their braised beef, mash potatoes, and empanadas. I would refrain from getting the salmon poke, as it was extremely fishy. It was a standard breakfast buffet with few gourmet items being a hit or miss. Lots of times people were in and out of stations, so I didn't bother to flag someone down for an omelette. Tapas Tuesday are out on the patio and first come first serve for tables. You grab a table and a server will come help you. It was busy and the service was a bit slow, but the love music playing was amazing and filled the time. We tried all the food on the tapas Tuesday menu and the best thing was the steak. I love living a couple of hours away from the beautiful wineries in Temecula. However, I must admit, it could be difficult to find a winery that offers quality wine AND food. Hence, when I saw the reviews for Bolero, I thought I MUST try it, and boy, was it worth it! Brunch was amazing. Paella, seafood, empanadas, all the different Latin dishes, the desserts and the wine! There's a section for the restaurant that includes both indoor and outdoor seating. There's also an adjacent building for their wine tasting which looked to have a ton of people. We were seated outside where we had a view of the vineyards. SALMON & AHI TUNA CRUDO ($25) - the sauce was refreshing and spicy. The chips that came with it were hard to scoop into the crudo so we had to use our spoons to eat. 4/5 EMPANADAS ($22) - there are both chicken and beef flavors. They were crispy and I preferred the chicken. 4/5 CROQUETAS ($15) - the croquettes themselves were decent with a crunchy outside and soft potatoes inside. I especially liked the short ribs underneath. 3.5/5 LINGUINI DE MARISCOS ($42) - this was definitely our favorite dish. The sauce was flavorful and I liked the big shrimp and scallops. The cheesy bread was also nice to dip into the sauce. 4.5/5 BOLERO PAELLA ($75) - they say it takes 45 minutes but for us it only took 30. I liked the beef, lobster, and shrimp on top but the rice was a little soggy. I would've liked more socarrat (the crispy layer on the bottom) because there really wasn't much at all. 3.5/5 For drinks we ordered the smoke & mirrors ($18) and isla rosada ($18) which were both good. Had a reservation for 8 pax, we came a little bit early and had our table ready inside. Its weekend, there's a guy who's playing music in the corner, not too loud just enough that you will enjoy listening while others are busy talking to each other. Paella order took a while to prepare and were aware of that so we order as soon as we sat in our table, the male server is attentive, busy Saturday but he was able to serve us on time for drinks and food order. Amazing experience at Bolero for it being our first time. We did have a reservation for a party of 11 celebrating a birthday. We did wait a bit but not so bad for it being a busy Saturday afternoon. Our server Marlene was amazing and attentive making sure everything was good. Food was amazing, we tried the paella the portion for 4 is pretty big. My favorite was the linguini de mariscos. Finally got to use my wine membership at Europa Village and what better way than with dinner at the Bolero Restaurant. I made a reservation through OpenTable, which was quick and seamless. We arrived about 10 minutes early for our 7:45 PM reservation, checked in with the hostess, and were told we'd receive a text when our table was ready. Right on cue, at 7:48 PM, we got the notification. After checking back in, we were promptly escorted to our table. My first impression of the interior was a bit mixed. It's definitely a nice space, but the overall vibe felt slightly off. The layout seems like it would benefit from a more open concept the current flow makes it feel a bit informal. That said, the crowd is a blend of guests coming from tastings, hotel visitors, and locals just enjoying a night out, which might explain the atmosphere. Our server, Tina, took about 15-20 minutes to greet us and take our drink and appetizer orders. Once things got going, though, the experience improved significantly. The food was delicious definitely the highlight of the evening. We shared the empanadas and garnachas to start, both excellent. My in-laws ordered a dish with beans and sausage, while my partner and I went with the steak plate. Everything was cooked perfectly, and the chimichurri sauce really stood out. We paired dinner with a bottle of Tempranillo (my pick), which complemented the meal beautifully. As the evening wrapped up and closing time approached, we did feel a bit rushed to settle the bill. I mentioned my wine membership to Tina and provided my ID for verification. The check came back shortly after with the membership discount applied. Parking was easy there's plenty of open ground parking, so no hassle there. Overall, a great meal with a few service and ambiance hiccups, but definitely worth a visit. read more

