    Coffee was good

I wanted to take my wife to brunch and found this (relatively) new place. We had been to a Yelp event at the rooftop lounge at this hotel (Hilton Los Angeles - Arcadia) and enjoyed the event immensely. We also really liked the modern design and ambiance of the building too. We arrived at the restaurant but nobody was at the front desk. We rang the bell that was at the greeter's table but no one showed. We took a peek inside and there were people seated and eating. We waved at the waiter but he didn't see us. We rang the bell again, but still nothing. We walked out to the bar/lounge area to see if anyone was there who can help. Nope. We returned to the front and rang the bell again... And waited. After about 10 minutes of this, a lady finally came out through the drapes in the front and was able to seat us. The waiter was super nice and explained the menu items well. We ordered coffee... It was illy coffee which is my favorite brands. Very strong but smooth! Perfect! We ordered the Uova Rossos with eggs over medium and Mediterranean Steak Omelette with side salad instead of potatoes. WOW! The food was great! The Uova Rossos had a base sauce which was like a very good spaghetti sauce, but better. This was a little bit on the salty side, but was very good with toast. The runny eggs and a dollop of burrata cheese mixed with the tomato based sauce over toast was delectable. The Mediterranean Steak Omelette was... Mmmmm! So good! Seasoned perfectly but slightly overcooked for my taste. If the cubed steak pieces were cooked to about medium doneness, it would have been sooo much better. After we finished our food, we wanted to see what was available for dessert. The Limoncello Gelato just popped up on the menu! WOW! This was so refreshing! So good! I strongly recommend it! Even though it is a gelato, it had a texture more like a sorbet or sherbet. I have to come back for this for sure. I would definitely come back and try some of their other items!

Amazing pizza and service! They are an actual restaurant that opened in Arcadia Hilton.

19Seventy is named that because that's the year, their first restaurant opened in Whittier, CA. It's a Sicilian style Italian restaurant. It's located in the lobby of the Hilton hotel. The decor is clean modern and unpretentious. Tables are set apart far enough to feel spacious. There are many tables for four with some booth seating and a large one in the middle for bigger parties. The menu is fairly simple several pasta dishes, pizzas, protein, like steak even a Tomahawk and appetizers and salads. I don't drink, but they're cocktails menu seems pretty decent We ordered a few pasta dishes, and a couple of sides: Eden's Secret is a basic salad with greens and slices of fruit. It's not bad not a good value. 2.5/5 Polpo alla Siciliana, grilled octopus with pesto marinade served over a salad. Octopus was cooked perfectly, and the pesto flavor came through. Not bad. 3.5/5 Rigatoni alla Vodka was perhaps the best pasta dish out of three. It had a nice creamy flavor without being too heavy, and the pasta was al dente. 4/5 Frutti di Mare with served with a decent amount of seafood, but the squid in pasta was overcooked and lean towards the soft side. Though it was good, it did not stand out over other restaurants that serve this dish. 3.5/5 Baked rigatoni had the most overcooked pasta out of the three. There was no chew with the rigatoni pasta. The sauce was underwhelming. 2/5. We skipped dessert because for me, nothing really stood out as a must try . It seems their short rib and pappardelle it's very popular as I saw a few tables around us order it. It's pasta pasta in a cheese wheel. Serve with short rib. It looked good, but heavy. Based on our experience, the pappardelle has a good chance of being overcooked also. Our server was great. She explained and suggested popular dishes. And came by just enough times to check up on us, but a young man that might have been an assistant server seems new. We weren't even halfway done with the appetizer when all the entrées came out and crowded our table that we have to shift plates around. There's also something else he did that suggest he needs a bit more training. It's not a big deal and I would never make an issue with the restaurant, but just pointing it out. Pros: it's in Arcadia so we don't need to drive far, and being in the lobby of the Hilton, it's easy to find parking. Cons: the most important thing, the food. Unfortunately, it lacked flavor and the pasta were overcooked. Still, it's a nice space for a gathering, a date or a celebration if you're not picky about the food .

My family had an amazing time at this restaurant. We ordered their house specialty short rib pasta and it was so fun to watch it prepared table side. The short rib was so tender. My dad enjoyed the mushroom pizza so much. He also loved the Wagyu meatballs. I loved the burrata and Brussels. The bavette steak was so tender too. The ambience was nice and upscale. Service was friendly and welcoming. Their cocktails are so pretty with a cool presentation like a show ! I would recommend this place. Parking was free and easy.

