We absolutely loved our dinner here. The service is amazing and everyone is so genuinely friendly and clearly love their jobs. It was just such a fun atmosphere. The food was great and so were the cocktails. Overall, ACEQ was such a warm, rustic setting that feels uniquely Northern New Mexican. Make sure to make a reservation!

We loved our server, Amanda... and she made our entire experience so fun! ACEQ has cozy welcoming vibes that make you wanna stay a while. We had appetizers, entrees, drinks and a free dessert for my birthday. Everything was great but my cocktail was the highlight. If you're looking for something other than Mexican food, this is your spot!! Make a reservation, they get busy.

We have multiple people recommended this restaurant to us. Food is solid overall. Some meat was a bit dry. Service was really nice. Multiple servers were lovely. Ambiance is casual and great for gatherings.

My family and I had a really good visit at ACEQ. The were very accommodating to my 18 month old son, which is always helpful. We ordered the corn ribs as an appetizer and we all loved it. I ordered the chicken sandwich as my meal. I don't love it but did enjoy the fries. The rest of my family enjoyed their entrees, and I was slightly jealous because their food did look really good. Everyone enjoyed the cocktails they ordered. I was impressed by the beer list and ordered a local beer from Taos Mesa Brewing. Hopefully I get chance to visit again!

Came down from ski valley to have their Happy Hour. Ordered the corn ribs (generous portion, heavily sauced, bit too salty for my taste), steak frites (beef perfectly prepared, fries on side were doused w a pesto sauce that took away the crispness, not good), and the chicken sandwich (very tasty). Kyle, bartender and our server, was very friendly and courteous. Drinks creative and delish. Might return to try some other fare.

What a gem! We dined for the start of my partner's birthday week. The restaurant is cozy and gives you a nice sense of place. The service team is genuine, laid back, and still attentive. We had some well prepared cocktails: their house paper plane had mezcal in it, but I swapped in the more traditional rye. They also have a nice list of wines by the glass. The mushroom cakes and elote corn ribs were both unusual and delicious. We opted to order from the specials: the sablefish was perfectly cooked and a lighter option. The venison was more of an udon bowl than we were expecting, which is good because we love udon! Flavors were spot on. We also had the peanut butter pie for a first birthday dessert. We hope to return soon!

We had a wonderful evening at ACEQ. The atmosphere is inviting and cozy. The service was attentive and friendly. We had the Chicken Sando and Burnt Ends, both came out phenomenal. 5/5 stars

Not as wowed this time around. I feel like this place has turned way too bougie since even the last time I was here which was roughly two years ago. Came back again intending on having dinner with my boyfriend while on vacation. Now, mind you, this place was originally on the show 'Diners drive ins and Dives' and proudly boasted Guy Fieri's face or signature was somewhere on their wall. There's no trace of ever knowing that left in the place and I think they had it removed. It was packed beyond belief. Which, I guess is a good thing for business but it was a lot more chill and relaxed and less uptight than the night we went on. I felt hounded every few minutes to order something. Was even reminded a few times that the very last steak was available. While it was fine and excellent service, it was a bit uncomfortable. The menu has changed to an upscale fine dining selection. I didn't come here for trendy fads like Korean Corn ribs and bone marrow. Entrees were around $40 for soba noodles or scallops. $30 for a stuffed portobello. What about a burger? No wonder the steaks were running out for the night. Beer had gone up a bit in price. Which I could understand if it was an imported selection but most of everything was from the New Mexico area. Needless to say, I'm disappointed it changed from a cute owl themed dive where I can get a beer or cocktail and potentially maybe a fancy burger to a place where it would cost me like $150 to get a drink and meal because they want a Michelin star. Maybe I'm in the minority on this one but I didn't go on vacation to be met with literally what I left behind in New York City.

