Have been wanting to check this place out for a while, so I was looking forward to meeting with friends here! Walked in from the back into the patio, and noted a cute red car outside, & a nice fountain in the patio. Patio space seemed much bigger in person than from pics. You order & pay at the counter & they deliver the food to you. Very friendly staff, & when I said I had food allergies, he promptly put it in the order, which I appreciated. There's plenty of wine here, clearly a key selling point here! A nice variety on the breakfast and lunch menus. Decided to try their French Toast, and made it a combo with bacon & eggs. Very well presented, and the French toast tasted delicious, like a fluffy bread version of pancakes! My friends ordered an Eggs Benedict & omelet. A pleasant place for a nice breakfast or brunch! Only thing that bugged me was that there were a lot of emergency vehicles going by with very loud sirens. Made it difficult to talk over the sirens...then realized the patio wasn't enclosed in glass, lol. Will sit inside next time!! read more

I ordered the pesto panini (pesto, mozzarella, and tomato), which came out to over $17 for a simple sandwich with no sides ($4 more if you add chicken). My niece and I came to Little Provence Cafe in Arcadia for brunch and lattes. When we pulled into the small parking lot behind them, many of the spaces were taken and the ones remaining were business specific. We ended up parking across the street in the plaza with LA Fitness, and walked over. At this little cafe, you order and pay with the cashier and seat yourself. My niece had their Avocado Toast ($14.95) and a Banana Bread Latte ($?) with oat milk. I had their Breakfast Crepe ($17.49) and a Brown Bourbon Pecan Latte ($5.95). They don't put much effort into the presentation here. Or if they do, it doesn't show. I asked staff during my coffee order if they do latte art and they don't. Also the food was presented pretty casually. The breakfast crepe was filled with 2 eggs, 2 crispy bacon, red onions, sharp cheddar cheese and their house piquant sauce on the side. The crispy bacon was perfectly made. Both of us finished all of our food and enjoyed every bite, but the drinks were a different story. After a few sips we decided it was not worth the sugar and calories and left without taking the drinks with us. Every once in a while, you stumble onto a place that makes you wonder, "How have I been driving past this for years?" Little Provence Café sits on the corner of Baldwin and Naomi in Arcadia, and it's exactly the kind of restaurant my father, Elmer Dills, built a career discovering. Owner Dennis named the café after his mother, Rosemari, and his love for the Provence region of France. I've never been to France, but after spending an afternoon here--with the soft French music, friendly atmosphere, and the aroma of fresh herbs--I felt like I'd taken a little trip without leaving Arcadia. Nothing here feels rushed or pre-made. The Quiche Lorraine is made from scratch, the salmon sandwich features a generous four-ounce portion of fresh salmon, and the Rôti de Bœuf (their French roast beef sandwich) is slow-smoked and topped with a rich Dijonaisse sauce that's prepared overnight. The Niçoise salad was fresh and satisfying, while the Caesar reminded me of one of my favorite bits of food trivia--the original Caesar salad was actually created in Mexico. Dennis even grows herbs for the restaurant, and you can taste that extra attention in everything from the olive oil to the finishing touches on each dish. I skipped brunch on this visit, but I'll definitely be back. The coffee is Illy from Italy, and Dennis laughed, "Sometimes you have to admit the Italians make great coffee." Whether you're stopping in for breakfast, brunch, lunch, or simply an espresso, Little Provence Café is one of those neighborhood restaurants that's easy to miss--but well worth finding. I came here for the first time based on a friend's recommendation. This place is small but looks charming with a covered outdoor seating area. It also has a small indoor seating area. You have to place your order at the counter. The menu is on a big overhead display (which is hard to read). You can also pick up a regular menu at the counter. After you place your order, you help yourself to beverages and a table. They give you a number to place on your table and your order will be brought to you. Both my friend and I ordered the "signature" roast beef sandwich with ciabatta bread. The only difference is that I ordered half a sandwich with a side of arugula salad. My friend ordered the full sandwich. My friend's sandwich came out first even though I had places my order before her. I also noticed that other people that had placed their order after me had also gotten their food. I waited a long time for my food. When my sandwich and salad finally arrived, I noticed immediately how different my sandwich looks compared to my friend's sandwich. We had ordered the same sandwich! My friend's sandwich looked pretty liked a