Dear Forward Therapy,…read more I am writing this letter today to express my gratitude for all the care and love that you have provided me. When I came for my first appointment I was scared and unsure that I would ever recover properly from my car accident. You took me in with a warm smile and warm hands and reassured me that I had what it takes to get better and made me believe it was true. Forward therapy is more than a rehab gym. It's a gym that heals the soul just as much as the body. I instantly bonded with my therapists who gave me great advise and perspective on my progress, and each therapist had something unique to bring to the table. The team made going to therapy fun and exciting as I pushed through the pain. I loved how professional all the staff were, it made me feel safe and in good hands. The gym is clean and the staff were always on time and on schedule, they never overbooked so everyone gets plenty space and time with the therapists. I want to thank everyone who took care of me over the past couple months, my experience could not have been more positive. I rolled myself in (barely) with a walker and walked myself out the door. I know my journey is just beginning but I could not have done it without you guys, you gave me back my life and I will never forget it. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

After a period of rest at home, I began physical therapy at FORWARD PT on the recommendation of friends. I've just completed my 5th week of PT (3 times/wk) and I'm delighted to say my condition - muscle strength and physical stamina - are much improved. I've even gained back most of the weight I'd lost. In addition to sessions with David, I've had several with other therapists in the office. In fact, all my sessions have been excellent. Each was somewhat different in terms of the areas emphasized - cardio, balance, core, resistance exercises, etc. - but the care and individual attention from the entire staff were consistently superb. The variety and types of equipment FORWARD PT has available is also impressive. After spending some time at NYU's Rusk Rehabilitation Center, I can say without reservation that FORWARD PT is every bit as good or better - both in the quality of its staff and the therapies offered. The entire staff was concern with his concerns and the concerns of my cousins who live out of the city. The nurses would take phone calls any time of the day or night. The administration director would help the family if we had any concerns. Thank you all who work at this center. This facility has Roman Catholic masses twice a week that was special for my uncle because he is spiritual. For all please consider this facility if you are in need of a rehab center. Beware!!! I went here for an initial physical therapy evaluation, and on top of the $575 charge for…read morethe evaluation, I was charged $150, $295, and $295 for three "therapy procedures" I was never given--unless $640 is the fee for someone putting an ice pack on my Achilles tendonitis?! On top of this, when, at the end of the evaluation, I told the PT that my schedule would not permit me to follow the treatment plan she suggested, she completely dismissed this concern, instead insisting that I figure out a way--which made the entire visit completely useless, since she seemed only to want to suggest a treatment that was impossible. On top of THAT, it turns out that many PTs advise against icing an Achilles heel, and indeed, that $640 ice pack only worsened the pain by stiffening the tendon. Not only a useless waste of time and money, but actively harmful. Do NOT go here.

Very busy, juggling with the kids, all his appointments, errands and all, I haven't been able to write a review. Sorry Yelpers! Anyways, we were recommended to come here by a family member and I'm glad we did take the advice. Don't worry about the parking situation, if you're driving your loved ones like myself, plenty of free parking and metered parking just outside the facility. Friendly, patient people here. It does get busy at times, but they allow you to come in and work on other excercises while you wait for a room. Not a huge fancy place, but they have all the basics and all the help you need towards a speedy recovery!

Excellent group of professionals working at Access PT…read more Been going here for a few months due to a balky back and their therapy has helped me a great deal. They have a pretty large facility with private rooms and nice sized space for rehab with weights, stationary bikes and much more. John has been my PT doctor and has done a great job. He's the nicest guy and tells you exactly what his plan is to take care of you once he has all the facts. He is honest about the therapy and will not force you to do a specific exercise if he feels you are not ready for it. The techs are good too and nobody could complain about the 15 minute heavenly electronic vibrating massage and the following 3 minute ultrasound that will leave you floating! Parking could be tricky depending on the time of your appointment but it's nowhere near impossible.

Today when I had my weekly PT as usual and this therapist ( Kevin ) , an mid-aged Asian male , after commenting my weight while he was giving treatment , I totally changed my mind about this place. I am a 5'7 125 lbs female , not clinically obese of course ,getting a comment from my therapist saying I am fat (out of no where )?! What ???? So I confronted him and told him that I am just 125 lbs and I am 5'7, he kept denying that I was not telling the truth about my weight and kept saying if I lose 5-10 lbs, I would gain youth and beauty. ( are you serious ?? Sir ! I am in my late 20's ) I want to emphasize that he gave this comment out of no where and I was just basically lied on my stomach receiving massage treatment from him while he was talking, not that I was engaging a conversation with him about my appearance ..... I thought about it myself , I don't think there was a language barrier between him and me as I was speaking in his mother language(Mandarin) . Second of all, it is not a therapist business to judge my weight specially there is nothing to judge to begin with . I was thinking in my mind , hello ?! You are a physical therapist and you are not a weight loss consultant :) but just to be polite at the moment, I chose to not say anything back to him. Anyway , Beside him criticizing my weight and body-shamed me , he did not give any other other constructive comments about my physical health. All I am trying to say here is that , I feel that this therapist was extremely unprofessional and gave no respect to me as a patient and just randomly BS whatever he wanted just because he was bored. Just a little tip here to all of you out there looking for a good Asian PT / acupuncture treatment center , this place is not bad but just to be careful to not choose this Kevin guy to give you treatment or If it happens that you have to get treated by him , then I suggest to not speak mandarin with him / making conversation with him just so you can avoid him getting too comfortable with you and scar you with this sort of personal comment . Even now , I am still pretty depressed by his comment and I know there are people out there cannot take this kind of comment very well . So please be aware people , if possible , stay away from that Kevin guy for good !
