Dishonest place that will nickel and dime you for $5. The mechanic told me he would fail my emissions test if he couldn't top off my coolant overflow tank. The coolant overflow tank level is not part of the emissions test. I don't recommend anybody come here. read more

Their mechanic broke my AC evaporator. He was supposed to change out one spark plug and he laid on the ac lines while doing the switch. As I pulled my vehicle out of their bay there was a weird noise and the ac stopped blowing cold and was leaking the freon. The guy started avoiding responsibility and saying his guy was a professional and. they would have to open it up and make sure something else didn't cause it. I had my regular mechanic do the job and fix their negligence , since the owner was, avoiding accountability. I own business with a fleet and was considering letting them have our maintenance. I went to them for 2 tires and an alignment. One tire kept getting screws in it and they fixed it once. It happed right again, same tire, same place (only had the tire less than 2 weeks). I decided to have my daughter (her car and she is only 17 years old) take it elsewhere to check. She took it to a Discount Tire where her friend works. They said that the tire had little tread and it was not worth repairing. They said that they sold a defective tire and ripped me off. I called the place to tell him and pointed out that it was a defective tire according to Discount tire. I asked him if it was ok to sell a tire like that for 45 dollars? He said "We buy used tires as is and F you!" That is the customer service I received from this jerk! WARNING: No warranties on the tires! Go at your own risk. And the customer service sucks! BTW: Discount tire also said that the alignment they did was not right, but redid it for free because they felt bad for me and my daughter getting ripped off by this sad excuse for a shop. And they are not a certified shop, so it will void a warranty if you go there for other work also. I would stay far away. read more

Since I moved to tx this is the place I go to get my car inspections. I also go for other fixes needed. They do a really great job and they a quick and honest people. I never walked out feeling like I was up-sold on a product that I don't need. read more

I hate auto shops. I really do. The service usually sucks, the prices are too high, and you feel you get lied to. Well, scratch that; my father brought me up working on cars, so I can definitively say they lie to you. So when I needed the front end of my car aligned and to get my yearly state inspection I was just looking for cheap, but not like Bob's-running-this-place-out-of-his-garage cheap. I found this place through a Val-Pak coupon ad. I wasn't expecting much, and the place isn't much to look at. They've got a bay for alignments with a lift and 2 standard garage bays for other work. Tires are everywhere; clearly with a name like Tire Zone and Auto Repair you expect a level of tire-focus and it abounds here. The standout here that is cause for the 4 star review is the service. The guys here are great. They clearly have a deep automotive knowledge, they are friendly, and they do what you ask them to do without the upsells. They'll alert you if they see something wrong, but they don't give you the "well, you're on a rolling death trap that could explode at any second" manipulation you get virtually everywhere else. I highly recommend the place, and for a guy who hates shops that says quite a bit! read more

I was totally impressed! I found a used tires for my Maxima for cheaper than anyone in Plano. Best of all the gentleman I spoke to on the Phone, which I believe was the owner, took the time to explain what all the numbers meant on the tire I was looking for. No shop I had called, about 10, took the time to explain anything but the price! The owner assessed my other tires for me and told me they were fine to drive on, he could have easily had tried to sell me more tires. I purchased the used tire, which was great quality, and they mounted and balanced it for me in 10 minutes. The staff I Met were pleasant and professional. They also sell new tires, and I will definitely be going there for all four! Highly recommend! read more

OK, so I brought my son's car to them. It had been cutting off with no warning. I get it there, they try to recreate the problem but are not able to. They could have told me some BS just to get some money, but again, they were up front and honest with us. They said they couldn't find anything wrong and to bring the car back if it happens again. It sucks when your car breaks down and you don't know where to go or who to trust. I was recommended to come to this shop and I was feeling a little uncomfortable about bringing my car here just based on appearance. I had yo remember it is a car shop not a spa or hair salon. My experience here with the owner and workers has been nothing but amazing. I brought three cars to them for different types of repairs. Oil change, repair to transmission, mileage sensor etc. I am truly impressed and would recommend anyone to this shop based on my experience. I came in for a repair on my tire on a 2003 Ford F-150. Two months prior I had bought from another person. I had a large bolt on the outside edge of the tire. It was discovered by a furniture employee. I was helping my son buy furniture. The furniture employee who was a former Discount Tire employee told me about the bolt and that I would positively have to buy another tire. Luckily for me the bolt was secure enough it did not leak air so I did not have to change tires. The former Discount employee stated he knew for a fact THEY would not begin to try to change it because of the closeness to the outside edge of the steel belt and the possible liabilities that might happen if not repaired properly. (I.E. buy me a new tire). Knowing this I looked for a small locally owned tire repair shop in Plano,TX. I found this place. The guys were pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful. Mike formally worked at Discount Tire and knew how the company operated. They repaired my tire very nicely and as of 1 week later have had no problems or leakage from the tire that was repaired. I decided to check my spare tire because of the close call with the possible flat tire due to the large bolt. The spare tire key did not come with the truck (That is another story). The spare was also flat. I took it to the Discount Tire thinking this large tire company would be able to have the key to lower and change my tire. WRONG! they did not have the key and also suggested I buy a new/used tire without even taking it down. I was able on my own to solve the problem lowering the tire. I took the same tire to Tire Zone and Auto Repair. They looked at it and said they could repair it, which they did!! Wow what a money saver these guys are compared to that other tire store!!! Please give these guys a chance to earn your business. I highly recommend them.! read more
