1933 has a lot of heart and the idea of a bourbon house is very exciting, however so-so service and lack of personal touch leaves a mark as much as bad food. 1933 House of Bourbon should consider tailoring their dining and drink experiences more.... No one even tried to tell us the history of the restaurant or sell us on their bourbon experiences. The food was decent but unoriginal, but the restaurant felt tight and the service was lacking. If I were HOB I'd really consider focusing more on the execution and the experience, otherwise they're not even at the level of Outback. read more

My boyfriend and I decided to try this place out for lunch. As we arrived we saw a sign that said to call a number to get a ride to the restaurant so we did. It was a bit confusing as we went down the stairs and the restaurant was there. Later on we found out the sign is for people who need assistance going down the stairs. ------------ I had such a pleasant experience here! We decided to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful view they had. Our server was Laine and he was just so nice on top of his beautiful singing voice that he showed off. We started with the cauliflower fritters and that was so delicious with the sauce they paired it with. I decided to order their burger for lunch which was so delicious! What stood out was the sweet jam that was something new to try. My bf ended up getting their fried chicken sandwich and that's as delicious as well. Average which is definitely not what we were looking for nor for the price point. Service was good not great. Food was below average for most items. Appetizers were nice but entrees were not for a variety of reasons. The garlic roasted half chicken literally was laying on a bed of sides that unfortunately heavily resembled vomit. Burger was so huge(tall) you couldn't eat it without disassembly. Even when you cut it up. Salad was good flavor but wilted and small. Will not go back. Quite a hot spot in Osage Beach! Friendly staff member was READY to help all the boats coming in to get docked. The large outside portion faces the lake with wonderful views and personal fans on the tables to keep the bugs away. Inside the air conditioning was *cool* and the atmosphere lively. Strong delicious drinks came quickly, and our service was friendly. They worked together to make sure our waters were always filled. The food was absolutely delicious and very creative. Try the duck confit- so many flavors to enjoy, and the portions were generous. My only complaint was the high volume level, but that goes along with such a popular place I guess. read more

Top notch! This is our second time to eat here. Delicious food, great service, tasty drinks and love the atmosphere. We had reservations and a group of 10. Our waitress took great care of us and everyone was happy and loved their food. We were disappointed that the shrimp and grits were sold out, but we had a late reservation. Nicest restaurant we found at Lake of the Ozarks. A pleasant experience started when we called to ask if our Golden Retriever could join us on their patio, and Emma, the lovely hostess said yes. I had on old fashioned before dinner while we waited on our table. It wasn't great but it was good. The group next to me had the smoked old fashioned and the presentation was on point. They seemed to really enjoy them. For dinner I went with the Chicken Hash. Different from what I was expecting, but it was really good. I just wish there was more of it. All of the portion sizes are on the smaller side, so definitely get some sides with it. The other three people in the group got the 6 oz filet and really enjoyed it. The meat temperatures were on point as was the flavoring. I also enjoyed a Whiskey Smash with dinner. If you are in the area on vaca and looking for a nice place to eat dinner, this might be worth your time to take a look at. This was my first time at 1932 Reserve. I can't wait to go back. This was the best meal I've had in a very long time. I had the Brie salad and the Scallops with Broccolini and a Sweet Potato Hash. The service was excellent, attentive but not hovering. This is the off season for the Lake of the Ozarks, so it was really nice to find a restaurant that had a full menu and staff. Float or drive, a visit is worth the time. Got boat? Many of the clientele arrive here by boat. No got boat? Automobile parking is challenging for all, but can be a nightmare for sports cars not designed for driving over dropped credit cards (Corvette and European GT drivers: you've been warned!) There's also a complimentary golf cart shuttle to assist those parking farther up hill. Take it from a salmon non-lover that the miso glazed salmon is wonderful (yes, my honorary Woodchuck Scout name was "Eats From Many Plates.") The charcuterie was also excellent and it makes a fine entree for a lighter meal. Dessert? Take it from EFMP that the Gooey Butter Cake dessert is a giant-sized sugar crush that crashes hard, so share and coffee-up for the giddy-up back over the hills. I enjoy the seafood here and they have phenomenal desserts. I enjoyed the ahi tuna bowl and the pictures salted caramel gooey cake. The management alongside the young bussing staff are very sweet. Ok, this will be a mixed review. We have been looking forward to coming here since the summer of 2019, when we visited the area. I made reservations here a few days ago and it was a date night for my wife and I. It is a little hard to find if you are a first time patron and it is dark. They rent the upper floors out and the restaurant is down two flights of stairs around back. A tip for the women, don't wear heels. The staircase is made of grating and it made my wife's walk challenging. You can drive around if you know where to go, and this is where better signage would be helpful. The staff was very friendly and our table was waiting for us. We ordered drinks and chose to eat a lighter fare tonight with the charcuterie board and an order of the fries. Both were very good and made for a nice light meal for us. The unfortunate part of out dining experience was that a 60th birthday party was booked for the same time. It isn't really the fault of the establishment when the sheer rudeness of some people can ruin the enjoyment of everyone else in the restaurant. We asked,and were moved as far away as possible, but the openness if the space proved not to be far enough. We finally finished our drinks out on the deck and the manager came out to talk with us. They had asked the obnoxious party to tone it down, but drunk people never think they are the problem. The vibe, staff, chef and food were absolutely top notch. Lane was a very accommodating and fun waiter. We also had a chance to speak with the chef quite and bit which was a fun bonus to learn of his background and the menu. We started off with the Salmon Croquettes - although they did not have texture as a typical Croquette, they were still very good. We then had the Seared Scallops dish and it was unbelievable! Every part of the dish elevated it - I said it then and I say it now, it is absolutely on my Top 3 list of the greatest thing I've ever eaten in my life. When then moved out on the patio around a cozy fire, had another cocktail (Great bourbon menu, by the way, and HIGHLY recommend the smoked old fashioned) along with a charcuterie board. We had an awesome meal here Saturday night. The staff was very accommodating in seating us next to a couple of heaters outside. This is the best lakeside dining in the area I say. I had cauliflower fritters and the pork chop. The fritters could have used a good sauce for dipping. We had to ask for salt. Porkchops were awesome. My wife had the sea bass and raved about it. I had the pork & it's the best pork I have ever had! The combo of pork, cheesy grits and the wine reduction was just perfect! My daughter had the sea bass and enjoyed it as well. My husband had a burger because he could get it cooked rare and said it was good too. We also ordered the beet salad- so good and unusual- cornbread- good & Brussels sprouts- excellent!!
