Dropped in today to have an engine cover underneath the suv (2019 Ford Escape) that had broken loose after an unfortunate encounter with a creature in the road. I intended for them to order the parts needed to reattach this cover (my hurriedly zip ties were a short term fix) and set up appointment to repair. They took the vehicle, hoisted it up and replaced 5 bolts that had sheared off. Bing bang boom the repair was done and they did not charge me anything at all. Whenever there has been something wrong with the car, they always try eliminating the problem via the cheaper route first instead of immediately suggesting the more expensive repair. This place was great! We found a used Yukon at a dealership nearby, but didn't want to purchase until a third party checked it out. I called a few other shops in the area about an inspection and all were booked up for the next few weeks, but auto dynamix was able to get us in for an inspection the next day! I've brought my car to Auto Dyanmix twice so far and have been very pleased with the service. I know my way around a garage and can wrench my own car, but there are some repairs that I'd just rather avoid and save myself the headache and time. I've talked with Khea and Todd who are both friendly and overall great guys. I brought the car in to have the motor mounts replaced for what I suspected was causing my car to 'buck' under acceleration/deceleration. Todd offered to have a look around to see if I needed to actually replace all 3 mounts. After the inspection, he ended up only replacing the 2 mounts. Todd finished the car late Friday and told me I could pick it up anytime over the weekend, and that I could come by early the following week to make the payment. I have a 1983 Contemporary Shelby Cobra with a 1972 351 Cleveland in it, not something I trust anyone with. Came in, went for a ride with them so they could feel the issue, they took a look at the car in the shop, showed me the issue, fixed it in two hours, I test drove it to double check, worked great! Can't say enough about these guys. While I hung out for a couple hours I kept seeing happy customers come in and out. You need anything done, classic or brand new, this is the place. I would not classify myself as a motorhead; far from it. But I like an occasional challenge, know how to search you tube, and I'm cheap. I also work somewhat in the automotive field so it just seems like something I should do. So I will work on my own car (speaking of challenges); sometimes with success that just artificially buoys my confidence. I have had a few issues with the 1997 Ford Exploder that leave me stumped at times and I haven't had much luck with mechanics I've used to try and keep it from being donated. The latest round of knuckle scraping and choice words had me stumped again. Auto Dynamix reviews looked pretty awesome. So I called Khea and made an appointment. And that was my lucky day. The Exploder was acting a lot like a blown head gasket (sorta) and a dead heater. I appreciate that Khea ran some tests, and took a pretty conservative approach to the repair. He didn't go straight to replacing the heater core which would have costs several hundred more $$'s to repair. All told, he had the car for a few days; checked in with me every day; made repairs at a very reasonable cost; and the Exploder now runs the best it has in years. Much better than the dealer service I tried before and better than some other reputable shops. With Auto Dynamix, the Exploder has found its "forever mechanics". And the Acura dealer probably lost a customer as well because we'll be taking the spouse's TL here soon. Highly recommend! Bonus....found Sugee's Deli near-by. That will be another review! read more

Wow wow wow!!! I would give this business and it's employees TEN STARS if I could!!! I had a trailer hitch installed, and called around to do a little price shopping ahead of time. Worst case scenario--Rack & Road on NE 8th wanted $279 for this simple install...but Auto Dynamix only charged me $70 for a 1/2 hr. install... and they did it in only 20 mins (2 guys on the job)...what an awesome deal. Auto Dynamix is a bit hard to find since it's located in the back of a strip mall and wouldn't expect an auto repair place to be located there. But I like this place since it's easy to schedule an appt (all online) and it's pretty easy to get an appointment right away. I typically wait for my car to be done while sitting in their leather sofa, using their internet and scratching their dog. I found this place on Yelp as well. I was out to lunch one day and my window rolled down but not back up... I could pull it up.. but it would just fall. This is no bueno. I googled what I could and found AD. Khea answered the phone and told me that he would take my info and call me back in 30 mins with a quote. Impressed beyond belief. Just had our 8 year old Honda Civic serviced here for regular oil change and check up. I briefly mentioned to Dave in the beginning that the AC is not working, may be they can take a look and give me a quote for later. I had checked out the AC at a Honda dealership last year. The dealership had diagnosed it with a compresser failure and estimated around $2,000 for repair. I kept postponing the repair to avoid spending so much money. And I am so glad I postponed! Autodynamix fixed the AC for $21 !! Yes, at one-hundredth the price quoted to me by the dealership! Beyond belief! Khea said that Dave basically took a quick look, found that a relay was malfunctioning and replaced it for $21. Impressed! I had shown them the paperwork from the dealership and they could easily have gone with the earlier diagnosis to charge me for the whole compresser which I would have paid for because this summer is already too hot. However, Khea and Dave showed complete integrity, expertise and even humility after making my life so much easier. Thank you, Khea and Dave. Wish more businesses were like yours. Khea was incredibly helpful. He emailed me a quote for a repair, and set up an appointment for me to come in. The repair took a little longer than anticipated, but that's because I ultimately showed up about an hour late and during their lunch hour. I lounged about in their waiting room, and I even ended up taking a nap on their couch! They were honest, reliable, and did quality work. I'd go back! My one and only complaint is that they aren't open on the weekends. For us M-F 8-5 folks, it's kind of hard to stop by when places aren't open on the weekends. read more

