This establishment is no bueno...avoid it all costs! I came in this past Wednesday for a pedicure and the place was completely dead and only had two workers. The younger lady walked up front and told my friend that she needed to wear a mask which is fine but this worker didn't have a mask on herself so that confused me. She then went to a nail station and put on a mask. While my friend was looking at colors, she asked if we still wanted to get pedis...it almost felt like she or they didn't want to work or didn't want us there. I almost felt like walking out but decided to give it a try. I barely had time to look at what color or pedi package I wanted because I was rushed so I just chose classic pedi and grabbed a polish. This was $30. Surprised they did not try to up sell me to gel as my friend was getting gel. FYI gel was an additional $20 added on to any package. When I sat down in my chair, the older lady that had me did not say hello or talk to me the whole time. She moved my chair back but did not turn on the massage. When I asked if they were going to shave the bottom of my feet, the younger lady responded that's $10 more and I said okay I want it. However, they did not provide this service nor charged me. I was confused the whole time if my lady was going to get around to shaving my feet but she didn't. Now on to the actual polish...what the heck (see pic). For what this place charges, they need to offer better customer service, quality work and drinks. I can go to Kim's nails and get way better service for about the same price and they treat you with kindness and offer drinks. They are way better places that 1st Nails. Whoever management is, needs to have a coming to Jesus moment and fix this place up. Over all, I was totally disappointed and won't be back. If you're going to do a crappy job, at least be nice! These workers were totally rude!

I've been to this nail salon twice now as I like to give benefit of doubt to establishments. First visit was a full set and a pedicure. Today's visit consisted of a fill and a pedicure. Brian did my fill today as well as the full set on first visit and he does not disappoint. Now, let's talk pedicures....ugh! The young lady did my pedicure today and I'm truly disappointed........ pictures to come and you all know, pictures don't lie. I'm not sure what else to say about this, but absolutely horrible. I did not notice how bad it was until I got home or I definitely would have said something to her. Just as a FYI..... the prices they have posted do not reflect what they will charge you ( at least that is my experience on 2 separate visits ) so beware of that as well. Today was my definitely my last visit as I said I like to give establishments benefit of the doubt, but just cannot pay for a pedicure for it to turn out like this! I didn't want to give a 1- star rating since I was happy with the full set at first visit and fill today by Brian!

I went in for a simple nail removal with only acetone. The woman that worked on my nails was older with a Bob haircut. I requested only acetone, but she was in a hurry even though I was the only person in the shop so she alternated between the acetone and the nail drill. One of my nails were cut down to the skin and instead of her treating it she decided to try and clip my SKIN off with the nail clippers until I jumped then she mocked me and cut my thumb nail down to the skin out of spite. I will never go back to this place. It is my second time going and there will not be a third

Look at how detail oriented Brian is! I called ahead to schedule an appointment and was pleasantly impressed at their cleanliness. The gentleman handling appointments is also the sweet man who greets you at the door. So professional, kind and courteous. Having not had my nails done in quite some time, I pulled up a picture of what I was looking for - almond short-medium nails, and Brian did a phenomenal job. Take a look for yourself! I was a bit concerned to go here after seeing the mixed reviews, but honestly, I don't understand the negativity. I came in shortly after they opened on a Saturday morning for a gel manicure. I was seating right away. I chose my color from their plentiful selection of gel polishes, and someone began to remove my old gel. Once the gel was removed, another employee came to do my manicure. In spite of multiple broken nails, they were able to even put the length of all of my nails without cutting them all the way down. The manicure was pretty quick, and they did a great job. One week later, and my nails still look perfect. No signs of chipping or peeling. Plus, they have great prices! Will come again.

I just got a polish change on my toes. I asked for French tip and it is probably the worst job I've ever seen. It's so uneven and the girl didn't even want me to look at my nails to correct it. I paid $30 including a tip. Way too much for what I received.

Way over priced, sloppy job, and nail tech had such a bad attitude. He kept sucking his teeth an any little request I made as if I was majorly inconveniencing him. It made me uncomfortable enough to not say anything when I didn't like something he did on my nails. The edges of my nails are extremely sloppy the picture shown is 3 days after they were applied and they still look sloppy . Not to menrI was charged 85 for a removal of my old nails and application of the new nails. Never again

Tom did such a great job with my hombre nails! Exactly what I wanted and they lasted 3+ weeks.

