Obvious an oily spill after drying after a few days
    Mark M.

I purchased a 14 panel solar system from these people 8 yrs ago and was mislead from the start by being told I would have no bill other than a true up (average around $700 a yr so I guess they miscalculated how many I actually needed ) once a yr for using more electricity than my system produces...woops they forgot to mention the MID meter charge that went from $21 a month to $31...OK so I guess I was suppose already know that...I noticed a brown spot on one of my solar panels a few weeks ago so I called them for the first time since I purchased them...I was charged $250 to come out to look at it and also a $10 fee for using a debit card ...seems they try to gouge you every way the can think of... anyhow after a few days of waiting with no response I noticed that the brown spot was disappearing so I came to the conclusion it must be an oily spot from spilled jet fuel flying above no other explanation how it got there...so after looking at my inverter and noticed that the screen was not lit I thought that I could save the $260 if I could get someone to help me troubleshoot the problem at which time I was communicating with Greg the boss and explained the screen issue at which time Greg gave me the most vague instructions on how to turn the screen back on... he was saying that there is a blueish green button below the screen that needed to be pushed to activate the screen and at the position I was standing it was not visible to the eye so instead of further explaining that the button was hidden underneath a 2 inch gap between the screen and bottom part of the inverter (which would have made it too easy to find to the average person who has no knowledge about the inverter ) he had his guy come out at the last minute after he sensed that i was trying to troubleshoot the sceen light myself so the guy come to push the button himself so he could keep the $260 ... what honest customer service right ? So the guy walks through my gate and pushed the hidden button where it was located and looked at the brown spot and he came to the same conclusion as I did that it was so kind of oil spill... he left after 5 minutes and so later I emailed Greg to say that I could have pushed the button myself without his guy coming out to my house and would he consider waiving the $260 fee because of the fact he gave me the most vague directions on where to find the hidden screen display button...he responded with acknowledging yes I know the communication about finding the button was rather vague but he did come out at the last minute to the push the button for me and look at the oily spill spot from the ground level only to have the same guess as I did so he offered to send me back a check for $50... it just seems rather greedy to me to not refund at least half the money after spending 21k to have their company install my solar system so I just said send whatever you think is fair Greg at which point I have yet to receive any kind of refund after 2 wks ... is this the kind of scandalous company controlled staff you want to deal with ? I wish I wouldn't have gave them the business... Even after suggesting to pay off the system last year I found out that you do not get out of paying the interest rate weather you pay in full or make monthly payments for the next 20 yrs they WANT YOUR MONEY !! So it's a costly investment with poor customer service ... I hope this might help someone else avoid choosing to make the same mistake as I did... check out other solar businesses with more honest helpful customer service.

Emails from Gus in September and now it's November with no call back from anyone. I also copied the Service Dept.

Robert C. came to my home and went over the advantages of adding a few more panels that would still keep me in tier 1 status with the power company as well as consideration of adding a Powerwall III battery. Considering the increased power generating capacity of newer panels and storage capability of the Tesla battery, I was sold by the quality and value of the expanded system. The design and contract review was done online in a timely fashion and it was a swift transition to installation taking place in just one day, as the the lead installer (Antonio) was joined with two co-workers who explained how the project would move forward and answered all my questions. The work was complete by 3pm and I was extremely satisfied with the entire process. Thank you Semper Solaris for a quality job for a fellow veteran. Dan

Semper was very professional and gave us a reasonable price and guidance for tax credits at that time. Ken from Semper Solaris came over and we considered all the options and we received some credits for our loyalty. The entire team has been very professional and clean up afterwards everyday they've worked. Love the new roof and gutters!

The many moving parts to our residential solar plus battery system, including the various entities, such as PG&E, Tesla, City inspectors, and the financial backers we opted to use all progressed seamlessly and, for us effortlessly, thanks to hard working individuals behind the scenes. In particular, Skyler could not have been more helpful, managing our project and acting as a point of contact. Others included David in sales who demystified the process, Varon who coordinated with the utility to ensure we met all requirements, and Gino, who collaborated with Maxwell Power (formerly HDM Renewable Finance), the clean-energy company that helped finance our residential system. On site, the design and install team did a great job keeping things simple. The entire system, including battery and thirteen panels, was installed according to Ramiros's expert design within just four hours. Good quality hardware was used to tie to the roof, which was inspected by our roofer and given a big thumbs up for not causing problems. But even before that, David our site survey tech, gave us the sense that all would proceed well, as he collected necessary data by drone, and made a favorable first impression with his personable approach. Toward the end of the multi-month process, which included time to get a new roof installed, we passed city inspection with YES tech, Dario, an extremely courteous young man, present to ensure we made it through that last step and PTO (permission to operate). YES has an excellent and well-deserved reputation because of these people and others who worked on our behalf. The company can do better automating some of the process, and to be fair, they say they are working on transitioning to a CRM software solution for this purpose. But, I can say that over a period of several months, I had excellent communication with many helpful people. Skyler in customer service was my primary contact and that made all the difference. My thanks to YES for helping us make this wonderful and complex project a reality. We love our new YES-backed system and look forward to working with the company again in the future.

I can't say enough good things about the team, especially Andy, Carter, and Manny. From the very beginning, Andy was professional, responsive, and genuinely committed to finding a solution. He took the time to explain what was going on with my older system and walked me through the repair options without any pressure or sales tactics. Carter and Manny handled the installation schedule and repair work, and their knowledge and experience were immediately obvious. My solar system is over a decade old, and many companies would have simply tried to sell me a completely new system. Instead, they carefully diagnosed the problem, sourced the right equipment, and got my existing system operating again. Their attention to detail, workmanship, and pride in their work were impressive. What stood out most was the customer service. Every question was answered, communication was excellent throughout the process, and the entire team treated my home with respect. It's rare these days to find a company that combines technical expertise with genuinely outstanding customer care. The system is now producing power again, and I'm thrilled to see my solar investment back in action. If you have an older solar system that needs repair, or if you're looking for a company that truly stands behind its work, I highly recommend Your Energy Solutions and their entire team. Thank you all for your professionalism, honesty, and dedication. Five stars well deserved!

Our technician, Wes, was very professional, on time and easy to talk to. He came out and checked the unit (we needed a different fuse) and turned the unit on and got it running. I was very happy with the service from the ladies in the office to Wes our technician. Just a heads up, they have a monthly maintenance plan ($12.95 a month) that they will try and sell you. It includes an annual check of your A/C unit and of your heater. Any additional work or service calls are then 20% off. Just an FYI, if it is a good deal for you, then I would suggest getting it, if not, they will still service you. Thank you Honey's for making our experience a Sweet One!

PG&E will need to upgrade transformer (December ???) before we can send greater that 2000 watts back to the system. We were interested in solar for our 1940s home and provided a deposit in good faith. However, after further inspection of our roof and the overall project viability, we decided not to move forward. When we requested our deposit back--before any equipment was ordered or installation began--the company initially refused, claiming it was 'passed' the point of a refund. It was a high-pressure situation where we felt they were trying to lock us into a contract we weren't comfortable with. While we did eventually receive our deposit back after pushing the issue, the initial refusal to return funds for work not performed was a major red flag. Homeowners should be very careful with the fine print here. If you are looking for a company that values transparency and customer comfort over just 'closing the deal,' I would suggest looking elsewhere. We're glad we didn't get stuck with them and are instead putting that money into improvements that actually fit our home.