I saw all the 5 star reviews and knew I had to visit Auto Dynamix to get some work done on my 10 year old Mitsubishi Endeavor. After years of having my Mitsu serviced at a Mitsu dealer, it's so refreshing to take it to a place that'll do the work, do it with no problems and finish it all up without trying to up-sell me on anything that's not urgent. Khea did let me know that I need some brake work done, but it was nice that he didn't try to up sell me on all the other minor things that the dealership had been prodding me to fix for years and years. In fact, one of the main things they had been harping on, he told me was something I didn't need to worry about at all for a while. I brought my laptop because I needed to do some work, and they shared their wifi password with me. That was awesome. And to make a great place even better, Jasmine, the shop dog (an adorable black lab) came and visited briefly after I sat down to work. This is my new auto repair shop! read more

And, well, here's the story: So my muffler was rattling when my car idled. Last time I got an oil change I had them check it out and they told me I'd need to get the muffler welded back on. "Oh boy," I'm thinking as I picture a $300-ish repair. I found Auto Dynamix online and contacted them, explaining my situation. They emailed back and told me to bring the car by for a free estimate. I went today during lunch, not sure how long it would take or how bad the damage (read: huge bill) would be. After struggling a little to find it, I was quite pleased to have the guys come out almost immediately. They got under the car and had me turn it on. The rattle started up. They had me stop it and shook some metal around. Within 2 minutes, they had pulled off my heat shield and had me turn the car back on. NO RATTLING! "How much will it cost me to replace that?" I asked. "Oh, don't worry about it, these are overkill." "So, we're done." "Yep, you want me to throw [the heat shield] away for you?" "Um, sure." Bottom line: I thought I'd have a huge bill and rather than rip me off, these guys fixed my issue for free and in about 5 minutes from pulling up to pulling away. I had an amazing experience here this morning, I came in because my license plates screws were broken and I needed to change the plates on my car since I recently moved to WA. The folks at Auto Dynamic let me come in on short notice, and not only drilled out my broken license plate screws, but they did it for free. Came in after some "friend" put my alternator in wrong. My car had a check engine light on and was making crazy noises from the alternator belt being loose. Many shoddy mechanics would have certainly tried to take me to the cleaners on this. Dropped my car off, 30 minutes later it was fixed. Khea adjusted the belt and ran some tests finding out that the fix for my engine was simple (for him) he went ahead and fixed it. Cost to me- $$$$$ FREE Not even sure what to say to that. If I ever have any other issues with any car he'll be the first person I see. Great customer service, trustable, and excellent work. Two stars because they actually mounted the tires on the right wheels, facing the right direction and the PSI was close to cold spec. I let them know the car was going on a trailer that afternoon to the Monterey Car Week and time was of the essence, they agreed to be quick. However I asked them to perform a 4 wheel alignment which they agreed to do. I realized it was taking way too long and decided to inquire why. The guy at the counter said they were having a difficult time finding the alignment specs. Uh.... just look online? Call the dealer? Ask the owner? I found them in 10 seconds of a Google search. Another 30 minutes passed and I looked back into the shop and apparently everyone goes to lunch at the same time. So instead of telling me this in advance they use the BS excuse that they can't find the specs. Speechless and not happy about being lied to I asked them to just get my car off the rack and take the business elsewhere. It always amazes me how people put hurdles in front of the cash register and turn down $300. To the guys in the back- Instead of eye f-ing my car and taking pictures of it to post on your Instagram work a little harder, who knows maybe one day you can post photos of your own car :) read more

