    Frozen watermelon mimosa
    Lola G.

1909 is a beautiful restaurant, for sure! It is what drew us to come and visit. We started our brunch with some cocktails. I ordered the frozen watermelon mimosa. I was not expecting much of this drink but WOW was it beautifully crafted and absolutely delicious. Even though it was a mimosa, it tasted more like mexican watermelon candy. The drink was my favorite part of our visit. For food, I ordered the fried chicken eggs benedict. It was just OK. The hollandaise sauce could have used a bit more flavor, and same for the chicken. But the absolute worst part of the meal was the country potatoes (they were bland beyond repair). My husband ordered the french toast and that tasted WAY better than my meal (definitely had ordering regrets). Overall, great atmosphere and drinks. A bit pricey, however, and not all menu items are great.

During our visit around Downtown Temecula, we stopped by 1909 on a whim! They seated us very, very quickly on a late Tuesday night. We were given the menus and we immediately knew what we wanted to order. We had a round of drinks and I immediately ordered their mussels. Their mussels were very, very addicting! It was delicious and the sauce they used for it was fantastic. I can put this place on my list of mussel cravings. Throughout our time there, our server checked on us numerous times. I believe I need to come back to fully experience their menu, but for the little time I was there, I enjoyed it. Thank you for having us!

Didn't realize it's been 2 years since we've eaten here. The line is usually long but this time we walked right in and sat at a table outside with misters and great view of Old Town. We ordered fried cauliflower, bone marrow sliders and burger. Food was good but not sure I would order the sliders again. Didn't really taste the bone marrow. Friendly server and fun vibes though.

Brandon did an amazing job. He was attentive and made our time enjoyable. The food was great! Our favorite was the Cubano sandwich.

1909 in Old Town Temecula is lively but still relaxed, making it a great place to catch up with friends, family, or enjoy a weekend date. I ordered the chilaquiles, and they were absolutely loaded. The portions were huge, and I loved the combination of tender shredded pork, crispy chips that still held their texture, fresh avocado, queso fresco, and perfectly cooked eggs on top. Every bite was packed with flavor. My mom ordered the eggs Benedict, which came with crispy breakfast potatoes. Everything looked fresh, and the potatoes were perfectly golden and seasoned. We also had hot chocolate with our meal, and it paired perfectly with brunch since it was chilly outside. The service was friendly, our food came out fairly quick for being busy but it usually takes awhile here. We've been here a few times. Not our go-to spot or our favorite but if you're looking for a delicious brunch spot in Old Town Temecula with generous portions and a fun atmosphere, 1909 is definitely worth a visit.

It's located in the middle of Old Town and it's always poppin! Luckily the time's I've been, the wait hasn't been too long. There plenty of indoor, outdoor, and bar seating. The servers are always sweet and quick. They have a variety on their menu. Their 1909 burger was so delicious. I'm usually not a burger girl but it was stacked with fresh ingredients. I got the seasoned fries which were good. Their birria hash was packed with flavor. I enjoy their hazy beers and I had to try their mimosa slush which was a bit strong in my opinion. The alcohol really punched me in the face. 1909 is a great spot that I enjoy going to whenever I'm in the area.

Crab and shrimp empanada were delicious. The fried deviled eggs were tasty and different. We each ordered an appetizer with water before heading down the street to happy hour. The mango habanero shrimp ceviche was so delicious. Right amount of mango sauce and habanero that nothing is over powering the taste of the other. Very tasty. In this 93 degree heat the mist system was on and we were very comfortable. With the appetizers you only received three deviled eggs the empanadas was a total of three but this ceviche was a pretty good portion.

These sticky ribs were so good!

I absolutely LOVE this spot! I go here every time I am anywhere near Temecula and will continue to go back! There is street parking, or you can park in a large lot behind the restaurant. The ambiance is hip and open, with very clean bathrooms. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating with a very large covered patio out front. It's located in old town Temecula and is such a hidden gem! I ordered many delicious drinks, but loved allll of the frozen cocktails (as it was incredibly hot!) Service was great, and always is. The server gave us some great food and drink recs and we started with a charcuterie board that was a 10/10 and made our way through the rest of the menu, as we wanted to try a lot of different things.

Very busy place, wait time was 40 min. The hostess and servers were very friendly. Super cute ambience! They have outdoor and indoor seating. We sat outside and the heaters worked amazing, since it was a chilly evening. The food was a solid 3. The raw oysters are much better than the grilled ones. I had their clam chowder which was... ok. The rib eye was a solid 3. Too much flavor fusion going on. The chicken Sammie and the birria tacos I highly recommend. I loved the location. There's a lot of different places to try on this little strip in Temecula.

I love coming here for dinner. It's one of my favorite places in Old Town Temecula. The fish tacos tasted a little off during my June 2026 visit, so I was a little disappointed. The pistachio tiramisu was a miss. I think I'll stick with dessert elsewhere. Other than that, the food and service are great!

