I've done a numerous amount of repairs at 1st choice Automotive since I own a bmw lol. They always do a very good job and their prices are fair and great, you'll definitely save a lot of money here. The guys that work here are very friendly, they're experienced and really know what they're doing. They definitely know how to think outside the box as well, had an issue with my driver door handle and they figured out a way to fix it rather than order me a brand new mechanism for 400$. I've had a them replace control arms, sway bar, done regular maintenance engine flush and oil changes here. Took my car in to get the plastic undercarriage cover repaired and they ended up breaking my coolant tank. They did do a coolant flush and repaired the valve but did not do it for free. Charged me 80 percent labor and 100 percent parts. I was satisfied with the service but not the cost. read more

BEWARE OF Ist choice auto. I went to this shop to get by tire replaced and mechanic told me wheel alignment is very bad. I believed them and went next day to do alignment. They called me up and said i need to replace rear shocks and control arm brushing quoted me more than $600 Mine is a 2013 model and i was suspicious so asked them to do just the alignment. I got the car they dint give me alignment report and asked to come do the other work ASAP. After doing alignment my car condition got worst, car was not keeping lane and I started to get vehicle electronic stability warning lights. I had none of these issues prior going to this place. They did this on purpose to get business. These people put me in dangerous situation in middle for a long journey. I took the car to a different mechanic and they did the re-alignment for $70 and told me i do not need to do any other work your car is in perfect condition. People don't get excited by their $49 alignment rate they do these kind of things and eventually you pay more money. This is not the way to get to business its through peoples trust. I will never ever go there or recommend to anyone. read more

I was told what the damage was going to be, and was then given a ride to my house.after being told the repairs would not be finished until the next day, I was given a loaner car. I stopped by for an inspection and was told that I needed a new drive belt because mine was cracked. To be clear, this isn't even part of a state inspection! They said it would be $120 to replace it or they wouldn't pass me. I was already skeptical when they told me I could pay for the belt and then they'd pass my vehicle for inspection and then I could come back for the repair. SO SHADY! I told them no thanks and then went down the road to Mike's and got my car inspected and passed (of course) in 15 minutes. I feel like they tried to take advantage of me because I'm a woman. I'm pretty upset. Called in asking about hub replacement on my little brothers Truck. Ford f150 4x4, and was very clear regarding make and model. Was quoted $300-350 over the phone, which made me EXTREMELY happy and I said lets lock it in. As soon as I didn't balk at the pricing he(Eric) said he'd have to call me right back. I assumed it was to check part availability, when he called back the pricing went to "$400 out the door" which I totally understood, if it was part pricing. My brother showed up this morning, and I asked him to confirm the price, which had magically jumped to $500. I got Eric on the phone and he apologized, saying he had made a mistake, cool, it happens, BUT I am not willing to pay that to fix someone else's vehicle. Then once I told Eric to give the key back to my brother he said " Man, if I really push it I can get it done for $450, to which I held strong and again asked that he give my brother his key back and let him leave. I could hear Eric was a bit upset as he hung up the phone. A few minutes later my little brother called back and told me that Eric had said he could do it for the original $400 quoted. Not NO but HELL NO. In my eyes, every rise and fall in the pricing was chipping away at my trust. No way I'd let you take my little brothers life in to your hands. This was not my first experience with 1st Choice, but it is certainly the last. read more

I have take my car to this place like three times and I will never go back, first they did an oil change and I notice that my car was heating up and I checked the oil and it was empty, the oil filter was so loose that all the oil licked out, they didn't put it correctly, then they changed the fuel filter and put the wrong piece, yes is cheap place but they don't use the right parts. My experience with this garage had been good until February, 2017, when I took my 2008 Honda Accord in for a routine oil change. I was informed that i needed to change my transmission fluid. I informed the mechanic to change it only if it was at the specified mileage mark which he indicated it was (changed at 119,266). No nformation about previous fluid history was asked for. Within the same week the car experienced transmission problems. It became undriveable. I discovered that the fluid used for Honda cars MUST be a specific oil called Honda ATF-DW-1.The garage reviewed the problem, informed me they use a compatible fluid and sent me on my way with a 30-day/100 mile warranty. Within several weeks, the car experienced the same failure in the transmission. A trusted mechanic friend verified the transmission was ruined and needed to be repaired or replaced. This is on a 2008 Honda Accord! Please be aware that this garage DOES NOT use the transmission fluid recommnded by the Honda maker. Spare yourself the grief and unnecessary repair bills. read more

Spend your money somewhere else. I specifically came in and told them to replace the right wheel bearing.They test drove it told me it was the left wheel bearing i had replaced myself the day before. I told them it was a new bearing and was told that it might be defective. I got my car back and specifically asked if the bearing was still making noise when driven and they said they didn't hear any noise or vibration. I left in my car and the first thing I hear is the familiar roaring, howling noise of a bad bearing. I came back and took the mechanic that worked on it for a ride and I asked him how could they not hear that noise and vibration? He agreed and said if they want me to let them fix that too they could write it up. It was the right side bearing I had initially told them needed fixing when i came in. I know I was lied to about there being no more bearing noise, but i can't figure out if they're incompetent or just hustlers. They also kept blaming me for the bearing being bad because I did the initial work which i didn't appreciate. It doesn't matter who did what. I had a problem i needed fixed and they didn't deliver. On the bright side they don't charge much but now I know why. Your mileage may vary. read more
