When I brought the artwork into The UPS Store, I explained my concerns to Reggie. He immediately put me at ease, telling me that he regularly packs and ships artwork for a nearby gallery and that he would take special care of mine. He absolutely delivered on that promise. The care that Reggie and Cam took in packing my artwork was extraordinary. Every piece was wrapped as though it were irreplaceable. The glass was protected with a special film to prevent damage to the artwork if it were ever to break, each piece was expertly cushioned and secured, and everything was packed so thoughtfully that I honestly don't think it could have shifted during shipping if someone had tried. The shipment actually arrived a day earlier than expected, but what impressed me most was opening the box and seeing the level of craftsmanship and care that had gone into the packing itself. It was immediately obvious that they had treated my artwork with the same attention they would have given their own. In a world where it's easy to overpromise and underdeliver, Reggie and Cam did exactly the opposite. They promised they would take exceptional care of my artwork, and they exceeded every expectation. If you have anything valuable, fragile, or simply meaningful that needs to be packed and shipped, I recommend The UPS Store on Ventura Boulevard without hesitation. The building used to be an old neighborhood cinema, but now it's home to this mailbox center that's finally having its glow-up moment. And let me tell you: the new team is a massive upgrade. The two guys running it now? Friendly, accommodating, and actually happy to help. A total 180 from the previous workers, who... well, let's just say customer service was not their strong suit. I honestly avoided this place before, but now it feels completely different--in a good way. I drop off all my FedEx and UPS packages here, and I pick up my boxes from Amazon, UPS, and FedEx at this location too. Super convenient, no stress. I also got my passport photos taken here, and they did an excellent job with those as well. They offer PO boxes, mailboxes, notary services, passport photos, fingerprinting, and just an overall smooth experience. If you need mailing or document services in Sherman Oaks, this is officially a yes from me.

More importantly, they offer very opportune copy services, Notary, mailboxes, FedEx, UPS, USPS (and more). They are filling the gap for many Sherman Oaks/Van Nuys locals' shipping needs (since the former UPS Store, 6311 Van Nuys Blvd) is now permanently closed). I didn't provide 5-stars because I was sur-charged 50¢ to leave a USPS item with their outgoing USPS mail ...?! (5x7 padded mailer with the pre-paid return shipping label already attached). I'm not crazy about that policy. It would be one thing if they were printing a label, providing packaging and bubble wrap, and/or affixing the label, but since they didn't do any of the above, I think it's teetering close to price-gauging (unreasonable, at the very least). USPS delivers mail to 6221 Van Nuys Blvd. (and picks up outgoing mail) for free. I think the surcharge for leaving a piece of outgoing mail with them is unwarranted and lame.
