Charcuterie from Parcht
Krista M.

We were walking around Taos and wanted to grab a small bite to eat to kill some time. Parcht, a wine bar with light bites, was absolutely perfect for this. We ordered the build your own board - I can't pass up a charcuterie board - with two cheese and two meats. If I remember correctly we got a delicious duck pate, capicolla, brie, and another type of cheese. Olives, mustard, and cornichons (small pickles) were served with the charcuterie. I also ordered a glass of the Vietti Moscato as I prefer sweeter wines. Everything was great. I cannot remember the gentleman's name who served us as we sat at the bar but he was fantastic and gave us some great recommendations for Taos and Santa Fe. I would definitely drink (and dine) at Parcht again if I'm in the area!

Kale salad with beets + goat cheese. Ralph is a native Taosano (sp?) who has great recommendations, stories and, of course, wine knowledge!

Really enjoyed this wine bar. It was my first stop in town after driving up from Albuquerque and checking in to my hotel. I deliberated over some places I had bookmarked but wasn't hungry enough for a full dinner. I ordered a delicious balsamic kale salad with beets, goat cheese and Pepitas plus a charcuterie board with locally-baked bread, salmon mousse, duck rillette, salami and Gouda cheese, all carefully sourced (curated?) from providers around the U.S. and the world. I like Spanish wines so tried an Albariño and a Tempranillo. The salad with the balsamic dressing was the perfect thing to compliment all the filling bread and rich charcuterie choices. Ralph (see photo) is a native Taosian with family on both side that have been here for hundreds of years. He was not only knowledgeable about his food and wine but had many recommendations for other places in town and stories about the history of wine varietals. A very fun experience and a recommended first stop in town to get the lay of Taos! By the way, Parcht has the same ownership as The Gorge located on the second floor above Parcht. I could hear the roar of a busy restaurant as I walked by the stairs. Walking into Parcht was relatively quiet, with people sitting at tables. I sat at the bar where I got to soak up the good conversation and 411 about what to do in town.

This WAS my wife's favorite place during our trip to Taos. The price was very reasonable. The food was excellent. The service was the best. We purchased more food than we could eat. We ended up taking to-go boxes after dinner. We were staying a resort. We ate the leftovers for lunch the next day and still had enough to share with our dogs when we returned to Albuquerque. We had the build your own board, pick six; along with various sides. We also ordered the house-made red wine vinegar + sea salt chips. Surprisingly, these chips were far better the next day at lunch. They do have some beer. I had a porter and a red wine with dinner. I have absolutely no complaints about this restaurant (except it was a little difficult for me to find it). We will be back!

This place is one of my favorites in Taos! Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The cheese and charcuterie is amazing!! The wine is totally delicious as well. Really cool vibe, very inviting!

We had a long hot day hiking our way along the road to Taos so this cool basement bar was a refreshing find in that weird post-lunch, pre-happy hour time. Had a gorgeous glass of pinot noir (dang it. Can't remember which it was...) and we picked out some cheese from their long list of offerings. It was tough to pick only three for our cheese board (But don't worry, you're not limited to three. We were just not very hungry) but somehow we managed. And we cleaned the plate! Great wait staff, a tremendous bar selection of wine, beers, cheeses and charcuterie- a terrific spot for an afternoon break or a lingering happy hour. So happy we wandered in!

Everything about ParCht was perfect, except the barstool chairs, which are slightly too small to get comfy on (and thus, stay longer and spend more money). But other than that, PERFECT food, prices, selection, and service. This is how it's supposed to be done. I honestly never thought I would say that about any place in Taos. Well played, ParCht. You have a fan in me. I'll see you every time I am in town.

Despite its cuteness however, it doesn't look like it's been visited by many based on the number of photos uploaded as of April 18, 2026. It might be its location as it's tucked in a quieter area from the center of Taos (it's still very much walkable from it though.) Well, I shall (thus) contribute to it. Great selection of whites and reds. Unfortunately however, none of the reds I got to sample didn't strikingly impress me and yet the Rioja was the best one out of the 7 displayed upfront. I hence went with a glass of it. Despite the beautiful weather on a Saturday at around 5:25pm, nobody was there. The live band for the night had just gotten to it where they were doing a little rehearsal. There was a good hour to the start of the show. The food menu also had a good selection of small bites from charcuterie board to hummus plate to meatballs to dumplings to flatbread etc. And the prices of them were mostly $10 to $15 (except the boards.) I had stopped at a different wine bar earlier where I had gotten me a few food for me to eat at the hotel so I didn't get anything at this place. Maybe next time. It's a great place for girls' night out, a date night or a solo dining as well. As I have mentioned already, live music every night. You can sit close to the band or a bit away from it near the entrance. Wherever you sit you'll be surrounded by the great ambiance. I enjoyed it tremendously.

We secured the Chef's Tasting menu as the ultimate experience to spoil my mom for Mother's Day…read more.. The food (each course) was expertly crafted and full of wonderful flavors. Started with Wagyu/Angus burnt ends and savory red chile sauce. Tender and delicious. We then moved to the almost crusted Chilean Sea Bass with cilantro basmati rice and locally sourced microgreens and asparagus. Blew me away. The best course, IMO, was the duck confit with corn and hatch chile bread pudding. Accompanied by macerated blueberries and delicious red amaranth micro greens. Chef's kiss. The bouillabaisse was multilayered and seafood was perfectly prepared. To round out our evening, we indulged in a key lime pie that was refreshing and the perfect close to a wonderful meal. The chef and staff are so wonderful. They take care of you and can relate without any kind of pretension. Highly recommend

BFF and I were visiting the plaza and I wanted to eat linner somewhere different. As I researched restaurants prior to our trip, I found this gem and they have happy hour 7 days a week! After reading the many great reviews, we arrived approximately 15 min early prior to them opening as we were not sure how busy it would be on a Sunday afternoon. We arrived prior to the bartender but she showed up shortly after we did and took a seat at the bar!. Now, I genuinely do not like bar seating as I prefer a table, and they have one that sits 10 people but since there was two of us we did not want to hog up that much space. Our server was great and we started off with the brussel sprouts and elote corn ribs with red chile butter. Both were delicious and off the charts! I opted for the chicken sando and BFF ordered the steak frites. Both were delish and full of flavor! We also had a really good pinot cab. Our bill was a bit pricey for their HH menu (116.00 incl 5 glasses of cab total) but worth every penny! Ambience is totally cool, laid back, classy (but not pretentious) with a modern rustic flair on the inside. Will definitely be back if I am in Taos again!
