Automobile parking is challenging for all, but can be a nightmare for sports cars not designed for driving over dropped credit cards (Corvette and European GT drivers: you've been warned!) There's also a complimentary golf cart shuttle to assist those parking farther up hill. Take it from a salmon non-lover that the miso glazed salmon is wonderful (yes, my honorary Woodchuck Scout name was "Eats From Many Plates.") The charcuterie was also excellent and it makes a fine entree for a lighter meal. Dessert? Take it from EFMP that the Gooey Butter Cake dessert is a giant-sized sugar crush that crashes hard, so share and coffee-up for the giddy-up back over the hills. This was my first time at 1932 Reserve. I can't wait to go back. This was the best meal I've had in a very long time. I had the Brie salad and the Scallops with Broccolini and a Sweet Potato Hash. The service was excellent, attentive but not hovering. This is the off season for the Lake of the Ozarks, so it was really nice to find a restaurant that had a full menu and staff. Ok, this will be a mixed review. We have been looking forward to coming here since the summer of 2019, when we visited the area. I made reservations here a few days ago and it was a date night for my wife and I. It is a little hard to find if you are a first time patron and it is dark. They rent the upper floors out and the restaurant is down two flights of stairs around back. A tip for the women, don't wear heels. The staircase is made of grating and it made my wife's walk challenging. You can drive around if you know where to go, and this is where better signage would be helpful. The staff was very friendly and our table was waiting for us. We ordered drinks and chose to eat a lighter fare tonight with the charcuterie board and an order of the fries. Both were very good and made for a nice light meal for us. The unfortunate part of out dining experience was that a 60th birthday party was booked for the same time. It isn't really the fault of the establishment when the sheer rudeness of some people can ruin the enjoyment of everyone else in the restaurant. We asked,and were moved as far away as possible, but the openness if the space proved not to be far enough. We finally finished our drinks out on the deck and the manager came out to talk with us. They had asked the obnoxious party to tone it down, but drunk people never think they are the problem. We had an awesome meal here Saturday night. The staff was very accommodating in seating us next to a couple of heaters outside. This is the best lakeside dining in the area I say. I had cauliflower fritters and the pork chop. The fritters could have used a good sauce for dipping. We had to ask for salt. Porkchops were awesome. My wife had the sea bass and raved about it. I visited this restaurant for the first time this weekend. It was a great experience from start to end. Great patio seating. Cocktails were good. The ahi tuna appetizer was wonderful. Full of flavor and unlike any tuna I have had before. I would definitely order it again. We also had the sea bass and the filet. The sea bass was cooked perfectly with the right amount of crust. We also had a chance to speak with the chef quite and bit which was a fun bonus to learn of his background and the menu. We started off with the Salmon Croquettes - although they did not have texture as a typical Croquette, they were still very good. We then had the Seared Scallops dish and it was unbelievable! Every part of the dish elevated it - I said it then and I say it now, it is absolutely on my Top 3 list of the greatest thing I've ever eaten in my life. I LOVED this place. I came here to celebrate my half birthday and it was perfect. As soon as I arrived there was parking available across the street from the restaurant. I was in crutches and I am so glad there was a golf cart available to bring me down the hill to the restaurant area. The service was great, the food was good and the scenery was beautiful. We ordered the Mussels and Fries for the appetizer and I danced from joy the entire time we ate--it was THAT good. I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass and my only critique is that it could've had a bit more flavor, but the fish was perfectly flaky and crispy. My friend ordered the Pork Chop and it was so delicious! Reserve 1932 exceeded all expectations as the best fine dining experience we've had in over a year since the pandemic. No detail was overlooked from the ambient setting, music, drinks, service, and of course, the presentation and meal itself. As a vegetarian it is not always easy for me to find decadent options ...ones that delight and surprise the palate. The beet & goat cheese salad, tahini glazed carrots and cauliflower fritz w/ aioli we're out of this world--a league all their own. I was particularly impressed at how these simple ingredients were elevated and presented so thoughtfully without any pretense of trying to be a substitute for something else. My wife had the Chilean sea bass cooked to perfection with a spectacular flavor profile. Let's also not forget the decadent chocolate Cayane cake with pickled pear & blueberry crumble. Every bite, sublime. We have traveled much of the world and this country, and this experience belongs in our top 5 of ALL TIME. In fact, even though we were just passing through the Ozarks for a couple of days, we would be willing to visit again just to experience this decadent food once more. Stunning and memorable experience at 1932 Reserve. The food was incredible! Cauliflower for appetizer and Filet for entree was heavenly. I am a hollandaise sauce lover so I had to try with some on the side and let me tell you it was the BEST hollandaise sauce I've ever had. Husband and I got in town and decided to go somewhere close for dinner. Walked in to the modern / industrial building and we were immediately seated on a Friday night . Ordered a cocktail that was very yummy and an order of the muscles and fries to start. Wow! we were both licking our fingers and wishing for more fries or some bread to eat up the sauce that come with this dish . Then feeling satisfied we ordered dinner, shrimp and grits and the beef short rib. Both were excellent but we were so full we had to take the leftovers to go. So sadly no room for dessert . We also had the pleasure of meeting the executive chef and the manager who were both very kind and full of knowledge of the historical building. The chef even asked what he could do better in the future. This place has only been open since June so I hope more people discover it and that it stays busy as it is unlike anything else at the lake. Arrive by boat or car, but be ready for a walk down steps from parking. The restaurant is behind the historic lofts, and worth the walk. They have fantastic cocktails, small plates and full meals. Went here on a Wednesday night and didn't know what to expect. When we parked we noticed on the sign you could call for a ride from the parking lot. We're in good shape some we took the stairs. If you struggle at all with stairs, call for the ride. Nice bar, nice indoor dining and a really nice outdoor lakeside deck. We chose the deck and it was very nice. Menu and wine list were solid. Our server was great and knew the menu and history of the restaurant and was really on top of it. We had salad which were exceptional. I had the wedge and my wife the beat salad. We also had steaks (filets) and they were also great quality and well seasoned. Food, service and experience were great. It's a place we will defiantly go back to. We stopped here while visiting and it was our wedding anniversary. Loved the meal was very good! I have Chilean Sea bass and the husband had lobster and Mac and cheese and the hanger steak. The bass was cooked perfectly and the sauce was a perfect match. I will order this again. The husband liked the Mac very much but would have prefer a little more lobster.
