Had a 2020 Ram 1500 starter fail while out shopping with my wife. Contacted our insurance agency for a covered tow. The truck that arrived couldn't pick up due to the traffic in the parking lot. Lyfted our way home and started calling other companies. Reached out to 1(a)st Priority and planned to have the truck picked up after business hours so there would not be an issue with traffic. The representative I spoke with said I should call back around 7:00 p.m. I tried about 20 minutes early and was connected to the company's voice mail. I called back at 7:00 pm...and 7:05... and 7:10. I was ghosted by 1(a)st priority. Can't speak to the quality of service because I never got any. If you're stranded and need help on a Sunday afternoon, don't call Last Priority. read more

Owner and company are the biggest cons in the business. DONT USE THEM. Charge people for equipment not used and when shown video of his driver not using said "extra equipment" he says Oh well price is the same. I will never forget the owner of this Tow company..He's very rude and and used the F word to my girlfriend when she was only trying to get her car out of there lot because someone she knew took it without her permission and got pulled over with expired tags. After finding out she could not afford the outrages charges they were charging her for Storage fees She inquired about her car seat and personal items in the car they would not allow her to get these items... I went down there and spoke with the owner and express to him I didn't appreciate him using profanity to my girlfriend on the phone he denied it and then asked me if I wanted to fight him... My husband and I have taken our cars to Bob at 1st Priority for about five years. He's a skilled mechanic who communicates clearly and politely with customers, setting expectations in advance and following through on the service plan he's discussed. We've never seen a hint of "upsell" from him, or felt pressured into getting more repairs done than what is currently necessary for the continued good function of the car. Today I was at pheasant lane mall. Blew a power steering hose. Called these guys and they came right over towed me to their garage and got me right in to fix it. Now I have dealt with other places in the past and usually wouldn't get me in for a few days. Bob the owner is great to talk to you can tell he's a family guy. The tow truck driver Kevin was great he asked if I needed a ride most guys would say sorry find your own way. He's a great guy to talk to very down to earth. Kevins son Chris is a mechanic and he's very good at what he does and what struck me most when talking to him he said he loves his job. Most mechanics I have dealt with hate their jobs. I rented a Penske truck from this location through the Londonderry office. They quoted me a certain price with mileage included. When I returned the truck they charged me for the mileage. When I called the location the Owner basically would not help and would not credit me for the measly mileage. Not very good to deal with these guys! Think twice before taking your car or truck here to be worked on or renting from them! read more

My check engine light came on and I was not sure what the issue was. I took my car to 1st Priority because I was in the area. My car was taken in right away and they did a full diagnostic test to find out what the issue was. The owner of the business went over the error codes with me and did some research on the make/model of my car. He was able to narrow it down to a specific pressure cap and ordered the part right away. About 10 minutes later, the cap was on and my car has been running great ever since. They did not try to up-sell me or order extra parts that were not needed. I appreciate the honesty and very fair prices! I will be back!! read more

Tried to get me to do unnecessary work on my vehicle, yelled at me when asking about prices. Outright lied about quality of parts

Brought my car here for an oil change and to get my tires rotated, which I was hoping would stop the annoying vibration I was getting in my steering wheel. A couple of things made me suspicious when I came to pick it up - they tried to sell me engine flushing for my 2006 Civic (NOT recommended by Honda, as they had claimed, and definitely not on a car that young), and that my tires were still running flat even though I had specifically asked that they (and they said they had) put some air in them. Anyway, I ended up at another mechanic the next week (Eddie's, around the corner, really good shop actually) to replace a low-beam bulb, and mentioned the vibration problem. When I came to pick up the car, the guy there said that he had rotated my tires to fix the vibration; I told them that they had just been rotated the previous week, and he countered that they had not been taken off the car in months - he had to hammer the bolts off. Sure enough, now the vibration is completely gone. Tilden charged me for work they had not done and hoped I would not catch them; I will be changing my oil again this week, as I'm now not sure if they even did that. I have since heard a few real horror stories about them (I'm not surprised AAA did not recommend them to Robert R. - they've been dropped from AAA for some of the things they have done). I will definitely not take my car there again, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else either. read more

I called last night for help getting a forklift unstuck from soft ground next to our company parking lot. They sent a fellow named Dave. He was really a pro. He communicated well about how he was going to free the forktruck. He explained cost. He took care to prevent damage to the forktruck, our parking lot and made sure bystanders were safe. He was efficient but very careful. The truck was well equipped and in top notch condition. I would call these guys again if i ever need tow help. read more

I knew as soon as the accident happened the other driver didn't have insurance. snuck in come on really the cops escorting me off the property what a liar i am the one who went back with the cops cause i couldn't believe it was legal for you to be such an a$$ . the tow was $185 plus the clean up fee. I have been a customer of 1st Priority for 7 years. I have always received nothing but outstanding service. Bob and his top notch mechanics are courteous, friendly, professional and fair. They are very thorough while explaining the issues my car is having, and then show me what was causing the problem later when I come to pick it up. I usually don't do reviews, (actually this is my first) but I needed to, as I am very appreciative of the service I received today. I called, nervous about a sound my car was making, and Bob said to bring it right in. It was close to closing time and I didn't have a ride home. Bob, as always, is very accommodating. One of Bob's mechanics, Steve, drove me home, listened to all my concerns, and was right on the money with the problem. Within a half hour, Bob called to tell me my car was ready, he said Steve was on his way to pick me up! These guys should have been closing the shop, but did this for me. Beware! This business is very difficult to work with. I was in a major car accident on the highway, and my car was towed to this facility, per the state police. They have several unusual polices that make it difficult for you to get your car out of "hawk", so they can charge you $70 a day for storage. They charged me almost $600 to get it out. The insurance company said $600 is unusually high for this type of service. I was charged for two days even though my car was only there for 24 hours. The owner must sign for their car in person. Luckily, I wasn't hospitalized. They wouldn't let my body shop get the car without my personal signature. This was difficult for me, as I live 30 minutes away. I had to drive down in pain the day after my accident. Also, they would not let me get my personal belongings out of the car unless it was paid in "Full." Plus, you have to remove the car after you pay, or they will continue to charge you a storage fee. My car wasn't drivable, so I had to make arrangements to have it towed. They lied to me and told me the battery cables were cut by the fire department, so my car sat with the windows open all night. The fire department didn't cut the battery cables; they just removed them from the battery terminals. It would've only taken several minutes to connect the battery and roll up my windows. I guess the $600 charge doesn't cover that. I had expensive electronics in the car. Luckily, they didn't get wet or stolen. read more