professionally made sandwich whereas my sandwich looked liked something someone would have thrown together at home in a hurry. My sandwich has less meat and less mushrooms. My arugula salad was also disappointing. There were a lot of wilted arugulas clumped together in my salad. I had to return it to have it remade. My roast beef sandwich and salad tasted just okay; nothing special. I could have made a better looking sandwich. I would suggest NOT ordering a half sandwich. The parking lot for this place is rather small. It cannot even accommodate lunch time crowd on a Monday. I can image how difficult it would be to find parking here on a weekend. I passed by this place many times and finally had a chance to stop by. I got a chicken club de provence with ham. The order took nearly 20 minutes to arrive. The sandwich was delicious. The meat looked dry at first but was actually quite juicy. The ham was not the regular ham and had a more smoky savory taste. The generous slices of tomato and lettuce helped give a nice texture break. The bun also didn't become soggy or break when the juices were leaking out of the meats. Overall, great food and great service. The only issue was the order taking 20 minutes to arrive. At least I know the sandwich was freshly made to order. I will be back. read more

I finally tried this place for brunch after passing by it for so many times. I ordered build-your-own omelette with mozzarella, spinach, and mushrooms. It came with a cup of salad on the side which was refreshing with the tangy vinaigrette dressing. I liked the sautéed mushrooms and spinach with their good seasoning. I also ordered their mixed berries sweet crepe. I didn't like this one at all because the crepe was not soft and it was like a thick layer as a bread dough. The smell of this crepe was not pleasant either. It was not good. Not recommend their crepe. On the other hand, the French toast was good with boriche bread. It tasted good with a balance of sweet and buttery. Added eggs and bacons for combo. Great portion for around $20. Berries, fruits, and salads tasted fresh here. Pistachio croissant was okay with flaky and crispy layers. It also had a pistachio cream filling inside. Not too sweet and it was good. But I think it would be better if it was warmed. I had brunch here with my friends, and we thoroughly enjoyed the food and experience! I got the veggie omelette, which was packed with mushrooms, spinach, tomatoes, and gooey swiss cheese. It was delicious and seasoned well. I loved the perfectly crispy fried potatoes and wheat toast that came with the omelette! I also got their pistachio croissant, which had pistachio paste as the filling. The croissant was huge, crispy/flaky, and not too sweet! The adorable patio section was such a pleasant surprise, with a water fountain, adorable French decor and music, and well shaded area. Inside the café, there are a couple of seats as well. The menu is written on a large board, but they have print out menus at the order encounter as well. You order the food first and find a seat after. Unfortunately, the espresso machine was broken when I went, so I opted for a cup of hot coffee and a Monte Cristo crêpe. The coffee was just OK, but I enjoyed the crêpe, it was savory from the ham and cheese and sweet from the berry sauce. The whip, whipped cream had a salted butteriness to it, which is surprisingly delicious. The vibe of the patio was very picturesque, and I really enjoyed my little brunch despite not being able to try their drink menu. We've driven by this café countless times and finally decided to give it a try this past weekend. The large covered patio is perfect for outdoor dining and it's pet-friendly. I ordered the ham quiche, a pistachio croissant, and an Americano. The quiche was delicious, it was rich and custardy, almost like a savory dessert. The quiche also came with perfectly crispy roasted potatoes. The Americano was served in a small mug, just the right portion. My husband ordered the salmon baguette sandwich and the Croque Fumé, an open-faced pastrami and cheese sandwich. The salmon baguette was light and flavorful, and although we couldn't finish the Croque Fumé, it reheated nicely in the air fryer two days later. We're already planning to come back to try their crepes and take advantage of their weekday happy hour. Friendly service, easy ordering at the counter, and a relaxed atmosphere. I was introduced to Little Provence Cafe when I visited their booth at Taste of Arcadia last month. It's a cute cafe on the corner or Baldwin and Naomi. There's parking in the rear and on the street. The cafe operates on a fast-casual concept where you order at the counter and it's then brought to your table. They have some indoor seating, with a larger outdoor patio. They offer an all-day menu with breakfast, lunch and dinner items available, most are French-inspired. Note the menu on the website is not as complete as the one on-site. For example, they offer many crepe dishes not on the website. I ordered 2 sandwiches to go, the Croque Monsieur and the Jambon Buerre. Both are usually served on baguettes, but alas, these are not delivered on Wednesdays, so mine were made on French rolls. The Croques I've had before were served on regular bread, so it was fine, perhaps could have used more bechamel sauce. I did taste the hint of nutmeg. The Jambon however, suffered from the lack of crunch and chew the baguette would have offered. I also got a ham and cheese croissant, which was deliciously flaky and savory. There are many other items on the menu I'd like to try, especially their breakfast items and crepes. They have wine for sale too, and serve wine, beer and coffee drinks. read more