Good customer service, clean, serves wine...what's not to like? I've been going to 1st nails for about two years now and have always come out liking my nails/toes. They use the covers over the tubs on the pedicure stations. I'm impressed with how clean they keep the salon. The only downside to this place is if you are a last minute person like myself and do not have an appointment, be prepared to wait.

Tom did my nails and they are so perfect they look unreal in the best way. Definitely found my new place. Asked for ombré and got the perfect pink to white ratio and the coffin shape is flawless.

Worst pedicure I've ever had. In and out within 20 mins. The lady didn't even scrub my feet. She was so impatient she kept messing up on my nail polish and had to paint twice. Wont be back!

I am torn with my rating due to It is positive and negative. First time in I absolutely hated the woman who did my nails.. Don't remember her name. I gave this salon a 2nd chance & went in a 2nd time....Tom did my new set. I was pleasantly happy, the price was cheaper then my primary nail salon & he did it in under an hour. I go in again for my 3rd time....4-6 weeks later to get a pedicure without an appointment... They sat me down in a massage chair, got my feet into the water which by the way burned & they left me there .... They made me wait 55-60 minutes in cold water before getting to me! I was so pissed by 35-40 mins in but I was in a bind.. So I allowed them to do my shellac pedicure that almost cost $50 ... Salons are starting to charge to "cut your nails down" that's an addition $3-5 dollars & the "shellac colors" for a manicure $12-15 additional dollars & $15 - $18 for pedicure.... I could go buy a bottle @ Ulta for $12-15... A whole bottle. Just because another salon put shellac on my toes your going to change me an addition $10 to take off the color as well??.... Plus I am then paying $45-50 for a fresh pedi... Ridiculous. The prices change EVERY TIME I go in here... I deliberately one time wrote down the "prices" on the card he gave me & the next time in the price switched... So, go in TODAY... My 4th time. I made an appointment on a Wednesday afternoon for 1045-11am due to I'm thinking people are at work. There are 4 workers and 6 woman... Totally understaffed. Tom made me wait with an appointment this time and yet again.....Another 30 minutes before he could get to me. Mind you this is just for a fill. He rushes to me to start working on my nails, leaves 2 woman in chairs waiting for pedicures & a woman who's been in the salon for 1-1.5 hours at a chair waiting to get her hands done... He did my fill in a mind blowing 22 minutes with minor errors such as scuffed polish, uneven nails, ect.. I felt his hands shaking to rush through my fill. I don't pay you $30-50 dollars for a shit job & I sure the hell don't tip 20-25% for making me wait 1hr or even for that matter giving me crap work on my hands.... As I was getting my fill a woman was just as pissed as I was from my last visit....she got up and left with tinfoil on her fingers due to she probably almost waited 2 hours... I will not be going my back due to lack of staff, lack of compassion & because I can pay the same damn price at my primary salon and get better quality service and work done on my nails.. Sorry. This is why in Austin, Texas I suggest 3 nail salons to rotate between. So inconsistent. Highly considering taking my fake nails off next month for this reason. Hope my review put some spot light on the industry.

