Checked out 1930 by Atria's! Such a cool spot- lots of different dining options- the library, the parlour, the secret room, the sitting room! They had their German menu going and it totally hit the spot! Great cocktails and amazing food! The Paprika Chicken was a standout so many good flavors! Elevated dining experience that I totally recommend!

Honeydew Me a Favor- husband loved it.

We decided to have our family time here this time. They have an upstairs, downstairs & a bar area. It's absolutely lovely & chic inside. Just as reviews mentioned- service isnt that great-- food comes out warm, drinks take about 15mins. The wait for the food for another 20 mins. And I understand, its extremellllllyyyy busy & probably short staffed. Nonetheless it does take away from the whole experience unfortunately-- because you feel like youre bothering the server by asking how long it'll take.. And that's all our complaint was. The hubby ordered the Honeydew Do Me A Favor-- absolutely amazing! And the Hand-Breaded Cod Sandwich-- fish was hot, he thoroughly enjoyed his s/w. I ordered from the "Restaurant Week" -- the Pot Roast nachos were bomb! but warm-ish some parts were cold. The Togarashi Seared Halibut for entree was tooooo tangy for my palate-- although the halibut had great flavor, a gorgeous sear & very moist inside. I wouldnt get this dish again though. Dessert we took home the Peach Bread Pudding-- very good & not too sweet which worked well with the scoop of icecream. I had the Silent Awe-- floral which I love & not too sweet. And the Beverly Rose-- mild tartness thank goodness. Both were great! Our 7yo had the Hot dog w/ shoe string fries- it came out at good time & the food was hot-- thankful for it. Did not use valet parking. Service: 2/5 Food: 4/5-- some of the food was warm & drinks were mad slow Ambiance: 5/5 so pretty!

Meh! Re-do produced nothing special. I miss the reincarnation from the original Nick Atria menu.

The new cocktail menu Spencer Warren has created is top notch. The new food dishes are delicious and I suggest giving the new vibe a chance!

Service was decent, food was slow to come out but in their defense there was a table of at least 8 ahead of us. They do not take reservations and we joked about there being a line. Well, when we showed up 10 minutes before opening, there was indeed a line. However, we went on Valentine's Day to one of the only GF places in the city, so that was to be expected. They were able to accommodate our party of seven no problem, and the staff were so friendly. Our server was amazing. One of our party members is hard to please, but our waiter was on top of it! We ordered a variety of apps for the table - wings, brussel sprouts, and fried provolone. All tasted fantastic. My husband and I agreed we would come just for the wings alone. Perfect smokey flavor. We got the hot buffalo garlic and they weren't super spicy. The marinara with the fried provolone was creamy and delicious. The Brussels were your standard side that every place has with the balsamic glaze. Not mushy at all and the garlic aioli was the best touch. We saw the food coming out and had to make room... the portions are huge! I could only finish half my burger and took the rest home. It was juicy, full of flavor, and easy to handle. Sometimes when you get a massive burger it ends up so sloppy and the toppings just slide off. Not with this! Perfectly stacked and ready to be devoured. The fries were a little greasy but still crispy. They earned my crisp seal of approval! The drinks were strong and everybody loved them. I got the blushing lady and it was sweet but not overly sweet and I could actually taste the spirits. Fantastic bar food options for people who are GF. We visited for the first time because someone in our group was GF and we would definitely go back!

We sat outside, which was first come first serve. It took awhile for anyone to approach us but I was in the restaurant industry for some time so I surely realize it happens for many reasons ! My friend ordered two speciality drinks which we were then told they didn't have the ingredients to make those cocktails...Okay - it happens no problem . We then ordered food from the brunch menu ( also out of the first item we asked for , there are only about 6-7 items on that limited menu). We asked if the regular menu would be available that day and we were told "no not on Sunday's." We proceeded to order and consume the hot honey chicken and waffles( good but not much of a hot honey taste and be aware it's BONE IN chicken), French toast with berries ( delicious ), and the shrimp and grits (made to perfection). I ordered the Texas medicine beverage , which was exquisite! (Tequila cocktail, Pictured). We also had the Petal and Pearl , gin and procecco cocktail ,not pictured but very good as well. After we ate, we moved to the bar to grab one last beverage. Again, it took quite some time for someone to approach us, which was odd because many of the girls were making eye contact but walking by us. Finally a gentleman with curly hair came over to take our orders - thank you. We noticed people at the bar were eating wings and food that was not listed on the brunch menu. When I asked how they ordered that, they said the regular menu starts at 3 on Sundays! We were extremely disappointed our original server did not tell us this nor was enlightened that the menu was released at a later time on Sundays. Concerning. It was nice to sit on a roof top in Pittsburgh on a sunny day. They have the atmosphere done with perfection. The food seemed delectable and the beverages done with beautiful presentations. I really hope to give this place another chance and revise my review !

They're located in Dormont, which makes this a walkable brewery for me (thanks to having friends and family in the area!). A friend and I did indeed walk over to catch up on a recent Friday. The place was surprisingly quiet - my friend mentioned that they get VERY busy during the summer, when people attend events across the road and want to buy beer to go with their market and/or food truck purchases. Speaking of food trucks, Hibachi Lou was parked out front on this particular Friday. So my friend and I got our hibachi orders at the truck out front; ordered our beer and/or cider from the bar; and took everything to a table in Back Alley's dining area to enjoy. While the place wasn't packed it wasn't empty, either; families and groups of friends were playing board games at every other table or so. So, what did I think about the drinks? I'm really glad Back Alley had Arsenal Cider on tap - I ordered a glass as my "sweet treat"/dessert after dinner. First though, I decided to try a beer. Back Alley, if you see this: I'm a BIG fan of sour beers and would order those if they're on the menu in the future! As of now though, no sour beers, so I ordered a "Snowed In" - Back Alley's spiced winter ale. It was a dark beer with a blend of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, ginger, hence the "spiced" moniker. While not something I normally seek out, I really enjoyed it and am glad I tried it! Altogether, it was a 10/10 experience - I'm so glad my friend and I came here for our Friday together. I'll be back!