I stopped in for a drink and had such a great experience that I can't wait to be back next time I'm in town. I sat at the bar and ordered a Kiwi Breeze. Mind you this is not my typical go to fruity, tropical drink. I'm so glad I tried it. The flavor combination was unique and balanced so well I would have never thought those could go together. II was absolutely delicious and the presentation was incredible. I was truly not expecting that and was not prepared to capture the special presentation on video. Next time, I'll be ready. I had just come from a party and had dinner there so I didn't try the food. I couldn't help but notice the beautiful dishes being served at a table nearby. The conversation about their meals left me feeling like i missed out. I do have a good idea of what I want to try next time I come in. The restaurant is beautiful, elegant and inviting. I hope to bring someone special next time to share this with. The staff ware all wonderful. I had a chance to interact with several people. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Since I was there by myself, I especially appreciated feeling welcomed and taken care of throughout my visit. For a quick stop and a cocktail, this place certainly left an impression. I can't wait to come back and try a few dishes in the near future. This time I'll be better prepared.

Drinks: Dady's Little Secret - Aged Rum/Cherry Liqueur/Honey/Blend of Secret Flavors Padrino - Bourbon/Reposado Tequila/a Touch of Hibiscus Chamomile Syrup/ Chocolate and Orange Bitters Entrees: Caesar salads Fettuccini Alfredo with salmon Rib Eye - Cipollini Onions, Sweet Potato Purée, Red Wine-Fennel Reduction Dessert: Tiramisu A little Italian romance tucked inside the new Hilton Arcadia Dinner at Ovalo felt equal parts sophisticated and effortlessly inviting -- modern Italian cuisine with a vibrant Sicilian flair that knows how to make an entrance. The Daddy's Little Secret was smooth, sweet, and dangerously charming while the Padrino arrived bold and moody in the best way The Caesar salads kept things classic, the fettuccini Alfredo with salmon was rich and comforting, and the rib eye with sweet potato purée and red wine-fennel reduction tasted like the main character of the evening. And of course... tiramisu, because some love stories deserve dessert They may still be settling in, but the foundation already feels special. If this is the beginning, Ovalo's future looks very bright.

What an amazing experience here at 19Seventy. At first it feels a bit weird since it's located inside the Hilton, but once you get past the hotel setting, the experience is honestly magnificent and totally worth it for a date night. We made a reservation on OpenTable, but it probably wasn't necessary since it was pretty empty. I think being inside a hotel makes it a little harder to find unless you already know about it. That said, I loved that when we arrived, they seated us at a nice corner table and had a cute "Happy Anniversary" sign waiting for us. Now onto the service, it was top notch. They checked on us often, gave great recommendations, and really made sure we had everything we needed. They even helped take a bunch of pictures for us, which I appreciated. Almost everything we ordered came with a little tableside presentation, which really elevated the whole experience. Here's what we tried: Melontinni - A top notch drink that was recommended to us. It came with a bubble on top that popped and released a really nice aroma. The flavors were great and I loved it. (5/5) Bellini - A perfect dessert drink for my wife, since she didn't want something too strong. It was like gelato, wine, and jam mixed together. Each part on its own wasn't anything special, but together it created a really balanced and delicious flavor. (5/5) Short Rib & Pappardelle - The main reason we came. It's hard to find pasta made in a Parmigiano Reggiano wheel, so this was our first time trying it with tableside service. It's definitely pricey at $80, but it comes with two portions and a unique experience. The cheese tasted super fresh and the dish felt really one of a kind. The flavors are bold and heavy, so it's not something I'd get all the time, but definitely worth trying at least once. The short rib was perfectly cooked and super tender. (4.5/5) Overall, it's an elevated dining experience tucked away in Arcadia. If you're looking for a dinner with fun tableside presentations and a more upscale vibe, this spot is definitely worth checking out. It is on the expensive side, so probably not an everyday place, but perfect for celebrating something special. We spent about $120 for two people and left pretty full since the Short Rib & Pappardelle was really filling. Parking - Free, right in front and plenty in the Hilton Parking structure.

The appetizer of Waygu Meatballs & toast was excellent!!! Our server was very attentive and kind. My lasagna was tasty and my coworker's chicken fettuccine Alfredo was very good as well. Located in the Hilton Arcadia. A very good restaurant and worth checking out. Also went for breakfast and added a picture this time. This is a nice place and you can actually have a conversation while enjoying a meal. Highly recommend!

This was our first time visiting this restaurant. The food is upscale Italian. The drinks were delicious and the food was great. Our server, Alma was very personable and attentive. It was a slow day so it was pretty quiet, but the ambiance was nice. We enjoyed our evening out.

19Seventy just opened this year along with the opening of this new Hilton. My experience here was good and I plan on returning. FOOD Parma and Arugula Napolitan Pizza - it's a good pizza. The dough, cheese, and everything else. Short rib & Pappardelle - this is prepared table-side. The show is great and the pasta tastes great. The portion size is pretty large. It's enough for 2-3 people. SERVICE Friendly and professional PARKING I like how there is self parking here and parking is free. The Le Meridian across the street forces you to do valet.