I don't leave 5 star reviews generally but ACEQ checked all the boxes for my husband & me. Beautiful food, delicious food, local ingredients, fantastic service, simple decor that reflected the southwest, an easy on the ears playlist, and a place that would be my go to if we lived in Taos. Just go and order away...I doubt you would find anything on the menu that would disappoint.

Really enjoyed this place. The food was creative, the cocktails are good, the pricing is appropriate, and the service was on point. I liked the atmosphere in the restaurant, the music is good to hear and adds a fun vibe to things. I would say this is a place for people who want a good meal, at a fair price, and want to get some of the Apres Ski vibes without heading all the way back to Taos. Would definitely come back.

We stopped by here for some drinks and appetizers after hearing a lot of good things about it. This place was very clean had a nice vibe and staff was really helpful. They suggested the Bison Bone Marrow appetizer and we also ordered the Bacon Wrapped Dates and the Jalapeno Bistro Fries. Everything was really good and were gone quickly. Really cool place. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is it is really pricy for the portion sizes and the Bistro Fries were a bit greasy. We would definitely stop in again.

Despite its cuteness however, it doesn't look like it's been visited by many based on the number of photos uploaded as of April 18, 2026. It might be its location as it's tucked in a quieter area from the center of Taos (it's still very much walkable from it though.) Well, I shall (thus) contribute to it. Great selection of whites and reds. Unfortunately however, none of the reds I got to sample didn't strikingly impress me and yet the Rioja was the best one out of the 7 displayed upfront. I hence went with a glass of it. Despite the beautiful weather on a Saturday at around 5:25pm, nobody was there. The live band for the night had just gotten to it where they were doing a little rehearsal. There was a good hour to the start of the show. The food menu also had a good selection of small bites from charcuterie board to hummus plate to meatballs to dumplings to flatbread etc. And the prices of them were mostly $10 to $15 (except the boards.) I had stopped at a different wine bar earlier where I had gotten me a few food for me to eat at the hotel so I didn't get anything at this place. Maybe next time. It's a great place for girls' night out, a date night or a solo dining as well. As I have mentioned already, live music every night. You can sit close to the band or a bit away from it near the entrance. Wherever you sit you'll be surrounded by the great ambiance. I enjoyed it tremendously.

I pondered if a 2-star rating would be appropriate but he was a lot nicer when I was leaving (he said a firm thanks) and extra stat was added to the whole rating. During my visit in Taos, I had a chance to go to a few different wine places and none of them did "flights". Whereas the other place was generous enough to let me taste more than a handful of their reds this place only gave me one of them (which I didn't care for.) I didn't want to be an entitled customer so I (out of politeness) refrained from asking me for a few more samples. I hence opted out on ordering a full glass for something I might not enjoy as all I could get were the descriptions of several other reds he said. I sure was hungry though so I ordered the mixed green salad and the rotating dessert (some sponge spice cake with date in it.) Both of them (when I ate them later in my hotel room) were okay to decent but I wasn't nowhere near "impressed". Will I go back here when I am in town again? Maybe but I can simply go to the other one I liked more or some vineyards that are 20-30 minutes from the center of Taos. It appears that some other people experienced the same questionable customer service experience (based on their reviews) when I felt "unwelcome" or even "being dismissed" I know that it wasn't personal. This liminal space of time provided us the opportunity to observe the evening hour turn to dusk, and notice light changing into shadow across the Sangre de Cristo mountains. Eventually, we were told a table by the window opened up -- which was most serendipitous for us. Despite what seemed to be a staffing issue, the bartender graciously saved the day with his genuine hospitality/attention, and even brought our drinks to the table. Our food appeared remarkably fast, and disappeared from our plates just as quickly. I highly recommend the butternut squash soup and pistachio gelato (so delicious). The only true down-point for me was the lighting inside, as it was far too bright for my liking (ambiance goes a long way). With regard to collective experience and 100% worthy of mentioning, Elevated Pour ended our evening in Angel Fire on a most memorable note -- the night sky became lit up with stars visible to the naked eye... pure magic.
