Fire Restoration Services…read more I had a small kitchen fire and wanted to procure fire restoration services to take care of any soot and smoke damage. Any visible damage was mostly contained within kitchen area. I looked up local companies on Yelp and decided to get a free quote from Independent Restoration Services. They came out the next day to check out the place, provided a quote within a few hours, and were then able to start the next day after obtaining work authorization. I placed my trust in them based on their reviews across Yelp, Google, and FB. At first I was a bet skeptical due to only one person making it out on the first day, which was due to a combination of scheduling issues , others being called onto different sites/projects, and overall just being a small team. But in the end they still finished on schedule as initially estimated, despite having less manpower than I had expected. They were thorough with the restoration - my place was just as clean as before, and in some places even cleaner. They kept me assured throughout the whole process and answered any questions and concerns I had. There was a misunderstanding on my end where I thought they would also clean the air ducts, but since that is not something they provide, they offered to go 50/50 on subcontracting a duct cleaner. And at the end, they agreed the initial quoted estimated cost seemed a bit too high, so they were willing to adjust the final bill downwards. Overall they provided quality cleaning and restoration services, were flexible to work with, and did not seem like they were out to get my money. No one wants to deal with water damage to your home. When I woke up Christmas morning it looked…read morelike Santa had a snow party on my roof and then forgot that the snow melts and can leak through the roof. Well, that's not exactly how the damage happened, but you get the point. I called Service Master and they came out immediately to help mitigate the damage to my home. They set up their dryers and diagnosed the problem pretty quick. We had a lot of different dryers going on for a couple days in my home. Brandon was assigned to my case and came every day to check on the dryers and the area that was being dried to make sure the dryers were being effective. At a certain point, when an area was not getting dried quickly, he determined it was best to cut an additional hole in a wall to get to the area to dry. The hole was effective and got the area to dry so that they could get out of my house sooner! After they had left, I had notice an area on a sidewall was damaged from their ladder. I had been taking photos of the process as advised by my insurance company and the damage was exactly where the ladder had been. I called Brandon to advise what had happened. I sent him photos of them working and the damage to the wall. He called his supervisor and had his supervisor call me. I advised how much the estimate was to fix the damage and they agreed to take it off my bill. Yeah, it sucked my house got damage from them working. But, it was an honest mistake and I was happy they worked with me and resolved it fairly. Brandon was very professional throughout the entire process and really helped me navigate the water claim. I do wish they would invest in some booties for their shoes while they are working as I don't really like shoes tromping all over my carpet.. But its time to get the carpet cleaned anyways, so I did not complain.

It…read moreturns out that a pressure reducing valve in the Attic burst which flooded the second story bathroom directly beneath it as well as the hallway under that. Both floors affected - in total 2 hallways, 2 closets, and two bathrooms. Immediately after turning off the water, I started looking online for a plumber to fix the leak, and they suggested a different mitigation company which I accepted. They came by, and it turns out tried to scam me massively for insurance, etc. I'm lucky to have caught it before signing anything. After this awful experience, I went back online to find a different mitigation company and found Life Savers. They came by at like 9:00 p.m. took a look and although I was extremely suspicious of anyone I would have spoken to after the first experience, Rudy really helped set my mind at ease and made the process incredibly easy all things considered. They stopped the damage, everything was done incredibly professionally and well within the expectations of my insurance company, and their professionalism and kindness shown through from start to finish of their services. My claims adjuster was extremely impressed not only over how I handled the situation, but how Lifesavers did as well. If I do need to mitigate another disaster Lifesavers will be the first team I call. Excellent service and excellent value.
