I had to get 4 new tires on my Honda CRV and after calling all around DFW I found that Discount Tires had the best price! Dylan was super kind and helped us get the tires we wanted, insurance, and an alignment. One of my old tires still had some tread left so they allowed me to turn in my donut spare tire, and purchase a generic wheel to go with that tire for a full size spare. For 4 new tires, a new wheel, insurance on all 4 tires, labor, and alignment, it came out to $1250. I also spent 2.5 hours there from start to finish. Horrible experience. Had an appointment at 3:45 for low tire pressure, checked in on time. One hour later after watching new people walk in and leave with their flats fixed, inquired why the wait? said I was next. 20 minutes later they took my car in for a 10 minute fix. Came here a few months ago after running over a nail on the highway and made it to this saving grace just in time! Great location choice and a Kevin / the young men there seemed to be professional and respectful. Was very pleased with this experience until I went to get my oil changed today at a different business and they informed me the tire put on by this location had been done backwards. I climbed out of the car to see that indeed the verbiage "inside" was showing on the outside which can make the tire wear unevenly. I will NEVER EVER patronize this lousy, risky business. I have a family member who went here for a tire change and they never put his lug cap back on the rim. He also has a child and just so happen the tire came off while he was driving on the highway. I am honestly disgusted and disappointed in how this was handled and could of been way worse. Came in Saturday afternoon when we had a tire shred while driving. It was around 4, it was pretty busy But it didn't take terribly long to speak with someone. the customer service was Excellent from the time we walked in the door. after inspection of our tires we actually need 3 tires, I went ahead and replaced all 4. It probably took an hour and a half total time to get everything done. Not bad considering how many cars were there already. they ended up not having the tires in stock I paid for so they upgraded me to the next level and did not charge me extra, they covered it. I had made an appointment for 8am one morning. The appointment didn't end up getting put in their system which I was unaware of. After waiting for longer than normal, I asked Cody (an employee of discount tire) why my car had not been serviced yet even though I had an appointment and showed him my confirmation. After he was aware that I did in fact have an appointment, he got my car in immediately and had a few guys working on it to get it done faster. Not his fault that the system didn't have my appointment in it but still a frustrating situation when it took double the amount of time as normal. Cody showed GREAT customer service by getting my car in quickly. I would still recommend this specific discount tire! I have used discount tire for years in different locations and have always been pleased with my service. Just make sure you can have proof of your appointment and show them! My boyfriend's tires needed to get replaced after he got a flat tire, but for whatever reason they put down the car's front windows when they did and couldn't get one of the windows back up and just returned his car like that with the window down. When asked about it, they wouldn't admit they had broken it and even accused that he might've rigged it to be like that before he came in. Avoid this place if you can - horrible customer service where they don't own up to taking some responsibility and now that's extra $$$ spent out of pocket to get the window fixed! read more

I'm lowering my rating because of their rebate issues. I was told about a rebate when I purchased my tires. I noticed it didn't fall within the date period and they told me there's essentially a 7 business day "pre-sale" so it'll still be accepted. Fast forward to actually trying to redeem said rebate. I tried to redeem it online. A week later I was informed it was not valid because it was outside the date range. I called the shop and they said you have to mail it in. You can't do it online and if that doesn't work, they'll refund my card. I mailed in the rebate form and my original receipt. Another week later I was informed it was rejected because it was outside the date range. By this point, I'm hella annoyed. I called the shop and told them and Chris seemed to get agitated with me and told me he would call the rebate facility and get them to push it through. I asked if they could just refund the amount to my card since that's what the previous employee told me they would do. He said no, he would call the rebate place and get it sorted out. I'll give it to them that it has supposedly been approved. In short, if you're trying to use a rebate that is clearly not within the term dates, be prepared to have to make numerous phone calls and rebate claims to get it sorted out. read more

First time coming to a Discount Tire, but after having a nail in my tire and this location being close to my workplace, I was able to go during my lunch break. I came in, gave some info and right away was given info on how long it would take and patching up my tire and mounting would be free of charge! Other places can charge up to $20, so I was very happy to hear this. The location is very well kept, and every customer that came up was treated very kindly with a smile and a hello, how can we help you. 30+ years ago, they used to be the best place in town. Then, they started the upselling, lying about the condition and what would fit on your car, suggesting the most expensive when cheaper and other options were available, and just making it a difficult process. I started prechecking my vehicle at other places and then going here to get tires because it's close to me. Each decade it gets a little worse until I'm now considering other places. They don't have the cheapest prices any more. If you have a couple days to wait for them to price match, they will, but why wait when another place has every day prices that are better and they have better reviews. It's disheartening to see them abuse the relation they built with customers. I'm one that isn't likely to stay. read more

5 Stars for new Tires - 3 Stars for thereafter I am a long time client of Discount Tire. As far as tires go wouldn't go anywhere else including adding air during seasonal changes. BUT - after getting my new tires - paying my bill and waiting for my car to be pulled up another mechanic from the shop approached me. Not the one I'd been working with (Rueben) and said did you know your tire pressure indicator isn't working??? I said nope. Worked fine all 4 never an issue. He said well you may want a new one and it's $65. So am I replacing it? I looked perplexed - and said what happened to it before I dropped off car all 4 perfect and I've paid my bill already? We stood there looking at each other and I didn't budge - told him again that seemed rather strange???? He said well let me try one more thing and let you know... within 2 minutes my car was out front and ready to go. I walked out and I said well is it broken and he said guess not I released some air and it appears to be working but keep an eye on it. For the record no issues thus far - The whole incident seems sketchy or shall we say a pause for thought to me and quite frankly if I told him just go replace it and not questioned the event I would have spent another $65 for nothing. Why didn't he just release air and see if it would work first before coming to me? I've been through 3 cars with this company albeit another location and I think il go back to it.
