My family had an amazing time at this restaurant. We ordered their house specialty short rib pasta and it was so fun to watch it prepared table side. The short rib was so tender. My dad enjoyed the mushroom pizza so much. He also loved the Wagyu meatballs. I loved the burrata and Brussels. The bavette steak was so tender too. The ambience was nice and upscale. Service was friendly and welcoming. Their cocktails are so pretty with a cool presentation like a show ! I would recommend this place. Parking was free and easy.

19Seventy is named that because that's the year, their first restaurant opened in Whittier, CA. It's a Sicilian style Italian restaurant. It's located in the lobby of the Hilton hotel. The decor is clean modern and unpretentious. Tables are set apart far enough to feel spacious. There are many tables for four with some booth seating and a large one in the middle for bigger parties. The menu is fairly simple several pasta dishes, pizzas, protein, like steak even a Tomahawk and appetizers and salads. I don't drink, but they're cocktails menu seems pretty decent We ordered a few pasta dishes, and a couple of sides: Eden's Secret is a basic salad with greens and slices of fruit. It's not bad not a good value. 2.5/5 Polpo alla Siciliana, grilled octopus with pesto marinade served over a salad. Octopus was cooked perfectly, and the pesto flavor came through. Not bad. 3.5/5 Rigatoni alla Vodka was perhaps the best pasta dish out of three. It had a nice creamy flavor without being too heavy, and the pasta was al dente. 4/5 Frutti di Mare with served with a decent amount of seafood, but the squid in pasta was overcooked and lean towards the soft side. Though it was good, it did not stand out over other restaurants that serve this dish. 3.5/5 Baked rigatoni had the most overcooked pasta out of the three. There was no chew with the rigatoni pasta. The sauce was underwhelming. 2/5. We skipped dessert because for me, nothing really stood out as a must try . It seems their short rib and pappardelle it's very popular as I saw a few tables around us order it. It's pasta pasta in a cheese wheel. Serve with short rib. It looked good, but heavy. Based on our experience, the pappardelle has a good chance of being overcooked also. Our server was great. She explained and suggested popular dishes. And came by just enough times to check up on us, but a young man that might have been an assistant server seems new. We weren't even halfway done with the appetizer when all the entrées came out and crowded our table that we have to shift plates around. There's also something else he did that suggest he needs a bit more training. It's not a big deal and I would never make an issue with the restaurant, but just pointing it out. Pros: it's in Arcadia so we don't need to drive far, and being in the lobby of the Hilton, it's easy to find parking. Cons: the most important thing, the food. Unfortunately, it lacked flavor and the pasta were overcooked. Still, it's a nice space for a gathering, a date or a celebration if you're not picky about the food .

This was our first time visiting this restaurant. The food is upscale Italian. The drinks were delicious and the food was great. Our server, Alma was very personable and attentive. It was a slow day so it was pretty quiet, but the ambiance was nice. We enjoyed our evening out.

Drinks: Dady's Little Secret - Aged Rum/Cherry Liqueur/Honey/Blend of Secret Flavors Padrino - Bourbon/Reposado Tequila/a Touch of Hibiscus Chamomile Syrup/ Chocolate and Orange Bitters Entrees: Caesar salads Fettuccini Alfredo with salmon Rib Eye - Cipollini Onions, Sweet Potato Purée, Red Wine-Fennel Reduction Dessert: Tiramisu A little Italian romance tucked inside the new Hilton Arcadia Dinner at Ovalo felt equal parts sophisticated and effortlessly inviting -- modern Italian cuisine with a vibrant Sicilian flair that knows how to make an entrance. The Daddy's Little Secret was smooth, sweet, and dangerously charming while the Padrino arrived bold and moody in the best way The Caesar salads kept things classic, the fettuccini Alfredo with salmon was rich and comforting, and the rib eye with sweet potato purée and red wine-fennel reduction tasted like the main character of the evening. And of course... tiramisu, because some love stories deserve dessert They may still be settling in, but the foundation already feels special. If this is the beginning, Ovalo's future looks very bright.

The new Italian restaurant located inside the Hilton is beautifully designed. I loved the spacious interior and colorful accents. Sadly, the food was just okay. We shared 3 appetizers and 3 entrees. 1. Pulpo alla Siciliana - grilled octopus with a pesto sauce, served on top of a bed of mixed greens. The salad was fresh and pesto was tasty, but the octopus was overdone and quite chewy. 2. Burrata & Brussels sprouts - I liked getting my veggies, but the sprouts were a little underdone and still kind of hard in the middle. 3. Tuna Crudo - I thought it would be like a tuna sashimi, but it was more like shaved slivers of tuna. It was a little fishy; would not recommend. 4. The perfect rhapsody - pizza with pepperoni, bacon, sausage. It was okay, no complaints. 5. Grilled bavette - skirt steak with chimichurri sauce, served on a bed of mixed greens and some squash. The steak was a little chewy, given it's not the best cut of steak. I've had much better skirt steaks. The salad and chimichurri were very similar to the octopus dish. 6. Wagyu burger - this was the biggest disappointment. The meat was super dry and hard. Even though we ordered it medium (as the chef recommended), it was definitely well done. We finished off the dinner with the pistachio ice cream affogato, which was delicious. 19Seventy has a nice atmosphere for catching up with friends and the service was attentive. I would not come back for the food.