We made reservations & they sat us in an area I did not like because of the weather (outside) but quickly cleared a table for us inside! It was a weekend so it was packed but the service was still on point! We started with the fried calamari & it was the best I've had in a long time! Paired with a bottle of wine-Tempranillo Then we had the seafood paella which was worth the wait (takes time to make). Service was great & nice music playing. Then our waitress heard we were celebrating our Anniversary so she brought us a special dessert such a nice treat, since we were full from the food & wine. This was my third visit here and it has been consistently great! The presentation on food itself is always beautiful and the flavor delicious. I was however disappointed with the Pastel de Chocolate. Although it was presented beautifully, it didn't have much stage presence as I thought it would. Our server checked on us frequently and our glasses of water filled. If there is one thing I could change with the restaurant, it would be the chair or table height. The tables are a little higher than usual and eating isn't at a comfortable position for me. I am petite so the table height is probably meant for average or tall height. It definitely isn't ergonomic in my opinion. My absolute favorite dish was the brussels sprouts. I wasn't expecting the sprouts petals (I should probably read the fine print), but was pleasantly surprised. The combination of Brussels sprouts, goat cheese, and the pomegranate jewels melting in your mouth, are just divine. I would come here again, but would make certain to find a better table. read more

Perfect place for Christmas Eve lunch! The restaurant had cute decor. They were able to accommodate for a same day reservation. The food was delicious and our server Jeri was next level. We ordered a couple apps to start. The calamari was good and comes with a side of green sauce that has a mild heat. Both paired well. The calamari had a light coating and was tender. Next we had the duo of deep fried empanadas. Mild chicken atop red sauce and slightly spicy ground beef atop a spicy green sauce. Both were really good. Then for our main, we opted for the Tomahawk and Paella. Wow! I didn't expect it to arrive and be carved table side. They wheeled the hanging tomahawk on a cart with the paella. Our server brushed the steak with melted butter and used a torch to sear the outside of the steak a bit more. Then she carved it and sliced it for easy family style servings. While I was expecting the paella to be served on a paella pan, I was a little bummed it was transferred from a flat bottom pan to a ceramic dish but the paella pan for this serving size would probably be too big for the table LOL For dessert we ordered the banana pudding brûlée, churros and chocolate dip, and berry cobbler. They were a nice finish to the meal. When my brother in law ordered a glass of red wine (I forget which one), our server Jeri came back with 2 red wines and asked him to try both as she thought he might enjoy the other one a bit more. Well guess what. She was totally right!! She also went above and beyond and surprised them with a complimentary anniversary dessert with a warm lemon cake, Tahitian vanilla ice cream and strawberry. Parking is free and ample. The atmosphere is sophisticated, yet modern and warm. We had reservation and got seated immediately inside when we arrived. Our server was so friendly and helpful in sharing recommendations. We kicked off our celebration with a few of their tapas. Chicken empanadas was loaded and very tasty. The grilled octopus was tender and flavors match well with lentils and cherry tomato drizzled in olive oil. OMG! Watermelon salad with creamy whipped burrata cheese and mint was so refreshingly good. The perfect summer salad indeed. For our main, we got Mariscos & Chorizo Paella, which takes 45 minutes to prepare. Its comes in 2 sizes. We got smaller size and it was huge, easily shareable 2-3 people. Flavor profile was amazing and seafood tasted fresh. Even the rice was cooked to perfection. New York Steak with petite potato was cooked medium rare and paired nicely with chimichurri and guajillo sauce. We planned to do more wine tasting afterwards, so we passed on having wine with our meal. Desserts are must. We finished our meal with churros and almond olive oil cake (Torta de Bolero) for dessert. Both were amazing! We also got complimentary break pudding with vanilla ice cream to celebrate our anniversary. Quite delectable. All in all, we enjoyed everything and very satisfying meal. But honestly chik fil a will check on you more. We asked for the check and a manager offered to give us desserts for free and not only did he not bring the check but they never brought desserts! I didn't even want desserts but it was so rude to offer and ghost us. The food was good but not for the really rough service and the really long wait. One of our friends had to send back a steak because it was nearly raw and it took THIRTY MINUTES to come back. Everything about this dinner was frustrating. I probably won't come back. I finally had a chance to visit after my partner went earlier this year with friends and I was excited to finally try their food for myself. We had a reservation booked in advance so getting seated was very quick. We received a booth to sit in, and was allowed to grab items right away. My favorites were the empanadas and prime rib eye, both were savory and full of flavor. I was not impressed with the cold seafood section and desserts though, as they were mostly pre-made items displayed nicely. Overall, for a $60 buffet, I thought that it was definitely worth it.