The new Italian restaurant located inside the Hilton is beautifully designed. I loved the spacious interior and colorful accents. Sadly, the food was just okay. We shared 3 appetizers and 3 entrees. 1. Pulpo alla Siciliana - grilled octopus with a pesto sauce, served on top of a bed of mixed greens. The salad was fresh and pesto was tasty, but the octopus was overdone and quite chewy. 2. Burrata & Brussels sprouts - I liked getting my veggies, but the sprouts were a little underdone and still kind of hard in the middle. 3. Tuna Crudo - I thought it would be like a tuna sashimi, but it was more like shaved slivers of tuna. It was a little fishy; would not recommend. 4. The perfect rhapsody - pizza with pepperoni, bacon, sausage. It was okay, no complaints. 5. Grilled bavette - skirt steak with chimichurri sauce, served on a bed of mixed greens and some squash. The steak was a little chewy, given it's not the best cut of steak. I've had much better skirt steaks. The salad and chimichurri were very similar to the octopus dish. 6. Wagyu burger - this was the biggest disappointment. The meat was super dry and hard. Even though we ordered it medium (as the chef recommended), it was definitely well done. We finished off the dinner with the pistachio ice cream affogato, which was delicious. 19Seventy has a nice atmosphere for catching up with friends and the service was attentive. I would not come back for the food.

Came for dinner as a group of 4. Thought it would be busy so we made reservations a week in advance but the whole restaurant was actually empty when we arrived. Excellent service and loved how they took the time to explain their menu. We ordered the following: * heirloom tomato bruschetta - very fresh and refreshing. Loved how the tomatoes were kind of tart * Eden's secret - refreshing salad that paired really well with the vinaigrette * short rib pappardelle - came with a little show where they tossed the pasta in the cheese wheel. The short rib sauce was a bit too salty for my liking * Parma with wild arugula pizza - loved the crust Pretty solid restaurant but prices are on the pricy side and also food does take a while to come out. The pizza actually came out first before our appetizer and salad which was different.

I am always welcomed like family at 19seventy at the Ovalo! This family owned restaurant is located inside the Hilton Arcadia and is across from the Santa Anita race track. Truly a locals favorite for an inviting social evening. The ambiance is appealing with full daytime light, many large tv's in the bar to watch sports games and a relaxing environment to enjoy happy hour cocktails or dinner in the evening. I love to visit 19seventy every chance I get. Great memories have been made during their special events. My first was a Caymus wine event which included a 5 course meal and a live music by Douglas Roegiers, to produce such a fun and romantic experience at sunset. Then again on a Friday night for Flamenco Fusion, a live music ensemble with Emilio Modern Gypsy. We have since been back for breakfast, lunch and dinner or just to visit the people who make it all happen. I was fortunate enough to meet the owners, who are the sweetest couple and good hearted people who emphasize hospitality and will stop at nothing to ensure the best experience for everyone who enters. Their priority on the customer experience shows their commitment and dedication to their expertise and passion. If your experience is anything less than extraordinary, they will try and make it right so give them a chance to. The thoughtful culinary menu offers a variety of Italian & Sicilian dishes to satisfy all tastebuds and dedicated to please. My favorites are Old World Frittata and Braised Short Rib Omelette for breakfast. The Perfect Rhapsody Pizza, Short Rib Pappardelle, Lasagna or Fettuccine Alfredo for lunch or dinner. I also recommend trying one of their many bruschettas. I can't wait try everything on the menu. There is truly something for everyone. The bar manager, Carlos, is friendly, hospitable and engaging every time with everyone. He loves to curate one of a kind, hand crafted cocktails and is very knowledgeable in what he does. The bar and restaurant offer a great selection of craft cocktails, spirits and wines to appeal to any palate. I highly recommend stopping in, tell them Kat sent you!

Parking is easy enough a block or so away, but finding a close spot is usually hit or miss on Myrtle due to how many restaurants are concentrated in a five block space. I went alone for a quick lunch. Service was exceptionally friendly and generally attentive, though it was a bit of a drag getting my bill settled as the lone server kept getting distracted by other tables and customers. Well, I got the State burger with no pickles and no thousand island sauce. I added bacon for $2.00 and swapped out the potato chips for fries for $1.50. It's happy hour all day until dinner, so the burger was discounted from $16 to $12, which is a good deal. The burger tasted great. The fries were good. The freshness of the lettuce and tomato on the burger actually stood out. I never realized how often you get slightly wilting lettuce at other places until I bit into this super fresh, crisp lettuce. I know that's a weird thing to mention, but it stood out. The only complaint I actually had was the amount of meat used in the burger patty. I think it's very small. They also sell a double smash burger, and I almost felt like this was a smash burger, cause the patty is so thin. It's not, but it's a disappointingly small amount of meat. Still, if you want drinks, it's a lovely looking bar. As I said, service is great. And I will come back for the burger. It's good and cheap, though I would gladly pay five dollars more for more meat. This time the burger was all I tried, but I can recommend. Give it a try for their all afternoon happy hour and the drinks.

