She was absolutely amazing! So kind, compassionate, a great listener, and a fabulous hairstylist! She asked what I wanted, I really had no idea and left it up to her. Today was my first visit to 209 Salon I'm very happy with my overall experience...everyone I met at the salon was so friendly and welcoming Emily my new hair stylist was so sweet and talented she makes you feel like you've known her for ages very down to earth and listens to what you are wanting to get done. If I could give less I would. I walked out looking like a Sofia from the golden girls.. I went in asking for a youthful updated look came out horrified. I hoped it was just his styling technique but a good cut I could work with so today I washed it and tried to style it three time its probably the worst cut I have ever had.. I'm disgusted... I was over charged because they knew it was my first visit but did not give me the first time customer discount and when they sent me their survey this morning and I rated it low it some how didn't get onto their web site..maybe show all reviews not just good ones so customers can get a honest answer when researching.. very bad business and horrible haircut ... I'm an interior designer I travel all over the world for customers if I left a home like you left my hair I would be fired.. read more

I have been coming to 209 for a few years. A few months ago I wanted to change my look for something a little more youthful as I am 41 and have had the same haircut for a while. I showed Jaeden a few pictures and was nervous I wouldn't explain it correctly. She knew exactly what I was going for without me having to explain it at all. I wanted a blunt cut angled bob with blonde balayage and darker roots. All I can say is she nailed it! It was beyond what I even pictured in my head. I have gotten SO many compliments on my hair and recommend Jaeden to everyone. I feel young and on trend and beautiful and trust her completely to keep me feeling this way! read more

I do not recommend this salon. I went in for just a hair cut and no blow dry which was by choice. They charged me $70. I was sooooo surprised because to be honest there was nothing special about them. I decided to wait and go to my car to make sure they charged everyone the same price. I called again asking for the price of hair cuts and the manager Rich said $50. I was like what??? you just charged me $70 and he was caught and acted like this stylist charges more. By the way I have no ideal who this stylist is I didn't even ask for him to be charging me more. I asked for my the extra money back that they charged me and he wouldn't, he made a lot of excuses. I received a survey after I visited 209 Salon and I shared with them how unhappy I was with the services I received. Do they ever read those survey's? I thought it would somehow be beneficial to them! I hate leaving a Salon "disappointed" after dropping mucho $$'s on haircuts/ color/ highlights/ etc. My main pet peeve that day, was that the stylist didn't listen or just didn't care to what I wanted. I get that they must hear some outrageous stuff like "Make me look like JLo" (or whatever). I came in for a TRIM and my hair was cut off. I've been trying to grow it out for months. They stylist said "you don't want that shag look you have going on, do you"? Welllllll...as a matter of fact. I did. Why do I have to look like every other woman leaving your Salon? Why can't I have my own unique style? She also "fussed" with my color(I do my own). She's like..."want me to add some low lights to balance it out"? (and she did) I was FINE with the sunny blonde I walked in with. I was simply there for my roots but SHE wanted to add the root color throughout my hair! Gurrrrrrrrrrrllllllllll.....did you listen to a THING I said when I walked through that front door?? Why can't you intently listen to me, make suggestions, but feed off of what I'm saying! If I say I'm growing my hair out...then I'm growing it out! UGH! Sooooo frustrating! And even more frustrating, is the fact that I never got a response from the Manager about the survey I filled out(waste of time). I was also bugged by the fact that I wanted to buy a trial size product, but the girl at the front desk couldn't find it for the life of her. She looked it up on the computer, and mentioned they have quite a few, but she had NO IDEA where they were. How can you run a business like that? And lastly (whew! This was a rough afternoon! LOL) You can't have air conditioning units (on the floor) blowing on the sinks while your customers are getting their hair washed! That was freezing cold air!!!!! I recently moved to the Dallas area and hadn't had my hair cut in over a year. I have really thick hair that cuts ugly if you don't know what you're doing, so I'm always afraid of a new place having been burned by The Mullet, The PTA, and The Carol Brady more times than I can count. 209 Salon will likely be "my salon" now that I'm here. The staff was very friendly, the salon is comfortable and nicely appointed, and my hair turned out great. Michael cut my hair and he immediately put me at ease. He is very nice and extremely competent, so you should definitely ask for him if you go in. There's only two reasons I'm not giving them a full five: first, I showed up 15 minutes early for my appointment and had to wait almost 45 minutes. This does not seem like it would be a recurring problem. In fact the problem was that another patron showed up late for her own appointment and then wasted everybody's time by talking loudly on the phone and asking her stylists to "just hang on one second" every time they got near her head. Not really the salon's fault but still kinda sucked to sit around. Second, I had to keep asking to not have blunt cuts in my hair. I still ended up with some. But AGAIN in the spirit of true fairness I have no doubt that Michael would have kept at it until I had exactly what I wanted--plus my hair looks great even with a few blunt ends, which I didn't know was even possible (thanks Michael!) But because we started late and I had to get back to work, I couldn't really stick around. Should you go to 209 Salon? Hells yes. Make sure you ask for Michael. Should you show up on time? I just finished my appointment with Brian and had a fabulous experience getting my hair done! I was scared to death to try someone new, but I knew my hair was a hot mess and needed severe help. He was very patient with me when I explained everything that I thought was wrong with my hair from the color to the style. After reviewing lots of places decided to give 209 Salon a shoot. I sent a request for appointment via the website and within mins got a response even though it was super late past midnight on Friday/Saturday morning. I was able to get in on Saturday for cut and color, I was happy with the results and will be coming back. Everybody was super nice and my hair dresser did exactly what I asked and l left very happy, he cut it just right in order to give my hair enough body but still be able to pull it back when needed. read more

