This spot has some happy hour deals and had some live sports games playing when I was there, though the food here is alright. -Crisp Pork Belly Taco: Pork belly had okay flavor. -Carnitas Taco: Carnitas meat tasted okay. I wasn't a fan of the tortilla on this or the carnitas taco. I think the street tacos from a local taco truck would probably taste better and be more affordable than these carnitas taco/crisp pork belly tacos from here. -Mini Basin Burger: It's a decent quality burger. Comes with fries. -Onion Rings: Excellent crispiness on the outside.

Pork belly tacos with handmade tortillas. Mmmmm

Excellent food and service! Very clean and friendly. Would definitely be back! We happened to be there during happy hour. Very reasonably priced and hearty dishes for a happy hour!

Chicken tacos, shrimp pasta, grilled cheese and tomato soup, chicken wings, and a pretzel

My cousin and I decided to meet up for dinner here and we happen to know the chef. It was chill on a Tuesday night. We ordered drinks first and then decided on the chicken tacos, shrimp pasta, grilled cheese with tomato soup, chicken wings, and pretzel. The chicken wings are lightly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside with the right amount of heat. The pretzel was super soft and paired well with the cheese dip. The grilled cheese went well dipped in the tomato soup. I actually finished it which I did not think I would. My mom mentioned the tacos were spicy for her because of the salsa. My cousin enjoyed her shrimp pasta and was taking the remainder for he partner. Service was great and they gave us time to look at the menu and even offered suggestions for drinks as well. I have come here plenty of times and have enjoyed the food with family and friends alike.

Basin in Monrovia on Myrtle is such a great spot to relax and enjoy some really tasty bites. The pretzel with cheese and mustard was a standout--warm, soft, and super satisfying. We also tried the guacamole with chips and salsa, and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The service was friendly, attentive, and made us feel really welcome from the start. Staff checked in at just the right times and kept everything running smoothly, which added a lot to the overall experience. One of the best parts was sitting outside and enjoying the nice breeze. It made the whole experience even better. Perfect place to unwind, snack, and enjoy the atmosphere. Definitely worth stopping by if you're in the area!

We came here for Valentine's Day and overall had a really nice experience. The atmosphere was so cute and cozy, the lights made from mason jars were adorable and something I've never seen before. It definitely gave the place a warm, unique vibe that made the night feel special. My partner ordered the chicken sandwich and I had the fish taco plate. The food was good overall, but I personally didn't love the salsa that came with the chips. It tasted more on the sour side and didn't really have that classic salsa flavor I was expecting. It wasn't bad, just different. The only downside was that it took quite a while for us to get our order taken, which was a little unfortunate. Other than that, we enjoyed our time and the atmosphere really made up for it.

This is our first time at basin 141. We showed up just in time to take advantage of the last hour of happy hour. Everything we ordered was fresh and hot and tasted great. We will definitely be coming back. This is what we ordered: One potato taco One carnitas taco Two orders of the sliders Chicharrones A side salad And garlic parm chicken wings Our server's name was Devin. She had a great personality and she was very accommodating. The gentleman dropping off our food was also great. I wish I would have gotten his name. We sat at one of the high tables close to the entrance, at first I thought it was a little inconvenient because I thought people were going to be bumping into us as they are entering the restaurant . Once seated, That didn't happen at all. We actually were very comfortable. I like the soft lighting inside. They also have a great mix of music playing. I enjoyed everything about this place.

My daughter ordered the kids meal sliders. Not pictured is the garnishes on the side that they separated.

The food was really tasty. We came on a Saturday around lunch time and they had the brunch menu. The perk with a big group is that you see a variety of food. My wife and I decided to share the breakfast burrito and the DayBreak sandwich. Food review in the pics. Just an FYI, of you don't like your food spicy, ask for the sauce on the side. They will be more then willing up accommodate. Our server, Devon(pronounced Devin), was awesome. So helpful in accommodating our various requests from hot water with lemon for my mom to just a plain sliders burger for my daughter with all the garnishes on the side. She also kept my bottomless mimosas coming. Thanks Devon!

It's a nice bar and in a cool area (downtown Monrovia) but food is just okay. I'm sure it's the bar that people like but since I don't drink, it's the food and service I look at. Fries were very average - almost kinda stale. The fish taco was ok. It had the right flavor but it's missing portion size and condiments. Tortilla chips were stale and salsa tasted like it came from a jar. Steak was cooked well and I enjoyed the chimichurri sauce. Only good dish. The service was below average. The server taking the order took our orders one by one but she awkwardly stood at the end of the table where it's hard to hear here from the end. When I had a question about the menu, I didn't want to shout over it over but she just stood there until I motioned her over. And she seemed reluctant to come over.

I love this place. Great chill gastropub with a decent variety of food options to choose from. Tacos, salads, burgers, sandwiches, and even wrap. I do love that they have some vegetarian options as well (sofrito options available for a few dishes). On my most recent visit I ordered the garlic bread grilled cheese with consisted of cheddar and havarti, I had the option to add avocado for $3 and/or short rib at $4.75.. I added just avocado. The grilled cheese comes with tomato soup bisque with a nice roasty taste to it. I really enjoyed that my grilled cheese wasnt overly oily and that it was toasted perfectly. There is indoor and outdoor seating available. We didnt have any issue finding free parking and walking a few blocks over to the restaurant. Happy Hour: Monday thru Thursday 3pm-6pm Friday thru Sunday 3pm-5pm

I went during happy hour and had a great experience. The prices were reasonable, and there were plenty of options to choose from. We ordered several different tacos, and all of them were very good. The service was excellent, the restaurant is spacious, the environment is pleasant, and parking was easy, which is a big plus. Definitely a spot I'd come back to!