What an amazing experience here at 19Seventy. At first it feels a bit weird since it's located inside the Hilton, but once you get past the hotel setting, the experience is honestly magnificent and totally worth it for a date night. We made a reservation on OpenTable, but it probably wasn't necessary since it was pretty empty. I think being inside a hotel makes it a little harder to find unless you already know about it. That said, I loved that when we arrived, they seated us at a nice corner table and had a cute "Happy Anniversary" sign waiting for us. Now onto the service, it was top notch. They checked on us often, gave great recommendations, and really made sure we had everything we needed. They even helped take a bunch of pictures for us, which I appreciated. Almost everything we ordered came with a little tableside presentation, which really elevated the whole experience. Here's what we tried: Melontinni - A top notch drink that was recommended to us. It came with a bubble on top that popped and released a really nice aroma. The flavors were great and I loved it. (5/5) Bellini - A perfect dessert drink for my wife, since she didn't want something too strong. It was like gelato, wine, and jam mixed together. Each part on its own wasn't anything special, but together it created a really balanced and delicious flavor. (5/5) Short Rib & Pappardelle - The main reason we came. It's hard to find pasta made in a Parmigiano Reggiano wheel, so this was our first time trying it with tableside service. It's definitely pricey at $80, but it comes with two portions and a unique experience. The cheese tasted super fresh and the dish felt really one of a kind. The flavors are bold and heavy, so it's not something I'd get all the time, but definitely worth trying at least once. The short rib was perfectly cooked and super tender. (4.5/5) Overall, it's an elevated dining experience tucked away in Arcadia. If you're looking for a dinner with fun tableside presentations and a more upscale vibe, this spot is definitely worth checking out. It is on the expensive side, so probably not an everyday place, but perfect for celebrating something special. We spent about $120 for two people and left pretty full since the Short Rib & Pappardelle was really filling. Parking - Free, right in front and plenty in the Hilton Parking structure.

19Seventy just opened this year along with the opening of this new Hilton. My experience here was good and I plan on returning. FOOD Parma and Arugula Napolitan Pizza - it's a good pizza. The dough, cheese, and everything else. Short rib & Pappardelle - this is prepared table-side. The show is great and the pasta tastes great. The portion size is pretty large. It's enough for 2-3 people. SERVICE Friendly and professional PARKING I like how there is self parking here and parking is free. The Le Meridian across the street forces you to do valet.

Came for dinner as a group of 4. Thought it would be busy so we made reservations a week in advance but the whole restaurant was actually empty when we arrived. Excellent service and loved how they took the time to explain their menu. We ordered the following: * heirloom tomato bruschetta - very fresh and refreshing. Loved how the tomatoes were kind of tart * Eden's secret - refreshing salad that paired really well with the vinaigrette * short rib pappardelle - came with a little show where they tossed the pasta in the cheese wheel. The short rib sauce was a bit too salty for my liking * Parma with wild arugula pizza - loved the crust Pretty solid restaurant but prices are on the pricy side and also food does take a while to come out. The pizza actually came out first before our appetizer and salad which was different.

19seventy at Ovolo recently opened inside the new Hilton Arcadia, and after about a month in operation, they are already showing strong promise. With a highly successful sister location in Whittier, it is very clear the goal here is to replicate that success while introducing hotel guests to elevated Italian cuisine with a distinct Sicilian influence. This partnership works beautifully. 19seventy at Ovolo not only anchors the hotel's main dining experience but also services the rooftop bar and seating areas with thoughtfully crafted drinks and bites, which adds to the depth of the overall hotel vibe. Having stayed at the hotel for a full week, I have had the opportunity to explore their menu across breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Breakfast was consistently satisfying and well-executed every morning. The Il Americano is a classic, comforting start to the day: eggs cooked your way, a choice of bacon or sausage, and your choice of pancakes or toast. The steak and eggs delivers exactly what you want: a protein-packed grilled steak paired with eggs and toast, hearty without being a heavy portion. The kitchen was also very accommodating with substitutions for dietary restrictions, which was much appreciated. One standout surprise was ordering the Charcuterie Pizza with me adding eggs added on top--my first "breakfast pizza," and surprisingly delicious. Lunch continued to impress. A Wagyu burger was custom-ordered without the bun or fries, and the kitchen delivered without hesitation. The Chicken Marsala pasta was especially memorable and was rich, deeply flavorful, with tender pasta coated in a wine sauce infused with garlic and onions that truly melted in my mouth. Service deserves special mention. Jorge, our server, took excellent care of us throughout our visits and offered great local recommendations that genuinely enhanced our stay. During our visit, the team was still finalizing signage, fine-tuning the menu, and completing staff training. Even so, the experience was already strong and it is easy to imagine how exceptional this place will be once everything is fully dialed in. Highly recommended, whether you're staying at the hotel or simply looking for quality Italian food with a Sicilian twist in the Arcadia area.