During our visit to Temecula, we wanted to try a new place to eat. So we stopped at 1909 to eat lunch. We ordered steak, potatoes, shrimp/chorizo, burger, and Cuban sandwich along with drinks. All were really good. Bloody Mary came with friend chicken wing and bacon along with olives, tasted good. Burger was really good as it reminded us of another place. The shrimp and chorizo was very good. The steak was juicy and the sauce really good. The cubano sandwich was just ok. Lemonade was good but not spectacular. We will definitely come back, but try a few things different and a couple of the items we had today.

Came here two days after our wedding in Temecula it was delicious. We ended up sitting outside and it felt so refreshing. They had misters and fans and it was about 98° outside. The food was so good. They knew that we just got married and gifted us a root beer float! our server was amazing very quick very nice. The place is clean. It's just a total vibe!

Came by on a Monday for lunch! Interior design/decor is modern yet not lost. Cool restaurant bar to chill or hang out! Got their 1909 burger but don't sleep on their smash burger because they look just as great if not better! Patty has that nice char, meaty taste to follow after! That's how it should be done! Customer service was spot on too! Not too much but attentive enough or easy to flag down for anything you need. The restaurant has everything well oiled, their food runners know what to serve where/who.

What is the meaning of 1909?

1909 Temecula, founded in September 2014, is a tribute to the Machado building, the location where the restaurant and bar now lives. The name, 1909, comes from the year the building was re-built after burning down in 1908.…

We chose Luke's due to the positive reviews and the fact that they offered reservations and rooftop dining. When we arrived, staff was friendly. We were promptly seated at our outdoor table. I had hoped for a nice view of Old Town, but our view was actually of an empty lot. The menu contains a large amount of Amarican fare, generally bar food. The cocktails offered were basic, not crafted cocktails. My friends each ordered a spritz. I ordered a take on a mimosa called the "Bad Mom Mimosa". It was OK. We decided to share the empanadas, as our server spoke highly of them. We also shared the truffle Mac and the fried artichoke hearts. The Mac was creamy and had a really good truffle flavor. I'm glad we shared three ways, as it would have been too rich. The empanadas were pretty good, though nothing too out of the ordinary. The artichoke hearts were disappointing, as they had too much batter and little artichoke. When we were done, my friend was offered either the chocolate cake or the cheesecake as a dessert. It was nice of them to offer a free birthday dessert. She chose the chocolate cake. Unfortunately, our server forgot our spoons. We waited and waited... and I had to run in and ask for some. Once we had spoons, we found that the cake was too overly sweet to eat. There was another wait before we left as they were cleaning the bathrooms. I'm glad they clean the bathrooms, but to do both at the same time on a Saturday night was a bit much as a line was forming. Between waiting for the spoons and the bathroom, we were more than ready to leave. All in all, Lukes is an OK place to grab a bite or a drink, but I would probably try other restaurants in the area before returning.

I get the feeling that they're mostly "regulars" and I can see why. The environment is splendid and the service is top-notch. The World Cup was on, and the crowd was a little jazzed up which made the place rather lively. I have a hard time with the sport since 30,000.000 - 8 year olds play it in North Dakota alone! It just seems a bit pedestrian. There's a couple of food items on the menu that I think are attractive but I was already well fed so I had a pickle spear which was very garlicky and delicious. My beer choice was one of my favorite local makers in this region "PURE PROJECT". Man, this was good: "NEVERENDING WEEKEND" a murky IPA: Aroma: A tropical punch of mango, peach, and bright lime zest. Taste Profile: Lush, sweet notes of pineapple and coconut lead the sip, followed by a crisp and zesty navel orange finish. Mouthfeel: It offers a medium body with a highly drinkable, "juicy" feel. My beer buddy, and good neighbor opted for the "BOCK AMBER" and one of the best values-only 5$ ! THE TASTE IS SLIGHTLY SWEET WITH NOTES OF ROASTED NUTS AND CARAMEL. LIGHTLY HOPPED, THIS AMBER LAGER GOES DOWN SMOOTH. Travis was our kind expert server tonight and also apparently one of the owners. From what I gather Travis and Garth are the proprietors of this fine well executed establishment. Sort of sounds like a country and western duo. But actually, now that I think about it, I'm not certain they aren't? We had a nice chat and Travis was very gracious and told us the intriguing story about how they came up with the name "QUAIL" so be sure to ask, I can only assume he'll indulge you as well. The back room changes from time to time depending on what art show is up. It's a very cozy comfortable spot and nicely decorated. The entire concept is brilliant, right down to the "merch" for sale and expertly curated interior design. This is an elevated scene for Temecula. I'm digging it big-time. I wonder if they ever have a DJ spinning in there or a jazz trio in the back room or something, that would be pretty groovy. Thank you "QUAIL" for the great service, excellent beer and the terrific facility. Best of luck. See you soon. ***FYI: credit goes to "Tower of Power" for the opening lyric on this review!
