I am a Realtor and I want my buyers to use the very best Home Inspector available and by law have to present my buyers with a few different names of inspectors to do their home inspection. I have had Mike on my Inspector list for several years and he has always done the BEST job, not only on his thorough inspection, but also in explaining things to the buyers about what's a BIG deal (something to really worry about) and what's not that big a deal (because often buyers get freaked out when they look at an inspection report). If you've seen one, you know! We had our home inspected by Mike in March of 2017. I have spent almost $10k in repairs to my home on things he missed and should not have passed inspection. Very serious things. My pool heater was leaking, the control panel was wired incorrectly which eventually shorted out and blew the transformer, the sprinkler system was not functioning correctly, the inside sourroun sound system upstairs and down was wired incorrectly, and most upsetting was the fuse box was overloaded on 4 circuits which could have caused a fire. We initially were thinking about not getting a home inspection because we were buying a new house (so we thought). We are new to the area and were referred to Mike by one of my husband's co-workers. I thank God we had a home inspection and that we chose Mike to do it. He looked for everything. He is up to code with Texas requirements (not just what the builder considers up to code). We initially believed the house was a 2010 build and found out that it was built in 2007 because Mike told us. He found out so many things that we would not have even known to look for other than cosmetic things.