***Lengthy Review*** Unfortunately 1st Nails has failed my expectations for the 3rd and final time. I was a bit upset because of the following situation- 1st Nails opens at 11am on Sundays, after doing my morning Sunday errands I decided to stop by to get a manicure. I showed up about 5 min before opening & decided to wait in my car until I saw the owner or opener unlock the doors and allow customers inside. At 11am I expected for somebody to open up the front door and allow people to come in but there was nobody opening any door at that time. I noticed other customer also waiting in their cars for opening. Around 11:05 I began to call the store to see if somebody was inside and possibly over looked the time etc. There was no answer. I called again and continued to call for the next 5 minutes, again no answer. I saw some customers starting to walk to the front door and wait at the door. 11:20 rolls around and STILL the doors are locked and there's no sign of an employee. It is VERY unprofessional for a shop to state their business hours and not abide by them. You don't see Target or any other business state they open at a specific time & don't even open till the employee decides they want to come in. You especially don't have just 1 opener. Typically there is a team of openers so that way the store can open properly and ensure services are being taken care of for all customers ESPECIALLY on a weekend when you know it's your busiest time. I decided to walk to the front of the building and ask the other patrons that were also waiting if they knew why the shop is closed when business hours state the shop opens at 11am. One of the ladies actually had the personal cell # of either the owner or one of the technicians and called to ask if the shop was going to open or where the employee was at. 11:30 comes and FINALLY an employee shows up rushing to the front door to unlock it and allow us in, she was also exclaiming the excuses she had of why she is late stating "traffic got her". I completely understand things happen and sometimes you have to show up 5min late but to me 30 minutes is ridiculous especially if you are the opener and nobody is able to get services done because you are late. Once the employee let all 6 of us that were waiting inside in she had us sit and asked "who is First" the lady who was First was in side of SNS service which the technician decided to say to her rude and abruptly "I don't know how to do SNS so you will have to wait for someone else to come in and do it for you". As I was saying she was the only technician and there was 6 of us needing services and the tech said she was unsure when the other person was going to be in therefore she didn't know the wait time. At that point I decided to leave and not waste anymore time here. The 3rd and final straw happened today. I wanted to give 1st Nails one more try before I decided I no longer wanted to give them my service. I called at 11:30am to ensure the salon was open especially because of the Easter Holiday. The technician told me they were open and I set an APPOINTMENT for 12:00pm. I got to the salon about 5 min before my appointment time so I did wait and of course they only have 2 techs working on the WEEKEND. I told the tech I made an appt for 12 & he (Tom) told me to wait a few more min due to the fact that yet again another employee did not show up for work that morning so they are short staffed. If you continuously have personnel problems wouldn't you think to possibly fix the problem and let go of those employees or change your business hours to a time that can better accommodate your employees schedule?? I waited until 12:20 and Tom finally got to me, which ended up being a bad nail service when typically he is one of the best. Tom rushed through and he was done with my FILL/GEL set by 12:35. I asked for a cut down and reshape, my nails do need to be short Bc I do type every day for my job. I asked Tom to shape my nails in an almond shape but keep them short he then told me that short almond shape nails are not cute and do not look good the way I like them. (Which is the way I get them all the time but only when he does my nails is where there's an issue with the length/shape I'm requesting.) To accommodate Tom I told him to go ahead and cut them short and instead do an oval shape. Tom then painted my nails so crappy and had me flinging my hands in and out of the UV light source. I chose a light pale pink color and in the pics you can tell he didn't paint them evenly and there are a few empty spaces of paint, you can also see that he did not clean up my cuticle area at all. I did not get the shape I wanted, the length I wanted. The gel is bumpy in some areas and messy. I am not one the complain ever but I am so baffled by the experience I had that I wanted to share. Everyone has their own experience and you may love 1st nails but my journey has ended with them and I will no longer come back.

Horrible! Wish I could get my money back. The place needs a good cleaning and the sanitation needs to be implemented here! I look like I have blue bricks on my nails and my toes are painted horrible. I got dip on my nails and it's not smooth, all over my cuticles also. Wish I would've paid attention before I left this place. Will never go back and don't recommend you do either read more

SUPER CLEAN!!!! They have individual containers for the scrubs and lotions so it's not a big container with tons of germs. Also the pumic stones and nails files are one time use, like they're supposed to be! They put plastic in the tubs too. Nails look great, had some wine and they set timers for your massage so you know they're doing it the whole time. This place is a little farther than the one I used to go to but it's so worth it. My first time at this salon and it was just horrible. I attempted to go in twice in 1 day and they still failed. The first time I went in, the people after me got sat down before me. I sat down for nearly 45 minutes and still no one even started my manicure. So I up and left. The second time after hours of passing I attempt to head back.. They did sit me down as soon as I walk in knowing I had left earlier. The ask everyone but myself if I wanted a beverage. I tell one lady what I had wanted a Gel full set. Thinking she was going to tell the person doing my nails.. WRONG. The First Lady gave me a hand massage and did my cuticles. She leaves. The second lady comes and basically does the same thing. I tell her what I wanted, which was the full set. She nodded then she starts to paint my nails with the color and NO NAIL. So I tell her.. This is what I wanted she then talks to the owner and the owner starts to tell me that is not what you said. I, being already frustrated stated that I did and my sister even told her as well. She said okay, both of the ladies left and started working on other people and left me there sitting by myself. So I up and left. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. Would not recommended. read more

