These people are subpar mediocre cheap part peddlers. Got an Iphone screen replaced and my phone stopped working. I returned with my phone, they seemed happy and willing to address the issue..... but i was then told my motherboard was fried so to the screen that they had placed on my phone. Now i'm being told by corporate they aren't liable for the damages..... and i will be taking legal action this. The yelp reviews for all of their locations have more bad then good and i'm starting a petition to push for class action lawsuit. anyone willing to sign please let me know.... it's 2022 phone cost as much as rent and i'll never let a company bully me.... read more

We have at least 6 Apple devices in our household and have always gotten good repairs and advice from 1Up Repairs for phones and tablets (e.g. one time they told us we should buy another device because the repair wouldn't last long - really helpful; they're always prompt with service and accurate about how long things will take). My one negative experience had to do with a home button replacement on an iPhone that failed within a couple of weeks. I was traveling at the time and had to get another company to replace it because I couldn't be without a phone for my trip. It makes sense that 1Up couldn't refund/credit for the repair even though I had to basically pay for it twice, but a discount or something more than a rude response when I called about it would have been nice. read more

Beware!!! This business sold me a defective phone. I cannot text message on the phone without an "undo typing" message popping up. They sold me a phone that they did not repair correctly, and they refuse to fix the problem or to allow me to return it. If you are looking a phone repair shop, look elsewhere. read more

BEWARE! They quoted me one price at the store to fix my IPad and then when I came to pick it up, the price had more than doubled. They called the manager and he said he didn't remember the quote. My mistake was not having a receipt to verify the price before I left the shop. Lesson learned. They did fix the IPad to my satisfaction but I had to bring to their attention one corner that had a jagged edge and they then filed it down. If you ran your finger around the edge you could definitely feel it. They should have caught that before they completed service. Good repair but just be careful read more

Amazing and honest service! I took my iPhone 6 in because it stopped charging. The guy took it to the back and then brought it back in 5 mins saying it should work now and that it had just had gunk in the charging port that he cleaned out. He didn't charge me anything when he could have charged me for a new charging port! I'm definitely come back here for any other repairs I need and will happily give them my money knowing that they are an honest company. read more

Needed help removing some screws from a hard drive and putting them on another. Didn't have the right tool for it. They took care of me and did it for me super quick. Attendant was quick and cordial. Will definitely go back if/when I need any repairs. read more

I went to go get a screen repair and a 3 days later my screen stopped moving and I couldn't use it and when I went in they just looked at the phone and they automatically said that it was messed up from the inside, they didn't even looked at it right so I honestly think it's not worth it don't go there !!!! Called in because my PS4 wouldn't power up and was quoted $75-$150 for a likely power cell failure. Upon arrival the owner personally took care of me and within 5 minutes diagnosed as a power cord issue and gave me his cord at no charge. These guys are so understanding. My speaker wasn't working and I expected to either be told I need a new phone or be charged for an expensive repair. Paul took my phone to the back, informed me that the speaker was just dirty because of make-up and sweat, and didn't charge me anything to clean it. My phone works fantastically now! Cell phone screen was cracked. I took it there for repair with the employee telling me it was under warranty lifetime for any defects after getting it fixed. Less than a day later some how the screen cracked again on the same spot. I never dropped it or did anything to cause the crack on the screen by the home button. I took it in as instructed under warranty with the same employee telling me there was nothing covered under that. He also had stated the previous day there would be a discount for the same problem whenI asked him how much to repair the same problem he gave me the same ridiculous price 69 dollars. read more

I brought my iPad to these guys to fix a few days ago. They called me letting me know that the screen was fixed but they broke the home button and had to replace it with one where the fingerprint identification wouldn't work. They said they could give me 10%, but I told them I didn't think that was a good trade off for breaking the home button. I talked to the owner and he asked me what would make me a happy customer in this scenario. I told him I had a crack on the screen of my iPhone, and he said he would fix that on the house if I paid in full for the iPad. Thanks for doing what you can to keep happy customers! Spend a little more $$ elsewhere to get your phone fixed correctly the first time!!! Recently had my phone screen repaired at 1Up Repairs. They seemed to do a good job and quickly. However, the repair did not last. My screen started popping up from my phone. I attempted to push it back into place but it didn't work. I took my phone back to 1Up Repair to have them hopefully fix it (or at least have my screen attached back onto my phone) only to have the man at the counter state I would have to pay for a whole new screen since I clearly caused damage by trying to push my screen back into place. I explained that I had just had my screen replaced by 1Up when it started popping up. The man did not care... I wouldn't mind paying for a new screen but I do think 1Up Repairs should share in the responsibility since it was not installed properly the first time. The man declined and offered me the standard 10% discount since I would be "repeat customer". I declined because I would rather pay a little more to have the job done right the first time vs. being a "repeat customer" and getting a 10% discount every time I have to go in to fix their mistakes. It is a good business model, just bad for customers. read more

I broke my phone screen, read reviews on several places and decided 1up seemed the best option. Replaced my screen quickly, but the customer service was terrible. My new screen was 'haunted,' opening apps and doing things on it's own so I took it back and got a free replacement. My now second screen from them has green lines vertically all over the screen. I take it back for what I believe should be another free replacement, an inconvenience, but at least it's free. I'm told it's physical damage so it isn't covered and I need to pay for another screen replacement. I told them it was like that as soon as it was replaced and I hadn't dropped it or anything. I questioned if maybe the physical damage occurred while they were installing it but the rude guy at the counter, who has been there every time I've gone in, wouldn't even consider that possibility. I don't know his name because he was so standoffish and unwelcoming each time. So now I need to yet again pay roughly $100 for a new screen, but I will be going elsewhere. Please fellow patrons do not be fooled by the good reviews as I was; take your business somewhere else. Maybe I just got unlucky as everyone else seems to have had a good experience there, but I personally wish I had never gone there. read more

I went to get my phone screen fixed. First off, it is ridiculously expensive- $97 for a cracked corner. Anyways, I took it in and when they gave it back to me, the screen was sticking out. This is not what Iphones look like, and I am sure this will lead to another crack. I wish I never took it to them and just kept the cracked screen. read more

My recommendation is to NEVER go to these guys. I brought my Apple Watch in to replace the glass. There was a chip on the corner and a small piece of the glass was missing.They called and said it was ready, but it did not work. I guess they did not test it. I left it and came back again. They said they could not fix it, that the mother board was damaged. And, when they handed me the watch, the glass was shattered. The watch is now broken and unusable. Yet it was working when I dropped it off... They refunded my payment, which is good. I guess it means that I did not have to pay to have them destroy my watch. What a bargain! read more

Shattered my iPhone screen and got a replacement. Needed to get pics off of the shattered one so I came here for some help. First of all, wish I would've just come here first to get my screen replaced instead of the hassle of getting a new phone. Their rates are so reasonable and it would've been much easier. But glad that I did come here to get help with getting the pics off of the old phone, as the service was great (fast and friendly) and it was totally affordable. I actually had to go back a second time because I couldn't figure out where the pics went to on my laptop and they helped me out and didn't charge. Best experience! My iphone screen was cracked. I took it in and returned 30 minutes later and it was fixed! It includes a lifetime warranty (for defects, not if you drop it again). They will give you a discount though if it cracks again. Friendly, fast and trustworthy. read more

Awful. As a company I've used the Guadalupe location for years now, but this location just unacceptable. I went to get my screen replaced and my battery replaced, something I have done times before. At this location, upon receiving my phone back, the proximity sensor was no longer working. After I brought the the situation to their attention, they refused to help unless I paid for their services again. I will never be getting repairs at this store again. read more