This might be my new go to spot for when I want to have a cozy night out. Not only is the food amazing, but the staff are so welcoming (shout out Britany and Carlos). My friend and I got the Aperol Spritz (yum), cheesecake (blew us away, it was so soft and warm, the spoon just melted into it), and affogato (hot espresso was delicious). The prices were pretty good for a brand new location. The table next to us got a pasta which smelled so good we asked them what it was. We already have plans to be back to try out their food.

    Lemon Gelato

My husband and I had the pleasure of attending the wine and dinner pairing at 19Seventy inside the Hilton in Arcadia, and it was truly an exceptional experience from start to finish. The evening featured Caymus wines, and every single course was thoughtfully paired, each dish complemented the wine perfectly. You can really tell the level of care and intention that went into the chef's menu and it was honestly something out of this world. The ambiance made the night even more special. They had live performances with a singer doing Frank Sinatra classics, which added such an elegant and intimate vibe to the entire experience. I was so caught up in enjoying everything that I only managed to take one photo--the homemade lemon gelato dessert, but it perfectly captured the experience. The presentation was outstanding, and the dessert itself was light, refreshing, and the perfect ending to the meal. If you ever get the chance to attend one of their wine pairing dinners, don't hesitate. 19Seventy truly knows how to create a memorable dining experience.

We're able to bring in some decorations to the private dining room. And they helped us set it up. Much appreciated

It proved more difficult when dealing with the owner Scott. I'll start by saying the end result was us rescheduling at the same rate that we booked & our event went well, however it wasn't without hiccups. When rescheduling, we were specifically instructed by Scott to cancel our booking in Peerspace & rebook the new date. That's when issues started. Before cancelling I mentioned how Peerspace won't refund our full amount & Scott replied that whatever isn't refunded will be credited toward the new date. That didn't happen without us constantly reaching out via text, email, & Peerspace. When you request a date on Peerspace it's pending review/approval from Blush, however it charges you immediately. Since we opted for the payment plan that required about half down & remainder later, we were waiting on our refund to book the new date. It never came. When we were finally able to have a phone call with Scott, I couldn't get one word in the entire time he was mansplaining the world of business. He was very patronizing & I swallowed my pride because we just wanted a resolve & to not lose the deposit. I asked very clearly whether he was going to uphold our agreement. He did, but under the condition that we pay the remainder of our balance upfront in good faith to them. We did & that was that. Thereafter, it was back & forth whether Chris would still be working our event which Scott said he was. Chris was the saving grace of Blush in our opinion. Customer service & how you treat people is king, so it put our hearts at ease. But not for long, since it was changed later to Jin. Getting Jin to respond was difficult. We requested a final walk through with our coordinator about a month before our event. Jin told us he wasn't feeling well & wasn't present for most of the walk through. So we asked questions via email instead. I specifically mentioned a clean facility is important to us. The place just wasn't as polished as we first saw it. He was responsive only after I'd send text follow ups. The week of, not at all. I was waiting on confirmation about our drink selection which I never got & we just hoped it would all work out the day of. Day of our coordinator arrived first. The bathrooms were clean but the bar, cocktail tables, mirror hallway, & front door were full of fingerprints and sticky as if not cleaned from a previous event. We were told there would be 2 staff & that they'd be able to help us move cocktail tables. We weren't aware one of those people would be Jin & he wasn't helpful at all. He completely ignored our coordinator & aunt, but jumped to help our DJ with the sound system. We can only conclude it's because our DJ is a man & as a same sex female couple that leaves such a bad taste in our mouths. Our coordinator & aunt ended up cleaning everything with the one rag & spray bottle he gave after we repeated asked. Coordinator, wife, son, & I moved the heavy tables/ottomans. The drinks didn't taste like our selections. But the worst part was that he started charging our guests upon arrival. My wife & I stepped away to change our clothes. We were there 1.5hrs before start time & Jin never approached us or our coordinator for our card. He also had our itinerary ahead of time and met our coordinator. FYI on top of booking fees, you're also required to use their bar service for ALL drinks alcohol/nonalcohol which is included info on Peerspace. We agreed we'd cover the required minimum of $2500 & once we reached that amount it would turn into a cash bar. Our guests approached us confused about the bar so my wife personally went to Jin & asked why people were being charged, to which he responded "I couldn't find you guys." They immediately include their tip, which we weren't aware of, so drinks totaled to about $2100 w/ the remainder being tax/tip. They continuously ran out of cups & had zero cups for the water dispensers. We were refilling used water bottles to give to the kids. My aunt & cousin were busing tables. Bartenders didn't care to stay quiet or hold drink orders during vows. Every video we have of our vows is them shaking drinks & slamming glassware. There were good things too, kinda. It wasn't communicated to us that the front bathroom was for staff only & we had a outfit change planned, so after first saying no, Jin ended up letting my wife & I use the front bathroom. Also him assisting our DJ resulted in the music going well. It's sadly overshadowed by all the other things that needed improvement. It comes down to a lack of customer service & professional decorum, because the venue itself is beautiful. We gave a final 3 STARS because everything came together. Those missing components are just so vital. A work day for them is literally someone else's most important day that they're choosing and paying to celebrate at Blush.