I went to 209 salon for about 2 years, i loved my stylist. but when i came in to get my hair done the last time the owner put me with a girl i have never gotten my hair done with, i was obviously shocked and confused because im loyal to my stylist. the girl then proceeded to FRY my hair completely. i've only ever dyed my hair once and now i can't even get my hair dyed and it's been almost a YEAR LATER because of how damaged my hair is. the owner is not only rude to customers but to his own stylists!! the only good stylists have left the salon. don't give this salon any money or your service unless u want a horrible experience and damaged choppy hair. also beware a lot of the good reviews on here are FAKE, the owner is just trying to save his own a**. The owner also overcharges on "accident" and steals money from his own stylists. so if you do go tip directly to your stylist with cash so at least they actually get your tip. absolutely disgusted with the management i dont even know how they are still open. read more

I took my daughter to get blonde highlights in her hair. Pretty straightforward, right? She even chose a picture of what she wanted. Here we are, 4 months later with an orange, frizzy mess. Her hair never looked highlighted at all. In fact, from the moment the stylist started blowing it dry, it looked orange all over. We thought....oh well.....it'll fade in a few weeks. Did I mention, here we are 4 months later??? Her hair is completely damaged and looks ridiculous. We are extremely disappointed and will never recommend this place to anyone. read more

This is my new hair spot! Kelle did an awesome job with my hair and had great suggestions because I had no idea what to do with it. The owner Rich is hilarious and everyone in there is very attentive to your needs. First experience was awful amd im not going back. If they mess up ur hair they will not care and fix it. I cried on my way home because of their terrible job. This guy showed me a picture of a brown hair with blonde highlights and then boom i see black hair with two ugly brown highlights. I dont know what he smokes. I tell him this looks nothing like the picture you suggested yourself and he says oh if u want that it would be $500, then why the hell you suggested something and did something else without even discussing with me??? He grab his phone and walk away trying to avoid me. The owner didnt accept to fix it either. This experience feels like a nightmare and will stay with me forever. I still cant believe them it sounds like a joke. To respond to the owner, he is a big liar. They are closed on sunday so i called on Monday morning and he said he will call me by end of the day and he didnt bother to call. I gave them few days and still no call then i left the review. I asked for brown color and they gave me black hair (surprise) I didn't know what the stylist did until the end. This was my first time ever going to a salon and I was very impressed, I asked for highlights and he listened and did exactly what I told him. Stylists were very friendly and make me feel comfortable. They also give you complimentary drinks which is a plus. They only issue I had was he was very rough with my hair and didn't brush it through before starting so I had to deal with yanking and a really sore scalp, but over all I walked out happy and it was pretty good experience. read more

Emilie shows a true dedication to having a top notch facility. They have the latest products and it's clear that they are constantly updating their education, to achieve the latest styles and trends. I travel all over the country on business and they are on par with any high end salon out there. I highly recommend for blondes, as we all know the skill it takes to get just the right blonde. My stylist in Arizona was trained in New York and Italy he does a great job but charges $$$$$$ and I have to deal with the ego that comes with some legendary stylists. I came in needing an updo in a hurry and the salon was incredibly accommodating, taking me in 15 minutes before my scheduled appointment. I asked for a low and loose updo, and showed my stylist a few photos for inspiration. No specific style, just any they wanted and whatever was simplest and fastest. My original stylist, seemingly a lesser experienced one, started out but I could see she was having trouble determining how to execute the look she wanted. She so asked for help from a more veteran stylist, and the two collaborated to create a beautiful look for my fine hair. It was great to see them working together, using it as a learning opportunity and still getting me out as soon as they could. read more

Worst customer service I have ever had!!! Even worse with it coming from the owner! I came to this salon for the first time so excited because I haven't had my hair done in over a year. At first everyone was friendly, which was nice. The hygiene of the salon overall was not appealing. Very dirty, but my turning point was when my ending look was nothing compared to what I asked ask for. My hair is very simple to color, and what I asked for/shown a picture of was the most basic highlight. I wasn't upset because not everyone is perfect, but when I called to talk about what we can do to fix it the owner Rich was so extremely disrespectful! He began raising his voice and yelling at me in front of everyone at the salon because I was simply telling him I did not agree with spending $210 on something I did not ask for or want. I have never been so disrespected by an owner of any store, ever. This is not how you treat your clients and not a good way to get anyone back into the salon for a second try. I just hope not everyone gets treated this way. So hurtful. read more

Bad customer service. I had an appointment set. They emailed me with a confirmation and then the morning of text me with a reminder of the appointment. 20 mins before my scheduled apointment, while I was already driving there, they called me. The woman said they had changed the hairdressers schedule and couldn't get me in until a half hour later. When I explained that I was in a time crunch and couldn't do a half hour later she told me that they could just "rush through it". That's not what I want when I am paying for an expensive hair cut. I understand that schedules change and things happen however, they shouldn't be calling the client 20 mins before their appointment time. I planned my day around this and got a babysitter which I will still have to pay. The receptionist was rude and not professional. I will be going elsewhere. read more

After having my hair screwed up by another salon, I spoke to the Owner of 209. Told him about my previous experience and stressed that I wanted a colorist with experience. He assured me that Traci would be perfect for the job and I made an appointment, even with the price of over $200 for a cut and color. I stressed to the stylist that I did not want mousy or brunette hair, wanted to remain a blonde. After 3.5 hours in her chair, I now have pure ash hair! I texted the owner the following day and he promised to make it right and to speak to Traci and call me back. Six days later, no communication from the owner and obviously no intention to correct the situation. I will not return and will definitely not recommend! read more