This place is tucked away in Southpark Meadows near the Sam's Warehouse. You probably would never notice it, unless you made a stop to Sam's (which is how I discovered it). The place is clean, comfortable, and the owners are very nice. They offer you water, drinks, wine during your stay and free wi-fi as well as movie/tv entertainment while you get you manicure or pedicure. The only constructive criticism I would give this place is that I would have preferred a deeper/more firm leg/foot massage, but that is just my massage type preference when it comes to that portion of the pedicure. The massage portion always varies by who you get and some customers may prefer a more gentle massage. Other than that everything was great! read more

Terrible customer service and ugly looking nails...I had been a loyal customer for several years buy I noticed about 6 months ago that the service and end result were getting worse and worse each time I went, at times it were outright rude. Especially when you point out things you don't like while they are doing your nails/feet. My nails used to stay on for months which was different from any other salon. However lately they have been falling apart breaking cracking and completely losing my nail after 24 to 48 hours. I called the manager Brian, and spoke to him about my bad experiences and he became angry and irrate hanging up on me for asking him for a refund or a redo for my nine-year-old's nails thru did which I paid $45 to ensure the polish woul stay on for at least 2 weeks and for a Mani pedi, which they didn't even massage or rub her feet with lotion. Well it did after less than 48 hours. Further, my sixteen-year-old nails cracked in the middle immediately leaving the nail shop and my ombre was done with a peach colored tint that looks horrible and when I address that as well he became angrier saying I should have told the technician immediately but he didn't understand and didn't let me explain was I had no idea that there was two different color of ombre they've always done the same color how would I know that the color they were putting on me wasn't going to come out the same color they've always done them. when I asked him this he became angry and hung up on me very unprofessional very rude just like the rest of the staff and I wondered why the place was empty when I got there the last few times but now I know perhaps everybody else is realized how down to the ground this place is gone. the funny thing is I used to say well they is bad service but good nails now it's bad service and terrible nails do not waste your time do not waste your money do not to go there because it's convenient and you may get an in and out faster but remember a place that's empty is a place that no one goes to for a reason. I was given a gift certificate for myself and my 2 daughters to receive manicures and pedicures from 1st nails. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because my girls enjoyed their experience. When I arrived on Monday afternoon it was pretty empty but all 4 or 5 of the techs were with clients. They set us up in the pedi chairs and started on my daughters relatively quickly. I sat with my feet in the water for about half an hour before a guy rushed in from outside straight to the back and came back with a tray of stuff and some gloves. I can only assume they called him in because it had gotten busy. He was very rushed to begin with. My gift certificate was for their super mamma jamma pedi that was $63. He started hacking away at my toenails without even asking if I wanted them trimmed or filed or anything. I had just gotten a pedicure last week so my nails were actually perfect. I only went in because of the gift certificate. Now they're super short, but whatevs, they'll grow. No biggie. The next bit, however.. Sheesh.. He whipped out his giant cheese grater thing and started going to town on my heels. The whole time he wasn't really even paying attention, he was turned around chatting with the other techs. Then he moved to my big toe and, still with only half his attention on my feet started grating away like I had hooves instead of callouses. Needless to say he took a giant chunk out of the side of my toe. Blood was shed. I actually had to point it out to him though, he was that distracted. THEN he decided it was a good idea to continue with the foot scrub that is the obvious next step when someone has a gaping cheese grater wound on their foot. To top it all off the paint he applied is already chipping from my nails when it hasn't even had time to be removed from my skin where he left it around my toenail. Oh, but I did get my pedi reduced from $63 to $45 without having to ask. Guess I should be thankful for that. I didn't even bother to get the mani, I just wanted to get the hell out of there. Being a hairdresser I don't like to leave negative reviews for places like this because I know they need business just like I do. Your reputation is everything in this business. They really need to get it together though. It was a horrible experience for me and now I have to deal with pain standing on my feet at work for the next week or so while I heal. I'll stick with my regular nail tech from now on. Guess that's what I get for straying. Sorry Theresa! read more

This is my 5th time coming here, and it will be my last. I showed the nail tech a picture of exactly why I wanted, and he said he could do it. He ended up passing me to another person to do the nail art, and she didn't even finish the job. The shellac is also very sloppy on the colors, and they left clear shellac all over my fingers. Lots of mistakes on the shape of my nails as well. $38 for something I'm not even remotely satisfied with. read more