Khea's responsiveness to e-mails and calls were timely and reassuring. There was a scheduling mix up and instead of sending me away, Khea agreed to work on my car because he remembered a random comment I made about my work schedule from a previous conversation and knew I was in a tough spot. Thank you. While my pads & rotors were being replaced Khea & friendly staff made a point to call me for clarifications, and were respectfully candid about necessary revisions to previous estimates (which were still lower than what I budgeted for). Basically, there were a few opportunities that could have taken this experience in a very disappointing direction. Khea was great! I see why so many prior were happy with their experience here. We have a honda CR-V. I'm new in town and need to find all the necessities and a great place to have my wife's car serviced and kept in great shape was important. We arrived after shipping our car here from Hawaii and found that a rat had chewed through my wife's 2nd gear pressure switch wiring, normally this is job I would have done on my own, however I don't have a closed garage and it's way to cold. Anyway, I called and explained the issue and booked the appointment no problem. After meeting Khea, I was impressed with his friendly almost gentleman like demeanor. I asked if he could also change the transmission fluid and brake fluid. This was at 10am, he had everything done and called me for pickup by 2:30. As someone with very limited knowledge of cars, I feel so grateful to have found a mechanic that I can trust. I have dealt with Auto Dynamix on 3 or 4 occasions and every experience has been fantastic. They have never pressured me into unnecessary repairs, they lay out each recommended repair in terms of priority to help me plan for future expenses, and they do all of this with amazing customer service. When the clutch went out on my previous car, Khea helped me decide that it probably would not pay off for me to put $1300 into replacing the clutch on such an old car. I'm sure there are some mechanics out there who would have only seen dollar signs and encouraged me to just go ahead with the repair. I took my replacement car to Auto Dynamix to get it checked out shortly after purchasing it. Khea discussed multiple things to keep in mind with a car of my make, model and year. He recommended whenever the time came to get my water pump replaced, to have my timing belt replaced as well (or vice versa) in order to save money on labor expenses. Unfortunately, I recently took my car to another mechanic that was closer, forgot about Khea's recommendations, and the other mechanic recommended I replace my water pump, but mentioned nothing about the timing belt. Long story short, $1200 later, I have a new water pump (among other repairs), but the same old timing belt. I found myself back at Auto Dynamix again today because my new (used) car has a fan that was draining my battery. All it needed was a fuse replaced, but it still took time out of their day what with test driving my car and diagnosing the issue. Khea refused to charge me anything! We had a noise in our 2004 Subaru that sounded like there was an issue in our front right wheel area. Having recently moved back to Bellevue, we didn't have a trusted car care relationship, but it's safe to say: "WE DO NOW!" Khea was so very gracious in accommodating our appointment and got back to us mid-morning to verify some conditions and after some dialogue about the source of the noise he came back with the results. We needed new brake pads and the rotors turned. There was no BS, no horse trading, no shady talk. Straight up fair prices and honest talk. Seriously. What more could I ask for in a relationship with my car repair place? A lot more, I guess! When I got there to pick up the car, they were incredibly gracious and had the worn out parts that they had replaced to show what was done. I visited this place to replace a broken passenger side mirror. They were very nice and friendly. They needed to order the mirror from manufacture, and it was ready next morning. I went there again and had it installed. They finished all the work in less an hour. One imperfection was that the camera under the mirror needed to be adjusted before the screen could display anything for it. They failed to figure out how to do so. I went home and figured out that I needed to print out a marker, put it at a certain position, enter the diagnostic tool on the screen, then let it aim. It took several attempts before accepting the aiming and showed the picture. However, the angle was not perfectly right. I will need to readjust it some time. read more

I'm very comfortable with things like oil changes, belt replacements, etc. But when I have a task that's a bit more involved this is the only shop I will go to.