First time here and I did not get food. But I did get coffee. What grabbed my attention was the Keto Butter Coffeee. Yes! I got it cafe au lait style, half coffee & half 2% milk. Handmade in real-time, so patiently worth the wait. Got it in a mug, too, because I was going to linger around a bit. Delicious! I particularly enjoyed the ambiance of the outdoor porch, with fresh plants all around, inside and out on the periphery. Sitting on the far left corner by the garden, with the antique pickup truck just out of the corner of my left eye. And, I think it's rosemary or floral herb that I smell! Here I am on a Sunday morning, and the free wifi internet was running & humming, but not quite as fast as the SSID Little Provence 1G WI-FI suggests. YMMV (your mileage may vary.) This is on my bookmark list for Food Reviewing Dungeon Meshi for their quiche! We literally came here within the last 30 minutes or so of them closing but we were still able to get a crepe and a sandwich before then. They were serving customers all the way up until close. Great customer service, but as we were finishing up they were cleaning up and breaking down. The cafe is cute and quaint. Literally, we have France at home, no need to grab the passport. There's some travel posters, kitchen decor, the tile in behind the cashiers is a lovely touch, and art throughout. Outside, take a photo with their cute Citroen 2CV car too. And as their name implies they have lavender growing outside and some fragrant sprigs in some small vases. They also have some of their baked goods on display and some imported snacks and ingredients for sale too We got the: 1) Roast Beef Sandwich: -Premium slow roasted beef infused with garlic clobes, fresh cracked pepper, and dijon mustard rub, topped with caramelized onions and sauteed mushrooms, melty provolone cheese, all on their ciabatta bread. -It's a HUGE sandwich. You can easily share it or only eat a portion of it and take it to go for later. Delicious symphony of umami, slightly salty, sweetness from the grilled onions, earthiness of the mushrooms, and a crunch from the bread. Delicious. 2) Brown Butter Pear Crepe: -I wanted something sweet and this caught my eye as one of their more unique crepes than something that I can get from a cone crepe place. -They don't skimp out on the ingredients and it's decadently delicious. Brown butter melted with the warmth of the crepe and the sugar went great with the natural sweetness of the pears and its crisp and slightly grainy and mushy texture. Delicious. We finally made it here after driving by over the past years. There's an entrance from the parking lot that leads to a spacious outdoor covered patio area. The inside is charming, resembling a small cafe with shelves carrying mainly wine bottles, Illy coffee and other products. There are large menu boards in 2 places on opposite ends on the counter and open kitchen. They also have a 'Summer Menu' posted, without prices. When asked, the staff had to look up each item because they don't know either. It turned out all of the 'Summer' items are in the regular menu, so it's always available. Orders are placed at the counter, and plates are brought out to the table. Even though we arrived early before the lunch crowd, our food took some time to come out. Looking at the kitchen, it appeared only one lady was doing all the work on our orders. Food: Chicken Club w/ bacon. The brioche bun was burnt. After one bite, I noticed a bitter taste. I flipped it over and saw the bottom was charred. The chicken was dry and had no seasoning. Luckily the lettuce and tomato gave it some moisture. 2/5. Blackened cod entree. When asked what their seasonal vegetables were (as a choice of sides), it seemed like they didn't have any. We went with rosemary potatoes. These were the saltiest we've ever had. The cod filet was very tough and dry, and fell apart even before we touched it. There were signs these were taken from the freezer, thawed and thrown on the grill. It was served room temperature. 1/5. Blackened cod sandwich: Same burnt brioche bun with same dry and firm cod. Also served cool. 1.5/5, because it didn't come with the way too salty potatoes. Eggs Benedict, the only thing I don't try but it seemed well made with runny eggs and a salad. Pesto panini was good. Warm, flavorful but for a little bit of roasted peppers, they charge another $2. 