The dish I had was very tasty, the chicken was seasoned well and juicy yet crispy on the skin. The skin was my absolute favorite. The grits weren't the best though, kind of chunky and a little salty. I didn't have the cornbread, the people I was with did and they said it was delicious. They specified how spicy the green beans were, I guess it was unexpected. The service was great, they were very attentive to us. The tall dark gentlemen (I wish I could remember his name) was super nice and inviting. Drinks were refilled very often and the food came pretty quick. The ambiance was the best part, you're sitting right on the lake or you can sit inside where the air was blasting. I didn't write this review as soon as we left, so I can't remember exactly what was ordered, but my review is based more on the feeling that I had there and whenever I think back on my experience. This place seemed like something I would really like due to the cocktail menu that gets top mention and the ambiance of the place. It had a weird vibe for me though. Servers were nice enough, but the ones we came in contact with didn't match the menu prices and the "expensive" vibe that I thought the menu was trying to achieve. Another strange thing for me was the creativity of the dishes that included scallops with popcorn and pork loin with cheese whiz. Unclear what adding those items to the dishes did to enhance the dish or the experience of fine dining. I would like to think I'm an adventurous eater, but also one that sees the value in knowing who you are. Are you an expensive, fine dining Lake experience or are you a quirky, expensive novelty? All that being said, the food was fine, but this is not a place I feel the need to return to. read more

We stopped here after returning our boat and it was a little before they opened. The staff was very accommodating and prepped a nice table for our group. Lane was our waiter and he was great! Very funny and engaging. The service was also quick and spot on. The place itself was very nicely done and looked newer in the contemporary industrial style. It was very clean and well maintained. We ordered some cocktails and apps to pass the time. The Ahi Tuna app was very fresh tasting. We all commented on how good the cornbread was and the pickled green beans that came with it were pretty damn spicy. We also got the Greek dips which consisted of an obviously homemade spin dip with olives and a hummus. Both very very good. I would recommend this place but looking at the menu of you come for dinner, it's pricey in my humble opinion, but if the entrees are anywhere near as good as the apps, they're well worth it. read more

1933 has a lot of heart and the idea of a bourbon house is very exciting, however so-so service and lack of personal touch leaves a mark as much as bad food. 1933 House of Bourbon should consider tailoring their dining and drink experiences more.... No one even tried to tell us the history of the restaurant or sell us on their bourbon experiences. The food was decent but unoriginal, but the restaurant felt tight and the service was lacking. If I were HOB I'd really consider focusing more on the execution and the experience, otherwise they're not even at the level of Outback. read more

My boyfriend and I decided to try this place out for lunch. As we arrived we saw a sign that said to call a number to get a ride to the restaurant so we did. It was a bit confusing as we went down the stairs and the restaurant was there. Later on we found out the sign is for people who need assistance going down the stairs. ------------ I had such a pleasant experience here! We decided to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful view they had. Our server was Laine and he was just so nice on top of his beautiful singing voice that he showed off. We started with the cauliflower fritters and that was so delicious with the sauce they paired it with. I decided to order their burger for lunch which was so delicious! What stood out was the sweet jam that was something new to try. My bf ended up getting their fried chicken sandwich and that's as delicious as well. Appetizers were nice but entrees were not for a variety of reasons. The garlic roasted half chicken literally was laying on a bed of sides that unfortunately heavily resembled vomit. Burger was so huge(tall) you couldn't eat it without disassembly. Even when you cut it up. Salad was good flavor but wilted and small. Will not go back. Quite a hot spot in Osage Beach! Friendly staff member was READY to help all the boats coming in to get docked. The large outside portion faces the lake with wonderful views and personal fans on the tables to keep the bugs away. Inside the air conditioning was *cool* and the atmosphere lively. Strong delicious drinks came quickly, and our service was friendly. They worked together to make sure our waters were always filled. The food was absolutely delicious and very creative. Try the duck confit- so many flavors to enjoy, and the portions were generous. My only complaint was the high volume level, but that goes along with such a popular place I guess. read more

The drinks were amazing! My husband's old fashioned came out in a smoke box, he said it was one of the best he has had. I love a gimlet, which isn't always easy to find. Not only did they make one, but I believe it was the best I've ever had as well. For an entrée we tried the chicken and sweet potato gnocchi. The chicken had a wonderful cashew sauce. Am usually worry about chicken being dry when I order it out, but this was definitely not. Sweet potato gnocchi was a bit dense and under done, but still the flavors were great. We also had the corn bread which had some great accompaniments. We've tried a few places around the lake and this is definitely the best we've had. read more

Nicest restaurant we found at Lake of the Ozarks. A pleasant experience started when we called to ask if our Golden Retriever could join us on their patio, and Emma, the lovely hostess said yes. The design of the building definitely hits you first, and if you get the chance sit on the patio overlooking the lake.....great view!!! I had on old fashioned before dinner while we waited on our table. It wasn't great but it was good. The group next to me had the smoked old fashioned and the presentation was on point. They seemed to really enjoy them. For dinner I went with the Chicken Hash. Different from what I was expecting, but it was really good. I just wish there was more of it. All of the portion sizes are on the smaller side, so definitely get some sides with it. The other three people in the group got the 6 oz filet and really enjoyed it. The meat temperatures were on point as was the flavoring. I also enjoyed a Whiskey Smash with dinner. If you are in the area on vaca and looking for a nice place to eat dinner, this might be worth your time to take a look at.