We sat at a table by the front window facing the main drag. The area definitely has an old town feel with many restaurants and shops up and down the street. There is also a park right across the street. There is plenty of parking around the corner on the street and in a nearby lot. I started out with the Coughlin's Law cocktail (Aviation gin, house infused vanilla syrup, fresh lemon, egg white, lavender bitters, $16). It was a good light drink with light vanilla and lemon flavor. I always love a good foam top too. She started out with a Basil Paloma (Herradura silver tequila, muddled basil & grapefruit, fresh grapefruit juice, lime, simple syrup, seltzer, $15). It had good grapefruit and basil flavor, and was nicely balanced. We ordered the buffalo cauliflower appetizer ($14). The cauliflower was supposed to be grilled, but it seemed almost raw. The buffalo sauce definitely had a good kick. For my entrée, I had the Black Angus Basin Burger (manchego cheese, carmelized onions, arugula, special sauce, brioche bun, $19). The burger was excellent. The cheese, carmelized onions, and arugula was a great flavor combo. The fries were good, but I'd order them more crispy next time. She had the two taco plate with fish and potato tacos ($15). The taco shells were freshly fried, and it was a filling plate that she enjoyed. We had one more round of drinks and I had the Billionaire cocktail (Old Forrester 100 proof bourbon, lemon, house made grenadine, absinthe, $16). This was excellent. It was very balanced, and not boozy at all with a very light sweetness. Her second was the Smoke and Fire (Peloton de la Muerte mezcal, Ancho Reyes liqueur, muddled jalapeno & orange, fresh lime, agave, chili salt, $15). It was pretty well balanced with a medium smokiness. It definitely had a kick of heat on the finish. Our server Lakyn was friendly and provided good service. The menu prices are cash prices. There is an extra 3.5% surcharge if you pay with a credit card. The buffalo cauliflower appetizer was mostly a miss, but everything else was very good so I'm rounding up to five stars. They have a very good sized cocktail and food menu, as well as many beers on tap. They also have happy hour specials. We would definitely return if we were in the area again.

The service was attentive, the place played great music and the vibes were great. I can definitely see this place packed during happy hour or game time cause there's a nice bar feel. Located in the cute little heart of Downtown Monrovia, there is parking along the street or lots behind the businesses. The atmosphere in this area gives nice little walkable town. I ordered crisp pork belly tacos which was quite interesting. I never had crispy/crunchy meat in a taco before which was different haha. The flavor was good although the meat was quite chewy and hard. The chips and dips were good and the veggies and sauce on the tacos were great as well! I believe if I have chosen another protein, I would have enjoyed the tacos more. My friend ordered a salad and she really enjoyed her meal. I would definitely come back if I'm ever in the area :)

When I left, the tables got packed. I tried the platter for two, which came with a load of delicious rice, three proteins, roasted tomatoes and peppers. I enjoyed pairing it with their tahini and garlic sauces. The service and hospitality were amazing. Shout out to Ari, she is the best and really made my dining experience seamless. From recommendations, to check-ins, to bringing sauces for my table to try, it felt personable. The interior is perfect for families, dates, and catching up. It's casual but feels elevated. Overall, I had a great dining experience here and I'd recommend others to visit.

The food is delicious and the prices are appropriate given the portion sizes. Service was prompt and professional. Parking might be a challenge, though there are public lots within a block or two. We went on a Friday night and encountered heavy traffic from the local farmer's market/fair. The best item was the Beef kabob, 5 out of 5 stars. It was perfectly cooked, a very simply salt and pepper seasoning, juicy and simply divine! We got the kids meal, which came with only 4 pieces, and I'd be interested to return for the full adult portion. Also a 5-star experience was the Fried cauliflower appetizer. It had just the right amount of crispiness, without any blackening, and the garlic/parsley/lemon juice combo worked well. The juice was sucked into all the crevices, and overall it was light. I think I could have eaten two portions myself and called it a satisfying meal. I did dip in some tzatziki, which worked great too! Lastly the Chicken shawarma was a 4-star dish. Still delicious and I'd get it again, but it was slightly salty from the marinade and added sauce. I was expecting this to be wrapped up, but it was more an open-face naan with the chicken covering the top. Rice pilaf was savory, I'd rather not know just how many calories are included, the rice was still moist even after reheating the next day.