Bad customer service, poor management, and unprofessional. I made an appointment with Cindy because of the reviews on here but I'm extremely disappointed and unhappy with her work. I made an appointment for 6:30 PM with her for shellac mani/pedi. I got there early, they told me to pick a color by pointing their fingers to where the color samples were at and directed me to sit in a chair. After soaking my feet for 30 minutes and the water getting cold, no one bother to ask me anything. I don't think they understand the concept of making an appointment Cindy finally made her way to me after 45 minutes in and proceeded to work on me while running back to tend other customers. She did a sloppy job with the cuticle trim and paint job. She somehow got RED nail polish on my fingers while I'm requesting to have a white set. I pointed out to her and she started to talk trash about me in Vietnamese, not knowing I can understand. Saying that I'm picky and difficult. Excuse me, if I want a crappy job then why would I go to a nail salon? She rushed throughout the whole process and ended up forgetting to put the final clear top coat on my nails. When I reminded her about it, she was defensive and said she did then proceeded to wipe my nails off with alcohol and realized it wasn't cured with the top coat yet. Not once did she apologize for her horrible, unprofessional, sloppy job. She is by far the worse nail tech I've ever been to. Terrible attitude and rude. The whole thing cost me $71. I could have done a much better job myself but I was pressed for time, hence I went to First Nail. If anyone is looking to get ripped off, having nail tech talks crap about them in Vietnamese, and getting ugly nails then go to First Nail. Otherwise, please try where else and save yourself some money and distress. WORSE NAIL SALON I'VE EVER BEEN TO MY ENTIRE LIFE. read more

The worst experience I have ever had at any nail salon... and I've had some bad experiences... Tom rushed my manicure and did a pathetic job and the lady that did my pedicure literally soaked my feet put hot towels on my legs barely scrubbed my feet and painted nails nothing more nothing less and literally ran to her purse and RAN out of the store.... I didnt even know if I was done or what was going on def no cleaning up cuticles massage nothing I'd complain more about it but the toe nails dont look horrible... thankfully i had clipped my toe nails a bit before i went just in case this happened and took some of the dead skin off... the manicure was the even worse than the pedicure... tom came over and told him what I wanted which was sns manicure medium length not too short or long and he insisted that was not a good idea he said the size of my nails was fine and I told him no I wanted them longer I was going to a wedding the next day and I didnt want stubby short nails he said nope it would be better short so I said fine do whatever he said yeah that's better for you... cuz itll cost more if you want longer.... seriously... ughhh once he was done I just knew I shouldn't have even stepped foot in this place... no cuticles cleaned up, no shaping or evening of my nails, or the slightest bit of a manicure procedure... if I could give 0 stars.. WORST COSTUMER SERVICE EVER! I've been a loyal costumer for years and the one time I have a problem with my nails they are not only rude, but blame me for ruining them. Gel nails are not supposed to blacken around the edges after 2 days. You also don't fix them by filing the black off and immediately painting over the nails, thickening the overall nail with 4-5 coats of bumpy polish. This is my absolute favorite nail salon! After moving to Austin a few years ago I was in desperate need to find a nail place I could trust and that was affordable. I stumbled across 1st nails on a trip to Southpark Meadows and I am so glad that I did. Nail techs are all amazing and attentive and give you 5 star service every time. This nail salon was awesome when it first opened a few years ago. Now? Not so much. They are understaffed and never give a wait time for services. I know yesterday I saw someone sitting in water for almost an hour before getting service. I went in for a pedicure. Wasn't sure if I wanted to do a manicure, but know for sure I wanted a pedicure. They are part of the Spot On points system, and I knew I had enough points for an upgrade, so I got the deluxe pedicure. Once my pedicure came to an end, the lady doing my service told me that she didn't have time for a manicure because they are so busy and I should go back another day. OK, whatever, first time I was ever turned down for a service. Once I was finished drying, I went to pay and told them I had a free upgrade. I was told "Next time. You can do it next time. You tell me before the service next time." Instead of paying $26 for my pedicure, I ended up paying $37. This is the second time that has happened to me. I don't understand why I have to tell them *before* my service that I have free upgrade. Will my service be different because of it? They now have signs all over the salon asking for tips in cash to "help them avoid credit card processing fees." Well, when you accept credit cards, that's just part of it. I rarely carry cash, so I have to make an extra stop somewhere to get cash before getting any services. Honestly, if I'm going to go through all that trouble and pay that much for a service, I might as well go to Embellish or one of the other boutique nail salons. read more