Came here to have some dinner while exploring the different shops. I was craving a grilled cheese and tomato soup so decided to try this place out. The service is excellent here. Staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant is clean and plenty of seating. Definitely a laid back vibe. The tomato soup flavor was missing something. Maybe basil because while it was good, it wasn't great. Now the grilled cheese was amazing. I added braised short rib which really took this up a notch. It was soo good! Definitely will be back to try a burger next.

We were in the area after a hike and found this place. Cute location. We were warmly greeted and seated right away. It was the weekend and we orders from their brunch menu. My husband ordered the biscuits and gravy... good portion size. The gravy was full flavor and sooo good and not salty at all. The biscuits were soft and dense enough to hold up to all the gravy. The brioche French toast was heavenly! everything we ordered was amazing and the service was great!

Happy hour at basin 141 + Dodger's game = pure bliss! We arrived around 4:30pm and were able to find seating right away. Basin 141 has a warm ambiance and a great place to hang out with friends. I got the Roy Rodger's to start off and we ended up ordering different apps throughout the night. Garlic fries: 3/5, didn't taste garlicky enough for me Pretzel: 5/5, SO FLAME! It was so fluffy with the right amount of garlic. Came with a cheese and mustard dip on the side Korean wings: 3/5, chicken was very tender but I wish these were a bit sweeter to complement the savoriness Service was consistent throughout the night! We were probably there for over four hours but the waiters were always attentive and made sure our waters were always filled.

It proved more difficult when dealing with the owner Scott. I'll start by saying the end result was us rescheduling at the same rate that we booked & our event went well, however it wasn't without hiccups. When rescheduling, we were specifically instructed by Scott to cancel our booking in Peerspace & rebook the new date. That's when issues started. Before cancelling I mentioned how Peerspace won't refund our full amount & Scott replied that whatever isn't refunded will be credited toward the new date. That didn't happen without us constantly reaching out via text, email, & Peerspace. When you request a date on Peerspace it's pending review/approval from Blush, however it charges you immediately. Since we opted for the payment plan that required about half down & remainder later, we were waiting on our refund to book the new date. It never came. When we were finally able to have a phone call with Scott, I couldn't get one word in the entire time he was mansplaining the world of business. He was very patronizing & I swallowed my pride because we just wanted a resolve & to not lose the deposit. I asked very clearly whether he was going to uphold our agreement. He did, but under the condition that we pay the remainder of our balance upfront in good faith to them. We did & that was that. Thereafter, it was back & forth whether Chris would still be working our event which Scott said he was. Chris was the saving grace of Blush in our opinion. Customer service & how you treat people is king, so it put our hearts at ease. But not for long, since it was changed later to Jin. Getting Jin to respond was difficult. We requested a final walk through with our coordinator about a month before our event. Jin told us he wasn't feeling well & wasn't present for most of the walk through. So we asked questions via email instead. I specifically mentioned a clean facility is important to us. The place just wasn't as polished as we first saw it. He was responsive only after I'd send text follow ups. The week of, not at all. I was waiting on confirmation about our drink selection which I never got & we just hoped it would all work out the day of. Day of our coordinator arrived first. The bathrooms were clean but the bar, cocktail tables, mirror hallway, & front door were full of fingerprints and sticky as if not cleaned from a previous event. We were told there would be 2 staff & that they'd be able to help us move cocktail tables. We weren't aware one of those people would be Jin & he wasn't helpful at all. He completely ignored our coordinator & aunt, but jumped to help our DJ with the sound system. We can only conclude it's because our DJ is a man & as a same sex female couple that leaves such a bad taste in our mouths. Our coordinator & aunt ended up cleaning everything with the one rag & spray bottle he gave after we repeated asked. Coordinator, wife, son, & I moved the heavy tables/ottomans. The drinks didn't taste like our selections. But the worst part was that he started charging our guests upon arrival. My wife & I stepped away to change our clothes. We were there 1.5hrs before start time & Jin never approached us or our coordinator for our card. He also had our itinerary ahead of time and met our coordinator. FYI on top of booking fees, you're also required to use their bar service for ALL drinks alcohol/nonalcohol which is included info on Peerspace. We agreed we'd cover the required minimum of $2500 & once we reached that amount it would turn into a cash bar. Our guests approached us confused about the bar so my wife personally went to Jin & asked why people were being charged, to which he responded "I couldn't find you guys." They immediately include their tip, which we weren't aware of, so drinks totaled to about $2100 w/ the remainder being tax/tip. They continuously ran out of cups & had zero cups for the water dispensers. We were refilling used water bottles to give to the kids. My aunt & cousin were busing tables. Bartenders didn't care to stay quiet or hold drink orders during vows. Every video we have of our vows is them shaking drinks & slamming glassware. There were good things too, kinda. It wasn't communicated to us that the front bathroom was for staff only & we had a outfit change planned, so after first saying no, Jin ended up letting my wife & I use the front bathroom. Also him assisting our DJ resulted in the music going well. It's sadly overshadowed by all the other things that needed improvement. It comes down to a lack of customer service & professional decorum, because the venue itself is beautiful. We gave a final 3 STARS because everything came together. Those missing components are just so vital. A work day for them is literally someone else's most important day that they're choosing and paying to celebrate at Blush.
