Absolutely horrible home inspection on my new house. I had to point things out during my inspection that Greg was not catching like a simple door bell not working. Moving into the house I have a list of 7 fundamental items such as windows not opening, dish washer clogged, AC , loose items such as toilets, lights broken. It was a pleasure working with this company under supervision of an experienced "Master Inspector" Gregg, which is a plus in this business. Gregg also has wide range of expertise in termite control and is a general contractor as well. He showed up prepared and on time(30minutes early). He answered all of our technical questions about the systems of this 2020 house with most patience and knowledge. His report was clear and colorful with good pics to explain the situation. The nicest person and best inspector! I cannot explain to you how impressed I am with Gregg. He came out and worked his tail off. I could not believe it when he handed me a thumb drive filled the report. That was a nice touch. Then- he explained every single thing that he found. He was amazing. He was highly recommended to us by our realtor, though, in hindsight, we should have researched a third party objective inspector. We ignored his racially insensitive comments about the sellers while he was chatting with our realtor, as our biggest concern was his ability to do a thorough job. He seemed well informed, experienced, confident, and we were initially really impressed with his work. We were satisfied with his written and verbal reports, and felt confident about recommending him to others. However, the more we discover about overt problems with the home that he did not disclose to us, the more we have come to realize that this home inspector did not do a thorough job and did not have OUR best interest in mind. We have come to realize that an easy profit and facilitating a home sale with his realtor buddy was in his best interest. These problems are not natural "wear-and-tear" that have come with use and living in the home. For instance, within the first week, we discovered the ice maker wasn't working and two significant, obvious pipe leaks when turning on a faucet in the guest bathroom and the master bathtub. We addressed those issues, at our own additional cost. We also recently we discovered that one of the smoke detectors did not have a battery in it nor was it even plugged in! Normal wear-and-tear would have involved replacing a dead battery. However, this blatant failure to report a smoke detector that was neither plugged in nor even had a battery (in our infant's room) is a significant safety concern. We dismissed the leaks, but failing to either check or report this put us in a lot of potential danger is something that I can't ignore. We feel deceived and our trust exploited. We are afraid of what other safety concerns he either skipped or failed to inform us, and we hope we discover it before a serious incident occurs. We will be warning any of our friends and coworkers in the process of home buying of him and his company. read more

We had Gregg Traum perform our home inspection when purchasing our house this past April. His reviews were great and he was recommended by our realtor so we figured we couldn't go wrong. Boy were we wrong! Turns out the guy missed a "live" illegally placed gas line in our backyard that not only runs to an old pool heater but directly into our house as well. The line wasn't hard to miss either lying directly on the ground, rotting away. I was told it was a non-functioning line, which is a whole other story. Gregg missed this huge safety hazard putting myself, unborn child, husband, animals, and contractor at risk. And, when confronted regarding his inability to notice the obvious he denied any responsibility stating he is not responsible for code violations. I quickly reminded him he had no problem citing code violations when noting an out of code pool drain on his report. I do believe he and all inspectors are responsible for noting safety hazards, especially hazards that are in place sight. Avoid this company and Gregg Traum, much like he has avoided any responsibility for his poor inspection. read more