I could tell that there are probably some very experienced and skilled technicians working at this establishment. However, when I came in for a quick pedicure, instead of telling me that there would be a wait, they assigned me an incompetent, untrained technician who spoke no English, took an hour to do a basic pedicure, and who did not know how to do a basic buff and shine instead of polish. I had to interrupt another technician and ask her to do my buff and shine, because mine, even after apparently being told what the steps were, was clearly completely clueless and was doing it totally wrong. It would have been more professional if they had told me how long it would take before a properly trained person was available, and let me choose to go somewhere else. If they had done that, I might have at least considered trying them out some other time when I was shopping at Southpark Meadows. Now I will never go back. A spa experience should be relaxing, but this was uncomfortable and stressful. read more

This is the first pedicure that I have ever had, where they did not use a pumas Stone to exfoliate. There was a slight use of a grate, but my feet feel no different. I spent an hour to get my toe nails painted. Now I need to go somewhere else for soft feet. read more

4th time I've come here where I've asked to tech to make sure she applies coats evenly to cover the nail from edify to edge. Each time I leave paying over $50 a session with a boot so great job. How many times do I have to state what I want? They are in such a hurry to get the job done that they don't provide you with a quality job and then they get mad at you and passively aggressively Talk to themselves in Vietnamese scowling about you because you asked for the job to be done a certain way. Never coming back. Oh and good luck trying to get matching gel and toes colors - they don't have that. read more

I can't remember the woman's name who did my nails, but she was very thorough and I'm very happy with my acrylic set. I'm writing this review as I sit here waiting for my toes to dry... So in the reviews, I've seen people say they've been offered a variety of refreshments once they have sat down to begin their services.. Not once was I asked if I wanted a refreshment. I didn't say anything because MAYBE this option was discontinued. Nope! As I'm being walked to the dryer, two gentlemen sit down and immediately are asked if they want a refreshment. So i politely ask my nail tech "why wasn't I offered a refreshment?" She rudely says "we don't have refreshments!" "Ma'am, but I just heard that lady tell those two gentlemen they have an option of water, margaritas, or wine" She then IMMEDIATELY begins to give me the run down off the refreshments that they offer. This is a tucked away place- in southpark meadows by sam's behind gatti town. Easy to miss. Glad I found them. My 2nd visit. Got fills last time. This time got a pedi and nail art on my big toes and hands. I showed some pinterest pins of easter nail art and she did a great job. She took care of a tricky ingrown toenail with minimal pain and my toes look great! My only negative is that i wish she would have given me more scraping on my heels. Went in thinking I chose a $26 service and some how got charge $40 for a really sloppy service. I had two ladies which was a hassle because the first one was taking too long and not doing a good job so she was asked to leave by an employee and then the second lady was rude and wouldn't slow down which resulted in the polish on my nails not covering all of each nail. The ladies were rude and didn't know English. Save your gas, money, and time. read more

I normally go to a different salon, but wanted somewhere close my home considering I went right during prime traffic time (5:30pm) so I stopped by here. They say me right away and Tom did a excellent job on my nails. First time going with coffin nails as apprised to the squared off style and I love it. He was so fast that I had to think back to his steps to assure myself that he didn't miss any. I didn't much care for the environment of the salon, and they were under staffed. If it were busy I wouldn't stop there at all. read more

