Brisket was tender, ribs fell off of the bone, and sausage was sliced and crispy around the edges. Good sauces at the table as well. And, it's adjacent to a meat market and store. My wife noted that their ground beef was a better price than local big grocery stores. They also have a large frozen cooler with all sorts of goodies including Cajun. We are going back.

I told him I used to go to a BBQ place in Pasadena many years ago also named Dave's and was informed that it was his place back them. Small world. I took my left overs home to my wife and she loved it. We'll be back. They have quite an extensive menu for a smokehouse and being connected to the meat market next door I want to try the Chicken Fried Steak.

It's small country butcher shop with limited parking space in a small town that stays packed with locals and people like me making the trip. There is a fresh meat counter, several frozen options and cooked food to go. There are also baked goods but not enough of an offering to be called a bakery in my opinion. So why do I go? They have house made sausages that are outstanding and a hit at my cookouts. I also love the fresh pan sausage, ribeye steaks (fresh and frozen), and the fried fish plates as a treat for making the drive.
