    Hot sauce was good!
    Tina R.

The place is nestled right in the middle of ski valley Taos! It's right by the main area. It's beautiful inside with a wood burning fire, comfortable seating to get out from the cold and the service was spot on. They were very attentive and kind. While I can appreciate the craft that went into the cook, I was a bit disappointed in the execution. What we ordered: Eggs Benedict: it was absolutely beautiful when it came out, but upon breaking open the poached egg, it was about 10-15 seconds under done. I had runny whites, which shouldn't happen. Also, the hollandaise sauce did not have that lemon flavor (you need a bit more punch). Finally, the sauce to me was broken as I could see and taste the eggs curdled. While I loved the fresh spinach and tomatoes as it gave it a good acidic taste, I was just a bit disappointed in the execution. The potatoes were good. They were fried to perfection but it needed a bit more zest or seasoning. Breakfast Buffet: typical buffet of sausage, eggs, bacon, pastries etc. nothing exciting or anything to be negative about. The one good thing to note is that there was a pastry that had some sort of apricot or peach jam in the middle which was lovely! Out of the places we ate in the Ski Valley, I would come back here to eat lunch or dinner.

I was a little worried that there wouldn't be many dining choices at TSV, and am generally skeptical about hotel restaurants, so I was pleasantly surprised with 192. General decor of the restaurant is a little sterile except by the fireplace, which is where we sat. Service was friendly and relaxed. Kip, our server, was genuine and played along with my partner's random jokes. The food was also better than I expected. The tuna tartare was well presented, but in retrospect, I would have liked it with a little more soy sauce and salt. The brick oven chicken was beautiful and moist with a just sweet enough glaze. The wilted kale could have been a touch more wilted, but we liked the flavors and the added beef was cooked to temperature. The skillet cookie was delicious. Cocktails were also very well made. All in all, a great time!

    Pork chop

The food, service, and ambiance were good. I got the pork chop and it was decent. It was cooked perfectly and the sauce was made of a green chile/apple sauce mix. It was interesting but something I personally wouldn't order again...especially considering the price. The service was very good. Always being checked up on. And the vibe of the restaurant was relaxed. I'll probably come here again but will definitely try something other than the pork chop.

We were staying at the Blake's and this place was recommended by one of the employees. He mentioned the restaurant has been doing really good lately, which gave me optimism considering the general reviews on yelp. I later found out they have had a new chef. I was very pleased with my meal! The quality and taste are definitely top tier. Our server was super nice and tentative cheerful and smiley. We sat at a table near the fireplace which gave a very cozy feel. I love that the kitchen is open so you can actually see the shops at work. I ordered the breaded salmon and my fiance ordered the lamb pasta.

Excellent atmosphere. The German dumpling main entree was very good. Something we stepped out of the box and tried. So glad we did! The drinks at the bar were fantastic, too. If I were to give this anything less than a four it would be from the Caesar salad. It was just OK. All in all, great atmosphere, great service, great food!

192 at The Blake is one of the "nicest" restos in Taos Ski Valley. It doesn't offer the best food in this small town - they do feature the priciest - but it's very convenient, cozy, and has a good "scene." I think we dropped in at least four times during out stay at The Blake Hotel. We had everything from their minestrone soup, caesar salad... food orders stopped there because nothing really wowed us, and the prices didn't fit the flavor. (Though, pizzas seem to be their bread and buttah... and room service for Blake Hotel patrons). They do have the best wine offerings in the area. We tasted just about everything on tap and by the glass, along with beers (shout out to Fat TIre) and endless espresso martinis. Note: They don't really have anything to make a michelada. :( But... another shout out to the staff. The front and back of the house work really hard to cater to a diverse crowd of families and rude bougie folk. Keep up the hard work, Blake 192 staff!

We were in the area for a vacation for a week and we found this restaurant on one of our last days in the area. When we reserved it we were not familiar with the area. This restaurant is located inside of the resort the Blake. It feels very fancy. Had I known that I would have dressed up but I did not do enough research before we went. I was looking for a good meal nearby that was open. When you drive up you see an area where you can valet your car. We had parked down below and walked over the bridge and walk up to the resort. Having never been here we walked in and looked around and thank goodness there was a man at the desk to tell us to ride the elevator up to the restaurant. Upon arriving we let them know we had a reservation and we were sat in the middle of the dining room near a window. The view is awesome anywhere in the room. We ordered a hummingbird and a gold rush. The gold rush was amazing. The hummingbird was terrible. It tasted like soda water and nothing else. The manager brought me a pink drink that was amazingly better! We ordered filet mignon ($48) that came with wilted spinach and mashed potatoes and the rainbow trout which they were out of. So I opted for the grilled chicken with wilted spinach and sweet potatoes with cooked garlic on the side. It was amazingly good. We took the dessert of the day home which was chocolate cake. Service was great. Our waiter was Aaron and the female manager was amazing and accomodating. This was our best meal by far on our vacation. Getting out was tricky. Our elevator took us to a floor with locked hallway doors but we made it out. I would 100% go again.