$213 for rude service and terrible quality. As we prepared for my daughter wedding, a group of 3 of us went to get our nails done. Of course they try to sale the most expensive items and that's okay, they have a business to run. Well, there was one person there when we arrived and I explained what each of us wanted so they started with the first two and rushed them like there were 40 other customers in line waiting to be served, then it was my turn. I requested a full set manicure and asked the gentleman if it included towels on my arms and tapping on my shoulders and neck, he said yes so I bought the higher package. A friend came in and we began chatting about events and my daughter's wedding as they spoke in their own language loudly laughing and speaking amongst themselves. A few short minutes later that asked us to "shut up" basically as our conversation was too loud and bothering the customers, mind you at this point it was only 5 of them, the three of us and my friend who walked in and I hadn't seen in a while. I kindly advised that I didn't like being told to shut up especially since they were speaking louder than we were, laughing and giggling making it very uncomfortable for us to enjoy our services. Mid way, they moved me to the pedi chair and had two people working on me again, rushing as there were a line of people waiting for them. As the full set was almost done, I asked again about the towels and shoulder rub and he said "yes, I do hands first." He stuck my hands in the dryer and left. I thought he was coming back, meanwhile the 7 minute leg massage was more like 2 and when I asked she said "yes, I do for guy." But didn't. They guy never came back to finish my towels and rub and when I asked about it, the other male said "you not pay for that!" What the hell?? First you tell me to shut up, now you say I'm not getting What I paid for! To avoid any more confrontation, I let them finish up the crappy job they were doing. I paid $213 total and lost 2 nails the evening my daughters wedding, less than 24 later. If you want to be treated like a herd of cattle, get crappy service and be required to whisper like you are on the library? This is the place for you! Otherwise, don't waste your money on them. I'm not even going back to get my nails fixed because they suck! Lastly? They asked for tip, I said, never tell a customer they are talking too loud when you guys are rudely speaking a language other than English louder than the customer. No tip for you because I don't tip bad service. No wonder the place was empty..sheesh, that should have been red flag #1; Never again! Update: less than 72 hours in..one nail left in my right. I called and they said I'd have to pay to replace! Final update: a little over 72 hours in. All my nails popped right off. Didn't even realize it until I found them Sitting in my fridge floor. What the hell? Do not go. Terrible quality and service. The ONLY good thing I can say is that there is no scaling damage on my nail beds. Which is evidence of the crappy job they did! read more

Just left there, Tom did my nails. He was in such a rush, talked me out of getting regular polish, pretty much insisted I get shellac. I told him once that he was going too fast and he said yeah you're nails grow fast. Not what I said. Anyhow. Polish job is bad, you can totally see my natural nail through the polish, some nails are darker than others, my pinky nails is already lifting (I get acrylic). I asked to speak to the manager, guess what, Tom is the manager. I just walked out after paying. read more

I love this place! it's CLEAN which is my #1. They offer you beverage, ask about your day and take their time. I ask for Cindy usually but have had others. Cindy brings over 20 years of extensive industry experience to First Nail. Cindy is a self-motivated salon owner First Hair, started styling hair at the age of 18 in Vietnam. In 2006 she graduated Texas Cosmetology School and worked for several salons before purchasing the 1st Nail, her first salon. 1st Nail is now also known as First Nail. Cindy is truly excited about being the owner of her newly purchased salon because she loves what she does and plans to accomplish her dreams by continuing to be creative and innovative with each client. Realizing that her time is the one thing she can never recapture, Cindy is ever mindful of each client's time also. By her side is Tam, her husband, who has the same experience since they worked together for their beauty salon in Vietnam before migrated to the US in 2005. Tam is also the well-known talent Manicurist and Hair Stylist. Together Cindy and Tam would be the best couple in serving Nail Services in the area.

The only reason I bring this up is because typically, when you need to get your nails removed, they soak your fingernails for a few minutes to loosen the bond, then clip them off of your natural nails piece by piece. It was not communicated to me clearly that they did a different process to preserve the nail by slowly filing it down then soaking your nails, then slowly filing it down then soaking your hands times 11! Literally, it took over an hour and a half to get them removed. Nancy was rough with my fingers. She had sharp nails and dug them into my fingers while she was rolling them from side to side to work on my nails. It was painful and I tried to explain to her not to grip my fingers so tightly. She also cut my one of my cuticles. I know I have thin cuticles - I tried to explain that to her but she didn't understand. The manager should have stepped in and explained the process better and communicated to Nancy my complaints. They had me soak my nails for over 25 minutes with foil wraps before switching me out to have John be my new nail technician. John was wonderful. We were able to have a nice conversation and he did a great job. However, I did have an appointment I needed to go to and I was late to it because when I walked into the salon at 12:30, I had no idea it wouldn't be until 2:00 pm before that process was done. I came in as a walk in for a fill and the service Tom gave me was amazing !!! I knew what I wish my nails looked like but people always failed and would say it was because my fingers were not shaped right and other nonsense. I told Tom What I wanted and BAM! That's what happened. At a fair price. One of my visits a client had a complaint: it was sad because I was getting a pedi and had heard what she asked for then decided that's not what she wanted and she stormed out. Tom was sad and upset the rest of the time I was there - like he had let down his best friend or something. Rude girl. She left and didn't see the sadness she left behind. 1st Nails is a lovely nail salon and I highly recommend it. First and foremost, they are clean. The tools they use come out of sealed bags and have been sterilized. The salon itself is nicely decorated in an understated way, and the staff are very accommodating. They take walk-ins gladly, always smile and say hello, and offer a beverage (anything from water to wine). The quality of their work is fantastic - I've always been happy with my manicure (I get gel manicures) and the pedicures are super relaxing. They have many options that will make your feet happy: a regular pedicure, milk pedicure, citrus pedicure... these are the ones I've had and they're great. Their polish work is wonderful and they have no problem doing cute designs. I highly recommend 1st nails. read more

