    My dog, broken arm
    Cynthia F.

I dropped off my 5 month old puppy at 1pm they just called me and are sending me home with a dog with a broken arm!!! They wanted 1200!!!! After keeping her in that cage for over 8 hrs!!! It's 9pm they charge 250 just to be seen!!! Horrible place!! Heartless people.. update I found a wonderful place that I will be leaving a review on just around the corner from them who took my dog in for 150 did the two x-rays for 300 and the cast for two and also help me out on a payment program. Thank God, they're still good people out here.. some people just work at places to work there to get paid others worked there because they actually care.... If the voice is high-pitched, it's fake. This place basically abandoned my dog for several hours and had me pay over $400 just to bring her home with a broken arm not even an x-ray done. Nothing at all she just sat in that cage!!!

Well the good is they are convenient location for me. The bad Horrible communication We waited 30 mins before being seen No updates etc.. only to find out they had an emergency that's fine but there were two people sitting at the front desk that could have updated us. Then the vet sees him and we decide to do a ear wash and she was gonna draw up a sedative to give him We have been waiting ANOTHER 20 mins!!!!! Communication is horrible!!!!! I am big on Communication!!! Plus I have a very anxious easily stressed out and this visit has been very stressful for me and him!!!

    Happy dog

My dog was bit by a Rottweiler in his groin area. There was a very deep hole that tore through tissue making it a high risk wound. Took him here for an emergency visit. 2 visits and 3 weeks later my boy is back to new running around like nothing happened! I swear he has even more energy than before. The doctors and staff here are awesome. The prices were very fair for the operations he needed (except for the x ray, but those are expensive everywhere unfortunately ) and they offer a 6 month 0 interest payment plan which is nice. Also, he is as anxious as a dog can get when at the vet. They were all very understanding and patient with him. Thank you to everyone here for giving me peace of mind during a scary time and helping Jax! Side note: Im surprised to see a lot of reviews talking about being pushed expensive treatment options and a lack of care from the staff. I didn't get that feeling at all. They were open and honest about what was necessary and what wasn't. I didn't get the feeling they were looking at my dog with dollar signs in their eyes. In fact, what inspired me to write this review was thinking back to how comfortable they made this whole process.

They handle my dog Bleu with care. He was 13 years old. He was coughing up blood every so often. He wasn't really eating and couldn't drink water unless we brought it to him. The day we brought him in he had a fall outside trying to do his potty time. The first place we took him to he was in pain and couldn't even get himself up. They refused to help. They said there was nothing they could do unless I prove ownership. Even though the chip company had a picture on file with me and him in the back of my excursion. The chip company is closed on weekends come to find out. I called 1st pets in a panic. They were so kind even though I was a bit snappy. When we arrived they brought out the gurney to bring in Bleu. They made everything so comfortable. We were in a private room. It was as calming as can be even though I was mentally overwhelmed. They had treats to give to him and chocolate kisses for ourselves. It was truly a great experience for the circumstances. Not only was I losing my service animal I was losing a family member. I came to pick up his ashes and everything and I couldn't say much once handed everything. The lady didn't just hand me his ashes but she went through it all with me. They even put in a card signed by staff and a grievance pamphlet. I can't even express how pleased I am. I want to thank the entire staff at the location on 7th ave and union hills.

1st Pet Veterinary's amazing staff saved my pups life after ingesting a lethal amount of xylitol. I literally had to carry in a 75 pound dog going into hypoglycemia. They kept him for 3 days and cared for him like you wouldn't believe. They sent pictures and called with updates multiple times a day. I will forever be thankful for their quick to take action and professionalism. I am forever grateful that you saved Bear.

