My sister and I were looking to install a temporary wall for an investment property and we reached out to several companies to get quotes and time frames. We finally contacted 1daywall after checking some of the reviews on yelp and saw that the company received some pretty great reviews. We were skeptical with all the hype but gave the company a call to get a quote. The price we received was pretty reasonable, but what impressed us most was that Vincent (the owner) answered all our questions no matter how many times we called, always returned our call promptly and took the time to understand the layout we were looking for. From the beginning there were many difficulties, the first being a difficult condo board. However Vincent provided all the necessary paper work on time and things got started pretty quickly. The second was a complicated layout. Two walls had to go up (an L shape) with one of them having several windows and a sliding door. 1daywall made the process simple, dealt with every problem we had on the way, got the walls up quickly and the results were perfect. The walls looked exactly as it was shown to us on the diagram. We could not have been happier with the results and I can honestly say that this small, four hundred square foot apartment actually looked larger after installing the walls. We have done several renovation projects and have dealt with many companies, but I can honestly say this is the only company that impressed me enough to sit down and write a review. read more

1DayWall was an amazing experience that I reccomend anybody looking to build a temporary (or even permenant wall) to use. I needed a last min. wall built and went online to find one. The first service I called were extremely rude and unaccomdating. They said they do not build walls on weekends, which is redicilous being that most people are working on weekdays and cannot be there for the service, so I then contacted 1DayWall and could not be happier about it! I needed to arrange to have a temporary wall built within 24 hours and not only were they able to accomodate my last minute needs but they were very flexiable with pricing and were able to build my wall just the way I had asked (which was not a 1,2,3 job) within hours. Not only were they accomdating in this sense, they were also exaclty on time (which is rare for companies like this) and did an AMAZING job on the wall. I had a pressurized wall built, expecting it to look like a "fake wall" however the wall came out so good that you would NEVER know this is a temporary wall, which is what I am most satisfied with. It actually looks better than the wall my landlord installed for us. I do not usually even take the time to write Yelp reviews, however I was so satisfied with this company that I felt the need to. Everyone, don't bother researching and requesting estimates from other companies. 1DayWall is hands down AMAZING! I contacted Vince in January and we've been chatting back and forth on how to convert our 1BR into a 2BR. He's was so patient, accommodating and worked with me with pricing. After months of communication, I finally made the appointment to get the process started. They first had to take down our current temp wall in order to build new ones. The mechanics arrived on time and cleaned up afterwards leaving us with very very little cleaning to do. Now for installation day, they arrived on time and really worked with me to map out how the walls and doors should be placed. I even changed my mind mid-process to reposition one of the doors and they didn't even bat an eye and did what I asked for. They're exact words were "We just want you to be happy." Mechanics were polite and very professional. Needless to say, our 1BR became a 2BR in 5 hours and its looks fantastic! We opted for single french style doors and they are beautiful. The molding they put around the door frame really adds such character. The only regret I have is that I didn't do this sooner! They made this process smooth and stress free. I recently hired 1DayWall to put up a wall to make a large 1 bedroom apartment into 2 bedrooms. I did my research and priced around, and 1DayWall gave me the best pricing around -- mind you, I didn't just want a standard wall and solid door, I was looking for something even more functional. In order to convert the 1 bedroom into a 2 bedroom, it meant losing a portion of the living room, and in turn losing the living room windows. Rather than opening the door to my apartment and feeling like it was a cave, it was important to me that I maintained light in living area. Solution? Double french frosted glass doors and a frosted glass window along the top of the wall. They also made the doors pocket doors, which saves a ton of space since you don't need to account for doors swinging open when you're arranging furniture (space is a precious commodity in NYC!). Vince and his guys went the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect and beyond my expectations. I would highly recommend using them for whatever kind of wall you need - and don't be afraid to price out extras like sliding doors and windows. I have a beautiful new room now and it's one of the best things to happen to me. My mom and I have been living in a one bedroom for most of my life and it has its ups and downs. I'm mostly sleeping in the living room, we have conflicting sleep times, she hates when I have the lights on after hours, and her company makes noise in the dining room while I'm trying to sleep. We don't have those problems anymore. One day wall came while she was home and I was at work and she said they did such a thorough, clean, excellent job. They were friendly, quick, and professional. My room is half the living room now. It's so cute. When my light is on and door is closed, my mom can't see it. I didn't want windows. I put a bed in there. When her company comes early in the morning when I'm asleep I hardly hear them. It's the positive change we both need until I'm finished school and finally ready to move out. We've had little living together problems like this for a while and in one day it was alleviated- without having to move into a 2 bedroom for double the rent. 1 Day Wall has been excellent to work with and I am so happy with my final product. I wanted something very specific to create an office area while also keeping the living room space open. The manager, Vincent, was EXTREMELY patient with me as we figured out how to make my vision come to life within the parameters of my apartment (and wallet). I was amazed that we were able to get the job on the calendar so quickly. It was awesome to watch the team built the bookshelves on site and to my specifications and the whole job was actually done in one day. When, a few weeks later, I noticed some of the plaster cracking, Vincent had someone come and fix it at no cost (despite some issues on my end that forced them to come back twice to finish the job). What an awesome experience from start to finish! I researched the process for months (I know, I know) and decided to go with 1DayWall. I'm so glad we did! We had several questions and desired optioned for our wall. Vince always emailed/texted us back promptly with an easy going patience and very detailed explanation of every step. The day (today 8/12) of the install, Javier (super nice) arrived right on time and got right to work. About 4 hours later the wall was finished and it truly looks amazing! We had a two pocket doors, opening in the middle and two vents added. The wall looks so nice and clean, classy and extremely professional. I live in a one bedroom in NYC and my husband and I have been trying to extend our stay here with our small son. 1 Day Wall made that possible by putting up a wall that divides are large bedroom into two. We wanted to make our dining alcove into a small bedroom/office. Vincent was very professional and flexible. And they delivered great result efficiently. The whole process was smooth. We had a video chat at the beginning to discuss what needs to be done. Then he came to take measurements a few days before the work day. The work took only about 2-3 hours. We wanted the wall to be sound-proof so the workers added insulation materials. We also wanted another wall to be enforced for shelvings, they were able to do that as well at a little extra charge. we are very happy with the walls after having them for over half a year. They block the noise better than I expected, to my surprise! There was some minor issue because of the tilt of the door. Vincent agreed to come fix the issue for free. I am amazed by the work the 1 Day Wall crew did! They built us a bookcase wall with a sliding French pocket door in less than 4 hours and were courteous, professional, and excellent at their craft. Vince was a pleasure to work with and patiently answered every question I had and made this process as easy as possible for me.