I also discovered this business while looking for a different salon. Like most of the rest, I was completely satisfied. The owners and staff were very accommodating. The hot, wet towels on my hands and feet were a nice treat. I agree that the massage and scrubs could be deeper, but everything else was amazing. The space is very tastefully decorated and open. It's a good distance from my house, but I will go back again for all of the amenities and the cleanliness. About the comment that they couldn't take that one customer, they did take me as a walk in, but possibly they had an emergency. I'd give them a second chance or schedule an appointment. I've had about 10 sessions here, and only once did I get outta there in less than 2 hours (for a standard mani-pedi). So I've definitely learned to only go on my days off work when I have absolutely no plans afterward. (( Plus as a chef that stands/walks/runs around on concrete floors for 12-16 hours at a time, an hour in a massage chair is totally OK with me! )) But other than taking a big chunk outta my day, I love this place! It's less than 5 minutes from my house and they have very pleasant decor & a great color selection. The nail technicians are very nice and not overly chatty. They've always taken the time to make sure I was happy with their work. An overall great experience! read more

Hello Yelp world! I never write reviews about any places because I hate to do the whole log in and subscribe deal. However I just had to let you all know about TOM he's amazing he has such great customer service and always does an excellent job... I have pictures of the solar nails he did, excuse the quality of the picture. I can't exactly take a picture of my own nails... Also the Nail spa is very clean and they use their autoclave machines!!! All the nail buffers and files are disposable so you don't have to worry about germs... I love this salon! I take my best friend here and we both love it. $43 for a wonderful and beautiful full set. Last visit my friend and I were given free little water bottles and the service was great. A little low on workers at the time we went but the guy working with us, named "Tom", was amazing! He works with great detail and makes sure the nails are just the way YOU want and this salon does many things that other salons dont and it makes a big difference. I needed to get my nails done very quick before work, and this place was the best!!! Even though they were a little busy, they were able to work me in and get me out to work on time. The owners are great and very polite to every person that walks in the door. They are very appreciative for every customer that returns from being told of the wait. I will never go anywhere else for a mani/pedi and shellac again!!! And not to mention their colors are clean kept and sooo many choices of shellac!!! read more

First off, I just wanna say that this nail shop is as inconspicuous as it gets lol. You barely notice the place coming into Southpark. The margarita was definitely well worth the wait! The place is clean and neat. Cindy was very nice and attentive. I got myself a treat with the pedicure along with the manicure, which turned out to be quite clean and good-looking! I'm a nail freak. After my nail tech of 6 years disappearing on me... I dreaded having to find a NEW salon and a NEW nail tech of my own. I tried this salon and Tom did my nails. This location is in South Park meadows near the Sam's. Tom is great he always takes his time and makes sure you are happy with shape, color, etc. I always only go to this location for manicures. They also offer pedicures, waxing and more. The environment is surprisingly peaceful consider it being in a shopping center. Love it here!!!! read more

I recommend the love milk manicure and pedicure. They definitely pay attention to detail here and spend the time to make sure you leave feeling and looking great. Holly is amazing!! I went in to get pink and white acrylics (otherwise known as solar nails) and she made sure the smile line was accurate. 1st Nails is by far the cleanest nail salon I've been to! Very friendly, really great quality chairs/stations, and love their work!