    RIP; Loved our boy. Euthanasia

Ribs broken etc. No car no source of income temporarily. She then proceeds to say "well you won't be seen without payment" like they just don't give a fuck . First off I didn't ask to take out a line of credit .(My credit is shit personally) I asked for RESOURCES THAT WOULD HELP fix my service animal leg I would never recommend this place of any emergency unless you're rich. Maybe then they will treat you like a human and treat your dog with respect. Even with pet Insurance you STILL have to pay UPFRONT and you'll just get reimbursed. Pet insurance is a scamm and these people don't gaf unless you're flashing money in their face. Fkkk your emergency. Literally ask the nice nasty receptionist If I can give them negative stars I would. Worst experience of my life goes to VEG

I wasn't expecting to write a review today... much less about an emergency vet clinic... but here…read morewe are. A week ago my little Yorkie got attacked by a cat. Took him to another emergency clinic close by and everything seemed fine. A few days later, he was acting off and took him back to that clinic and he was out on some pain meds for some spinal tenderness. Neither the emergency clinic or I noticed (even after examining him pretty thoroughly) that he had a puncture wound on the side of his jaw. Long story short, went back to that clinic today because I found him soaked in a weird bloody liquid oozing from his face and it was going to be a 4 hour wait. Figured I'd call VEG and see what their wait was and they told me to come right in and they would take care of him. Before I even got to the door, there was a VEG employee standing there to take us immediately back. I didn't even have time to look at the lobby... just straight back and immediately being looked at. Not going to lie, I didn't research VEG much since I was in immediate action mode... walking into the open concept emergency room was a little shocking. However, the care that the staff and doctors took was... beyond what I could have imagined. For what would be an agonizing amount of time where any other clinic would have taken him to the back, I was able to stay with him the entire time... even when they were working on him and cleaning up the wound I was holding him. While I don't want to say I loved the experience... I will say I loved the care and attention that every VEG employee showed. It was honestly worth every penny to bring him to VEG to be treated today. I felt like they really had his best interest at heart. I would highly recommend VEG to anyone who is in need of emergency care. The open concept can take a moment to get used to, but I think you'll find it to be far more comforting than if you were just left waiting somewhere while your pet was taken away from you. Thank you VEG. -Jonathan and Tannin

We had a virtual urgent care call and they were concerned enough that we brought him into The Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic to check in on him. After an ultrasound, they found that he had a mass on his spleen and was internally bleeding, and had to go into immediate overnight emergency surgery. The surgery was successful, and after a 36 hour hospital stay, Barkley is back home and on the mend. While this was such a scary experience and few days, I have nothing but wonderful things to say about The Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic and their team. They are open 24/7/365, and provided around the clock care. Because of the length of his stay, we worked with and spoke to multiple of their veterinarians and assistants (thank you to Dr. Ferguson, Dr. Fleming, Dr. Goldberg, and Dr. Blackmon), and everyone was so kind, attentive, and caring through every step of the process, gave us calls throughout the night with updates and over the past few days to check in on Barkley's progress, and were so compassionate in all of the care they provided. Barkley was in such great hands. Thank you to the The Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic team!

We took our two year-old dog here for a follow up appointment due to an increase in the size of his hematoma after a neuter they did they did the day prior (Monday 8/31). They gave us instructions to watch out for an increase in the size of the hematoma and (particularly blood rising up into the abdomen under the skin). Below are pictures with timestamps for reference. You can see that there is obvious evidence of increased size and growth in the hematoma spreading upwards. When I expressed my concerns to Dr. Serbin at follow up on Tuesday 9/1, he passed it off as hematoma's being common and he recommended continuing to take a anti-inflammatory medication (which come to find out has literature of potential blood thinning effects), and when asked about activity, they said he could increase to tolerate stairs slowly. Trusting the provider I did just this and my dog ended up in the emergency room not even 12 hours later. He was found to be anemic. The vet at the ER wondered why the anti-inflammatory medication wasn't stopped and why his hematoma wasn't traced with a sharpie to monitor progression earlier. The ER team said that he should be on strict bed rest with no activity to include any stairs. It is also shocking that Ingleside did not think to run a set of lab work to monitor his coagulation panels and hemoglobin considering such a stark change in the size of the hematoma. Documentation from the team at Ingleside stated there was no change and that his coloring at the time looked good. I would argue otherwise. I am disappointed with the quality of care, and the conversations I had with the management team who failed to take accountability for this mistake. Integrity was not upheld despite photo and documentation evidence of a significant change in my pets health.