4/5. I like Monte Cristo and have never seen it in a crepe form. If was thin, had the savory and sweet combination with jam drizzle, but could've used more powdered sugar. 3/5. Half of our orders were decent, the other 1/2 really weren't. The prices were on the higher end, more than cafes on the West side that serve better quality sandwiches with a side. Also, many items didn't even list a price, that customers have to either ask, or just pay whatever they charge. For a small blueberry muffin, I saw an 8-pack at Costco the very next day that looked better for just a buck more. After our meal, we wanted to have some coffee. They do have some unique specialty coffee drinks. The bourbon pecan latte wasn't bad. They asked what size I want, but nowhere does it mention what the sizes are and how much. Pros: Enough seating and a nice location to relax and have a leisurely bite, or coffee. Nice covered patio area and their own parking lot. Charming decor. Decent choice of coffee drinks. Cons: Food quality and flavor really needs work. Prices are set high, and often not listed anywhere. Similar price points as nicer spots with much better food and full service. Wasted time asking staff for prices and they have to look everything up. Order prep time is slow, even though they weren't busy. Little Provence has good potential and a nice concept, but in my opinion, poorly executed. They seem to have a steady flow of customers and some regulars, so I don't expect them to change anything. We really wanted to like this place and make it a spot where we can meet, but they have given us enough reasons to not come back. read more

No major complaints about the food except we ordered the breakfast steak platter (well-done) for my son but it was pink on the inside - inedible for him. After waiting about 45 min for our food, the last thing I wanted to do was send the steak back. My espresso was pretty cold - disappointing :-(. My major gripe was the service. It was busy - I get it - but there are basic things you can do for your customers even when you're busy. There was one table available that was large enough to accommodate our party indoor but it was dirty. The blonde lady (I believe the owner), came and picked up a couple of things from the dirty table and left. Since she saw me waiting for the table to be cleaned up so we could sit, I figured she'd be right back to finish cleaning up. Nope - she didn't say a word to me - just left and never came back. If she was busy - I get it- but have customer service skills or some manners and at least acknowledge the customer and say hey, we're really busy atm but give me a few minutes I can get someone to clean that for you - or something! So, I ended up picking up the dirty dishes myself, then wiping down the table - she noticed me doing that I'm sure - still no acknowledgement. At this point I regretted coming here. The cold coffee and the under-cooked steak was just the cherry on top, Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend this place based on customer service and experience. I always passed this place when I shop at Aldi, Vons, and Daiso nearby and so on Mother's Day morning I asked to have breakfast here. Parking behind was spacious before brunch time (10am) but be careful as there's no lines guiding you in one part of the lot. When entering from the back, upon walking through you will see a bright red car which surprised my child in a fun way. We passed the outside seating area which was very spacious and the decorations are very beautiful. French cafe style with varying decor of paintings which my son kept pointing out to us as we walked in. We were greeted right away and since we were not sure what to order, we took the menus and sat near a window. There were a lot of wine bottles displayed and various packaged goods you can purchase in the middle of the place. I enjoyed checking them out to see what they were selling. We decided on a meatball sandwich, large fries, fountain drink, Provence quiche, and keto butter coffee. For the fountain drink, there's a counter with a soda fountain dispenser as well as sugars and creamers for coffee. The staff were very welcoming and brought the food to our table as well as silverware and napkins. The keto coffee came first and I added my own creamer and sugar substitutes. Glad I can put how much I want and can get more near the drink counter without asking! The food looked great, the quiche had large slices of mushrooms and was warm and soft. The garden salad it came with had a very nice herb vinaigrette. The sandwich was hot and the tomato sauce was tangy with melted cheese. The fries were super crispy (extra crispy I believe). Overall this was such a nice vibrant cafe, although I wish they had meal deals (drink + sandwich + side), the food was great and the ambiance helped make staying to enjoy the food better. We also noticed many stayed after eating to have a longer conversation with each other, whether it was sipping coffee or a glass of wine. Having grown up in the 626, I've see this corner