Despite its cuteness however, it doesn't look like it's been visited by many based on the number of photos uploaded as of April 18, 2026. It might be its location as it's tucked in a quieter area from the center of Taos (it's still very much walkable from it though.) Well, I shall (thus) contribute to it. Great selection of whites and reds. Unfortunately however, none of the reds I got to sample didn't strikingly impress me and yet the Rioja was the best one out of the 7 displayed upfront. I hence went with a glass of it. Despite the beautiful weather on a Saturday at around 5:25pm, nobody was there. The live band for the night had just gotten to it where they were doing a little rehearsal. There was a good hour to the start of the show. The food menu also had a good selection of small bites from charcuterie board to hummus plate to meatballs to dumplings to flatbread etc. And the prices of them were mostly $10 to $15 (except the boards.) I had stopped at a different wine bar earlier where I had gotten me a few food for me to eat at the hotel so I didn't get anything at this place. Maybe next time. It's a great place for girls' night out, a date night or a solo dining as well. As I have mentioned already, live music every night. You can sit close to the band or a bit away from it near the entrance. Wherever you sit you'll be surrounded by the great ambiance. I enjoyed it tremendously.

I pondered if a 2-star rating would be appropriate but he was a lot nicer when I was leaving (he said a firm thanks) and extra stat was added to the whole rating. During my visit in Taos, I had a chance to go to a few different wine places and none of them did "flights". Whereas the other place was generous enough to let me taste more than a handful of their reds this place only gave me one of them (which I didn't care for.) I didn't want to be an entitled customer so I (out of politeness) refrained from asking me for a few more samples. I hence opted out on ordering a full glass for something I might not enjoy as all I could get were the descriptions of several other reds he said. I sure was hungry though so I ordered the mixed green salad and the rotating dessert (some sponge spice cake with date in it.) Both of them (when I ate them later in my hotel room) were okay to decent but I wasn't nowhere near "impressed". Will I go back here when I am in town again? Maybe but I can simply go to the other one I liked more or some vineyards that are 20-30 minutes from the center of Taos. It appears that some other people experienced the same questionable customer service experience (based on their reviews) when I felt "unwelcome" or even "being dismissed" I know that it wasn't personal. Yup, 3-star is good enough for this place for now.

We ordered flights of white and none of them were cold enough. I understand if they had been reds, but on a hot summer day, one just craves a cold glass of wine and/or bubbly. Once we were done tasting our wines and the food arrived, we had to ask a couple of times/people to remove the large glasses and apparatus they rested in from our table since there wasn't room for everything. The hummus and pita with hot honey and feta was pretty good, and our son loved his pasta dish from the kids menu, but that was the extent of the magic here. The paninis the rest of our party ordered were again, just ok. When I went to the restroom I was appalled. There was some really gross stuff sticking to the wall next to the toilet; I couldn't tell if it was barf or poop, but it really turned me off. Good thing we were already on our way out. The atmosphere is kind of a New Orleans vibe with a high ceiling and covered terrace upstairs with plants that you can see from the downstairs area. That was nice. The day before when I was walking around the Plaza, they had a big carafe of fruit-infused ice water outside the restaurant with plastic cups for people to help themselves to, and it was super refreshing. That was the best thing about this place.

After reading the many great reviews, we arrived approximately 15 min early prior to them opening as we were not sure how busy it would be on a Sunday afternoon. We arrived prior to the bartender but she showed up shortly after we did and took a seat at the bar!. Now, I genuinely do not like bar seating as I prefer a table, and they have one that sits 10 people but since there was two of us we did not want to hog up that much space. Our server was great and we started off with the brussel sprouts and elote corn ribs with red chile butter. Both were delicious and off the charts! I opted for the chicken sando and BFF ordered the steak frites. Both were delish and full of flavor! We also had a really good pinot cab. Our bill was a bit pricey for their HH menu (116.00 incl 5 glasses of cab total) but worth every penny! Ambience is totally cool, laid back, classy (but not pretentious) with a modern rustic flair on the inside. Will definitely be back if I am in Taos again!
