Love this place! Have been here only two times however, both have been great experiences! We came with family both times and we were greeted and attended in a timely manner. The bartenders during the day are friendly ( we haven't been later than 6pm) and place is chill, we only came to talk and drink it was perfect for just that, the music isn't too loud and the ambiance is relaxed. A good place to have a good but strong drink :) We will definitely be coming back. read more

I wouldn't recommend this place at all. First time going here and it's dirty as hell in there. Pool tables are disgusting.. they are all stained up w crumbs all over. The place inside just feels like it hasn't been cleaned in years. The service was OK. We weren't even greeted when we walked in and had to wait a while for the bartender to ask us what we wanted and the bar is pretty small. No food there which is probably a good thing because having food in a dirty place like that sounds like a food poisoning waiting to happen. read more

My friend and I were visiting from California and had one last night in San Antonio. We decided to look to check out this place. From the moment we entered, they had great music playing, the bartenders were smiling, it was just overall a great good vibes only kind of setting. The bartender, Fernando (I believe that was his name), was super friendly and knew exactly what I wanted "Tokyo Tea" he made it exactly the way I have mine in WeHo ...maybe even better! I didnt realize this was a LGBTQ (gay) bar until I arrived. I found it on Google and it was close to my airbnb, so I walked over. Apparently I came on a straight night (its not what you think lol). The bartender working that night is the only straight employee. He was super friendly and provided quick service. The drinks were strong and cheap. This is for sure a regulars/neighborhood bar. Everyone seemed to know each other so I stuck out like a sore thumb, but everyone was nice and I got a taco joint recommendation out of it so a good night overall. read more

Just recently moved to San Antonio Texas from Macon Georgia and discovered the 2015 Place while looking around for a gay bar that I could possibly find other guys that are also gay. I found that the 2015 Place was really laid back and felt very comfortable being there immediately. The drinks were terrific and the service was great as well and the other people there were very friendly as well. With me being a white slim and trim bottom type guy, I figured I'd have a hard time finding a decent top guy that I might possibly have a chance to get to know much better. In no time at all, I was very impressed with the older black top guy that I met and we immediately became attracted to each other. This past weekend became a very exciting weekend for me, now that I know that the 2015 Place is not only a great place for drinks and service, it is also a great place to meet others that are also gay. I do prefer the black top type of guy and definitely found what I was looking for here. read more

2015 is the dive bar that feels like home. Disregard all those old dusty reviews and get with the times. The bartenders are what makes this place what it is. It doesn't take you a million dollars to hear your song on the jukebox and there's usually a pool table or dart board open. Love this hidden gem! You would never expect what you will find inside from the outside. The staff is extremely friendly! Liquor/beer available. They have the most romantic outdoor patio. Amazing sound system! Music is always loud and upbeat. They have 2 pool tables, shuffleboard, darts, pinball, Pac-Man, playing cards, board games and a DANCE FLOOR! This is a prime location for birthday parties/receptions. Make sure you park your car across the street at Las Salsas. They do not tow. This is one of the greatest bars I've ever been to. I was traveling to SA from California. I like to visit local LGBT bars to scope out the scene. This place exceeded my expectations. Now, I'm definitely not saying this place is "nice"... it's ugly, the floors are all messed up, a little sticky, just overall very grimey, but it's that type of grime that tells a story. This place has EVERYTHING you could ask for in a dive bar: $1 pool tables, a juke box, cheap drinks (tall margaritas for $5.50!), an outdoor patio, a dance floor with wall mirrors (excellent for people watching!), junky strobe lights... AND IT'S A GAY BAR?!?! WHHHHAAATTT!? The bartender the night I went was named Jay. He is the definition of hospitality. It literally felt like I was a guest at his house. While I am trying to like this bar, it is difficult. The most bothersome of our visits is that prices rise every time one orders. The change is seldom correct, is this intentional? Forget about using a credit card, over-charges have happened. Pay cash only! We are a group of 4-6 that go in like twice a month. Each of us has noticed the money discrepancies. Are these bartender having it so rough they have to "accidentally" short change the customers? If this did not happen so often, the tips would be greater. Except for the young bartender, recently most of the employees seemed bothered to serve. While the bar seems clean, the experience is ruined by the attitude of the bartenders. The potential for the bar is there. It somehow has managed to stay open for years, although we have never seen a packed night, even before the pandemic. read more

There were six women in the bar and I don't think I would be wrong in assuming they were girls of the Garbo variety. So saying this place has lez-lacking hospitality is moot. From the hot air to the hot beer, i spent my time here looking up other dive bars in the area. Parking is limited and awkard in its small lot. I sat at the bar and waited 8 mins to get served, while my arms stuck to the table from spilt drinks. Finally i ordered a heff on tap, which smelt exactly like the urinal (from being warm), although being warm did slow me down from binge drinking the night away. I don't think I'll be returning here anytime soon, due to its services and the fact that they had an americas diamond infomercial playing the entire time. read more

This dive bar is alright for gay men probably, but women are treated like second class citizens. As a straight woman, a paying customer, and friends with a gay man, I should be treated half as well as the regulars are, but it is not so. I perpetually had tabs that were wrong, the bartenders would just put drinks on the tab of anyone you are with. (??) and don't ask be they are never wrong- they are horrible and unprofessional. The place is dirty, the bathroom are just creepy bad. There are never enough barstools inside so people are stealing them or just standing. The "patio" is more like a storage unit on the side of the building, again with insufficient seating. No one dances, ever. It doesn't appear that anyone comes here but regulars. I used to come for my friend, but we have agreed there must be something better w a more appealing patio and better bartenders. read more

I went to this place for one shot out of sheer convenience but once I was able to flag the bartender down for service, I was promptly told I wouldn't be served because the staff member "didn't like me" and was asked to leave. Wow this place really needs help. Besides the black mold on the patio, the smelly, filthy bathrooms (there's been vomit on the wall for six months) and the unbelievably rude female bartender, they overserve people to the point of disgusting inebriation. The bartenders eat behind the bar like pigs. I've seen several minors in the bar and the manager Johnny is as rude as they come; he can't even muster a smile when he is troubled to take your order. I feel the same way when I go to the new Bermuda Triangle. Although the cute blonde bartender was very attentive to my alcoholism. 2015 is a nice gay dive bar. The bartenders are attentive and crowd is a medium size usually. The gay bars on Main are only 3 minutes away if you want to change scenery. I try not to make orders through him, because he is so rude. Avoid him if you can, or don't tip him, because he has no customer service skills. Go for the shorter guy. Local bar, calm, but let's cut to the chase. I ordered a michelada from a bartender who doesn't like them. I asked " but you know how to make them right?" Jokingly & he responded " of course, it's pre-made" while he showed me the store-bought mix. :/ well it tasted like it, but here's the icing.... I asked for more lemon and he charged me $1 for it.