transition between businesses. Having returned, I'm surprised to see it now be Little Provence Cafe. A new cafe I haven't visited? Yes! I walked in for a classic iced latte; my favorite is tasting every cafe's different types of beans and espresso paired with milk. They proudly serve illy, which is one of my all-time favorites, and they made it well! Being a weekday afternoon, finding seating was fairly easy. The music also isn't too loud, and it's fairly chill, making for a great study environment. If you enjoy the outdoors, they also have a covered patio area, but it is near the street, so there will be light traffic. I will admit the hardest thing might be their interior decor if you're easily stimulated, as there are many reflections / colors / objects around. Parking was fairly straightforward in the back... and the staff politely informed me that it was also Happy Hour. If I didn't already have dinner plans, I likely would've enjoyed a meal here. This little gem is getting a 5 star review. I just didn't expect this from simply taking my son to a doctor appointment follow up down the street. We wanted to grab some breakfast local and this was just so perfect. Just walking in felt so refreshing. A little bit of France. The décor and paintings are lovely. You order at the front and the food is brought to your table. A nice menu of food variety to choose from. Had a little bit of this and that to try from and it was delicious. The cashier at the front was so nice and helpful. Definitely good energy in this place. Nice and comfy ambiance, nice service and great food. Will definitely be back at the next doctor's appointment. read more

Fantastic brunch spot that has authentic French vibes. The food is great and very filling. The bacon was super crispy and were perfect in the eggs Benedict and breakfast crepe. There are plenty of indoor and outdoors seats, and the staff bring out the food and are very friendly. They also have a little market selling wine. read more

I really love this casual French cafe!! I had been here multiple times by now. I definitely love to take advantage of their Happy hour deal which is Monday through Friday 3-6pm with 20% off entire menu except a few of their special offers that is already very low price. My all time favorite dish is the Nicoise Salad (Tuna). It's consistently very fresh and delicious overtime I order it! This most recent visit I tried their veggie omelette with Rosemary potatoes and wheat toast. Everything tasted very delicious! The rosemary potatoes are crunch and flavorful but also not too salty. I also like the texture of the wheat toast. I also tried their eggplant steak sandwich and a half size French onion soup. I really enjoy their soup because it's not too heavy on the cheese but just right and the soup isn't too sweet or salty like some of the ones I have had. The eggplant steak is good and perfect for vegans! The other set is the Pork loin sandwich with fries for only $10 during happy hour. The pork loin sandwich is a bit spicy and it's very good flavoring! But the fries could be more crunchy. Then the cappuccino is very good too! The brownie is good but it's the fudge kind and I personally like the chewy type. I still can't believe it's such a good deal for just $5 for a pastry and a coffee drink! There isn't an inflation while dining here. Good quality food with super reasonable prices! Overall, this is a very good restaurant! Service is very great too!!! Friendly staff, menu has different options to choose from, the food was ok with fresh ingredients, cappuccino was weak maybe because it was a large size, coffee was also lukewarm. Might try something from their lunch menu next time if in the area again. They need to do some serious dusting of the whole place. We were sat inside not sure how outside was but inside ceiling fans inside were full of dust, same for the AC vents and the wall (the blue baseboard on the wall) next to our 2 seat table was also very very dusty. You can tell they haven't cleaned all that in a long time! Not good. read more

Shout-out to Little Provence Cafe! It's always a great cafe when we are craving something healthier and need to get a coffee fix. There isn't great coffee in Arcadia so when Little Provence came in with coffee options made right and an expansive menu with local and fresh ingredients, it was easily a local favorite! My favorite bites include: - Pork Loin Sandwich: The combination of flavors just works with a hint of spice to the toasted and oiled chewy bread and the thinly sliced pork loin - Salmon Salad : I love their salads because of the high quality olive oil they use for the dressing as well as the delicious fresh croutons that are the perfect balance of light bread that crunches well and dissolves in your mouth to the taste of the oil. The salmon is perfectly cooked and a good portion as well. - Tuna Nicoise: In salad or sandwich form is good but I prefer sandwich. It's a nice lighter springtime sandwich I can't recommend Little Provence enough for their amazing service.