One drink came with bubbles, another arrived flaming, and one to a soundtrack of thunder and lightning. It's part cocktail bar, part performance, and the staff is committed to the bit. They have two LA locations, which helps if one is booked.

The menu has a great mix of dishes and variety of excellent appetizers to select from. I had the French Onion soup with braised short rib as my appetizer...sooooo good. This is a must have. For dinner I had the Fish and Chips...a great amount of fries came with the fish. This place is always busy and packed. I'd eat here again. I recommend this place.

The staff was very accommodating in making sure the action was visible on a couple of their many large TV screens. It was a Monday afternoon so there was lots of open seating. We arrived during Happy Hour and were pleased to find a nice offering of a variety of items on the food menu. Tried all of the taco variations and enjoyed them all. We found the assortment of cocktail options inviting and ordered several rounds of drinks. We were not disappointed by any of the different choices. My only wish being that some of these delicious cocktails could be found on the Happy Hour menu. With any luck they will be the next time I visit, with or without traveling companions.

Yesterday, we found ourselves craving the spicy lebneh and decided to give it another try. I'm so glad we did because we were lucky enough to have Ari as our server. Ari is truly extraordinary. She is warm, vibrant, genuinely engaging, and has that rare ability to make every guest feel welcomed and cared for. Her hospitality is effortless, authentic, and unforgettable. There honestly aren't enough good words to describe how wonderful she is. She completely changed our experience and reminded us why we loved coming here in the first place. The food was just as delicious as we remembered, but it was Ari who made the visit exceptional. She's an absolute gem, and we'll definitely be back because of her.

The Diplomat is so much more than a whiskey bar--it's serving some of the freshest, cleanest, and most flavorful Mediterranean cuisine I've had in a long time. You can truly taste the difference. Everything is made fresh from scratch with so much care and attention to detail. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared, and the quality shines through in every bite. The full bar has an excellent selection, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the outdoor patio is the perfect place to relax--especially since it's dog-friendly! Being right by the Monrovia Farmers Market makes it an even better spot to grab a meal or drinks before or after strolling through the market. If you're looking for amazing food, handcrafted drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere, The Diplomat is absolutely worth the visit. I'll definitely be back!

From the moment I walked in, it didn't quite feel like a typical Korean restaurant--but in the best way. The atmosphere was incredibly welcoming, and the service was outstanding. I had made a reservation for a table, but I ended up sitting at the bar--and I'm so glad I did. The people around me were so friendly, and the bartender and waitstaff went above and beyond. The food was delicious--especially the boneless wings. They were garlicky, just a bit spicy, with a perfect crispy outside and tender inside. Honestly, it wasn't just the food--it was the whole experience. I can't wait to go back!

Food: 5/5 Their food features really yummy Korean bar foods like wings, ramen, fries, etc. that pair really nicely with their drinks. I really liked their zucchini fries and their rose tteokbokki. Their wings are not as flavorful as we'd like but it was decent none the less. Their drinks are also really good, but they are on the sweeter side. I really liked their specialty cocktails because they put their own little spin on traditional well drinks. Service: 5/5 There is a ton of seating here. We got seated pretty quickly when we got in. Our server was super chill and described all the drinks to us. Our food all came out pretty quickly. Ambiance: 5/5 This place and downtown Monrovia in general is a really chill spot to be at. They have plenty of parking. There is plenty of seating and a really cool bar right when you walk in. I will definitely come back to this place to grab cheap drinks with friends.
