Prompt, professional and thorough. We used Semper Fi Home Inspections for a new build inspection. Despite it being an empty and new home, the inspection took several hours because it was so thorough. Every outlet, sprinkler head, thermal imaging, etc. Even the plumbing and water lines to/from the house were inspected with cameras. We had faith that the builder did a good job in constructing the home, but having an independent 3rd party confirm it all is reassuring. At the end of the inspection, Aaron explained everything to us. He answered all of our questions, and at no point did we feel we were being patronized. I will use Semper Fi Home Inspections again for the 11 month warranty inspection. Worth every penny! I will be able to sleep well at night knowing the house is sound and safe. read more

Our inspector was Leland Moore, we met up with him towards the end of his inspection, he was very thorough with everything and didn't mind giving us an in depth explanation. Although I got one of the more expensive options I'm glad I didn't cheap out, he was extremely thorough with his inspection and jotted down everything, even tiny cracks I never even noticed, issues with caulk, minor things etc. I'm glad I listened to my home owner friends that told me "don't cheap out on an inspection". They also gave me a Military discount which is always a nice bonus. Solid work and outstanding professionalism. I'll definitely work with them again next time I'm buying a house! read more

My realtor gave me several home inspector recommendations, and Semper Fi was one of them. I was a little nervous at first because I felt their ratings were TOO good. You know when you look at ratings and you think, these are probably "curated"? Well, I ended up pinged 2 she recommended, and 2 she did not that I found online who were also well rated, and Semper Fi was the quickest to respond, and fastest to get someone out, so I went with them. Day of, Leland was about 20 minutes late to the inspection, but I think they may have had to swap inspectors because he was not originally slated to be mine. That said, he texted me and called about 30 minutes in advance and let me know which I appreciated. Besides that, smooth sailing. Leland spent over 3 hours going over every nook and cranny of the house and wrote a super thorough report. He also talked me through it and explained his POV and why the report read the way it did. Overall, fantastic job from start to finish, and at a reasonable price. I would use them again if I had to do this over again. read more

Their inspected missed something huge. After contacting my contractor, they needed to replace a lot. Semper Fi does NOT stand by their inspections. Their warrant process is a joke and it's not a warranty for their inspection. It's a "warranty" if something breaks. Well, it did break because they missed something so obvious. My realtor says because of my issue with them, they aren't going to suggest them anymore. Buyer beware. My issue is so bad that I can't give details and posted MONTHS later so they wouldn't know who I am. read more

Terrible Home Inspection company. Several items found post inspection and post move in that the home inspection company missed. Specifically, an entire defunct HVAC system that had to be replaced 24 hour after closing o the house. The inspector clearly was not trained to do his job correctly and the process to file a complaint over a legitimate issue was met with challenges each direction. We are out $10,000 and this company was the one who could have prevented this issue to begin with. I would not only never recommend them but we also want to be sure other people do not use them or get scammed out of money by using them. read more

I am an out of state investor who was referred to Semper Fi Home Inspections by my realtor. WOW! This team was on it from beginning to end. Not able to be at the home inspection myself the report very detailed report included everything I needed to make me feel comfortable with me to proceed with my purchase. Their report pointed out many things and even color coded them as to the level of importance so that we would not miss them. The pictures and videos sent was if we were at the inspection ourselves. They were flexible with scheduling and had a quick turnaround for the report as well as providing great communication throughout the process. Update.. Danny, the actual owner called me and was very courteous and apologetic. Offered to pay for the appliance call. They were hired by the buyer to inspect the house. The inspector, Charlie, went over and beyond to frighten the heck out of the buyers. Even talked about Carbon Dioxide detectors not found. Not even a requirement! Anyway, the Buyer's backed out because of this over zealous inspection. But that's not the real complaint here. My Seller, who is an older Widow left the house when the inspector was there. She has a fairly new dishwasher which worked fine before the inspection. During the inspection, the buyer's agent called me and said the inspector couldn't make the DW work. Called seller and she was like .. that DW is working like a champ. After the inspection, my seller went home and that night tried to wash dishes. 1st, it was trying to work but someone turned the water off to the dw. She finally got it turned back on and then the machine wouldn't stop running. She had to turn off main breaker to stop it. She was very upset. I called there company and finally spoke to the owner, Mathew. He completely refused to acknowledge and blame at all. Even basically said because he asked Charlie if he turned off the water and he said no, my lady was lying. She didn't even know how to turn it off. After a long conversation, he basically told me they weren't going to anything at all. I wrote him an email.. see below... with not even a reply. I had to pay for a repair person to repair the machine. Just seems to me, this company could have at least tried to help. They probably charged over $600 for the inspection. Highly suggest.. stay away from this inspection company .. "Very  disappointed! that you decided to NOT do what is right and help my Lady out.  Not even having Charlie go out to take a look at it. Or, even better, paying for an appliance repair company to do a service call. All we know is, like I said, that newer DW worked just fine up until your inspection.  So, maybe your right, it is just a very odd coincidence that it went on the blink during that small window of time. I don't think so. And BTW,  it's odd..  someone turned the water off during that window and my Seller doesn't even know how to. Fantastic! When they realized our inspection requirements were pretty thorough (VA loan and a pool) they sent out two inspectors to complete the work simultaneously which gave us plenty of time to reconcile any issues with the sellers during our option window. The report was thorough, well over 50 pages, with tons of recommendations. The purchase also comes with a number of credits for other companies they partner with (moving, new house minor fixes, installation of TVs, etc.). I know some people want to skimp on an inspection given a lot of up-front and costly requirements for buying a new home, but an inspection shouldn't be one of them. Between the peace of mind, repair/recall guides, and the credits with other companies, this was well worth the price. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.!!!!!!! They have a great business model but that's were their greatness stops. I have filed two claims with them over the past few months with zero results. 1st you'll wait over an hour on hold each time you call. My first claim was 6 months ago for a pool pump motor. I was told I could use anyone I wanted to fix the problem....sure go ahead get it fixed pay for it yourself...good luck getting reimbursed....it's been 6 months still no check. then my frig went out. it took 2 weeks to get someone to my house to look at the problem...then another 3 weeks to make the repair that didn't fix the problem. it's now been over a week since I called to report the repair didn't work.....that's 6 weeks and counting with no frig....now I get to waste another hour on hold because they will not call you back....DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! read more
