Who doesn't put the coil in the spark plugs back when they're done with your car? This auto shop. I took my car in last month because I had a check engine light and I figured I'd get a first opinion before taking it to the dealership. The diagnostic/analysis is a fair price of 149.99 with a 10 dollar shop/labor fee. The issue was that I took it in and told them what was the issue as standard and they said it would take them a few hours but they'd call me when it was ready. I get a call about 6 hours later saying the car is ready and I go and grab it. They tell me that I have some issues with my spark plugs and some other things, I thank them, pay and take my leave. I get in the car, turn it on and can immediately feel something's wrong. I figure the car can make it down to my house which is past the casino but I was wrong. It started shaking and the check engine light was flashing and to be clear it was not doing this 6 hours ago. So I pull over, and call the auto shop, asking if they missed a step. They were insisting for me to come back to the shop to see if they can fix the issue for me but shouldn't they have made sure it would at least be in the same or better condition than when I dropped it off before saying it was ready and having me pay for the service? I declined and I got a tow truck to take it to the dealership. I later find out that they didn't put the coil on the spark plug? Thankfully my car has warranty so didn't have to pay anything else but I regret this shop. BEWARE. If you can take your car somewhere else for serious issues please do. Go somewhere that verifies the repair. CHECK THE REVIEWS.

I still am missing the cap for my mirror that they lost. They charged me approximately $200 to fix the wiring on my power mirror, when a brand new one was the same price. I brought my diesel truck back recently for an oil and fuel filter change. Further, I had a wheel bearing going bad and asked them to check that. When I picked up my truck the bill was over $300 for oil and fuel filter. Granted the fuel filter is $50 wholesale, they charged me $200 to change it. Then they told me they couldn't replicate the wheel bearing noise, so no charge for diagnostic. They told me I could use an emergency brake cable. I bit my tongue and left. I then got an email from them stating I needed a $4000 front differential. Ludicrous. I didn't want to do the work myself, but I did. It needed front wheel bearings (which was obvious from driving the truck). I did the bearings which were in bad shape and replaced the brakes and rotors. Front fixed. Then to address the emergency brake cable, I moved to the rear wheels and replaced bearings, backing plates, brakes, and rotors. I've attached a picture of what they looked like. If I had been someone without mechanical knowledge I would have walked out with a new 4000$ differential that didn't need to be replaced, and a new e-brake cable. The wheel bearing would have still been squealing and the rear brakes falling apart. I'm still in awe. How would you know the front differential was bad when you hadn't even engaged 4-wheel drive? They did vacuum my floorboard and leave me a bottle of water. Didn't want to write this review, but felt compelled.

I'm not sure what has transpired in the last 2 yrs with this location. Back in 2015 I had an oil change performed at A1 Auto Service Center on my 2014 Mazda 6. Several…read moreweeks later my oil pressure light came on while driving and my engine sounds were alarming. I took the car to my dealership and they pointed out that the oil filter had likely failed as the oil had leaked out which caused heavy engine damage. I contacted A1 Auto Service Center and was told that since the oil filter was good when I drove away, that it was my problem to deal with. After a LOT of back and forth over weeks and months WIX, A1 Auto Service Center's oil filter supplier, eventually covered the damage to my car. However the approximate $5,000 in rental car charges that I incurred, due to not having a working vehicle for several months, was never recouped. After doing some research into the industry, it turns out shops like A1 Auto Service Center are required to have insurance to cover situations like this and they didn't have it. In the end A1 Auto Service Center put the responsibility on me to pursue their oil filter supplier while they refused to take any responsibility. A reputable shop would have provided a backup vehicle while they took point and got it sorted out. I understand companies being cautious about accepting liability but this should never come at the expense of the customer. I felt helpless as these two companies consistently pointed the finger at each other all while I'm incurring debt in order to secure transportation just so I don't lose my job and ability to provide for my family. The way the owner/manager conducted himself towards me was disgraceful, disrespectful, and showed a complete lack of care for my situation as his customer. Everyone I spoke to that was involved in this ordeal had similar things to say him and the way he does business. This is, by far, the worst experience in customer service that I have ever received. That is why I have come back 10 years later to drop this review.

The sunroof on my Infiniti would not close and that was very frustrating and concerning to me, especially living in an area they get so much rain. I took it in first thing in the morning and a couple hours later they were calling to let me know that they had fixed the problem On another occasion, I was clumsy, attempting to change out my standard headlamp bulbs to some high visibility ones. I quickly hit my mechanical threshold, but not before I rendered one of the lights interoperable. Very tight working conditions. I took it into the shop and they called me an hour later saying that it was done. Other than those occasions, I've had some general work done, including oil changes and 30 and 60,000 mile maintenance packages. I have always found them to be courteous, offer a shuttle vehicle back to work and great communication. I highly recommend Greg's Japanese Auto.

I brought in my 2004 Honda Odyssey because of an intermittent transmission problem. I explained in detail that the vehicle had occasionally failed to engage properly and appeared to go into limp mode. I also explained that about two months earlier, while driving from California to Washington, the transmission had overheated and pushed fluid out through the dipstick tube. I specifically told them this because there was still old dark transmission fluid residue around the top of the transmission. I left the vehicle with them for approximately a week. During that time, communication was extremely poor. I rarely received updates unless I called them myself. When I did call, I was repeatedly told they would get back to me, but I continued having to follow up to find out what was happening. When I finally picked up the vehicle, I was charged $242.87, including $219.99 for diagnostic time. Their paperwork says the diagnostic service includes a test drive, computer scan, monitoring the data stream, evaluating diagnostic information, and checking applicable technical service bulletins. However, the actual written findings were extremely limited. Their report states that the vehicle was "shifting OK at this time," that the transmission fluid looked clean and the level was OK, and that they found code P0730. It then states that the transmission had "failed internally" and recommends replacing the entire transmission. They quoted me approximately $7,400 for the replacement. When I asked how they determined that the transmission had internally failed, I was simply told it was based on their testing. I was not given any detailed test results showing what specifically established an internal mechanical failure. If I am paying over $200 specifically for a transmission diagnosis before being told I need a $7,400 repair, I expect a clear explanation and documentation showing how that conclusion was reached, especially when their own report says the vehicle was shifting normally during their test drive. Maybe the transmission ultimately does need replacement. That is not my complaint. My complaint is that after leaving my vehicle there for approximately a week, repeatedly having to call for updates, and paying $242.87, I left without a clear explanation of what testing actually proved that the entire transmission needed to be replaced. Between the lack of communication and the lack of detail supporting such an expensive recommendation, I was extremely disappointed with my experience. You're better off going to Firestone down the street, and they're a rip-off, so that goes to show.
