The food, vibe and drinks were great on a hot day while traveling with the @jetsettingdivas in Myrtle Beach

May 16, 2026 I visited with a party of three. Our server was wonderful, and her service was exceptional -- unfortunately, that's where the positive experience ended. We ordered fish tacos, mussels, wings, and a grouper sandwich. After taking one bite of a wing, I realized it was raw inside. I immediately informed our server, who apologized, and the kitchen manager removed the wings from the bill. Needless to say, after that experience, the rest of our group barely touched their food. After paying, the other members of my party mentioned that the taco shells seemed frozen and the mussels were overcooked and extremely rubbery. Later that evening, I became sick and spent much of the night in the bathroom, which I believe was caused by the raw chicken. I called the restaurant to speak with the manager, and from the beginning, he was defensive, blaming the issue on a new cook. When I calmly explained the other disappointing aspects of the meal and simply asked him to make the situation right, he became increasingly argumentative. He repeatedly insisted that it wasn't his fault and claimed they had never received complaints about the food before. To be clear, I never asked for a full refund -- I only expected some acknowledgment beyond removing the wings from the bill. Instead, the manager became rude and hostile, so I eventually ended the call. I would not recommend dining here. The management was extremely unprofessional and unwilling to take responsibility for serious food quality issues, especially considering the high prices. Save your money and eat literally anywhere else. We spent over $50 here and I couldn't even eat a single bite because the quality was so foul. The Oysters Rockefeller were disgustingly slimy, the hollandaise sauce had zero flavor, and the crab cakes were a total disaster--squishy, greasy, oily, and smelled like rotten seafood. Complete waste of money. Save yourself the headache and head down the street to the New China buffet instead. Night and day difference--absolutely phenomenal. read more

I was craving oysters and stumbles upon Dirty Don's. They have indoor and outside seating; inside is pretty small. I sat outside and they had live entertainment. The staff was nice and checked on me throughout my visit. When my server had to help a larger party, another server came and let me know and she took over. I ordered a daiquiri and the oyster sampler. The oysters Rockefeller were served cold, which I didn't care for. And there were tons of flys outside, which deterred me from ordering more food. read more

Small place, there might be more outdoor seating, but since I had my dog, we weren't allowed to sit inside anyway, and it was pretty cold outside. Tried the happy hour clams and mussels--honestly, skip it. The clams were so tiny it didn't feel worth ordering. I also got two blackened fish tacos, which were pretty good--I'd probably order them again. The street corn was good as well. Anthony liked it too. Last night we decided to try dirty don's again. This time, it was a whole new experience. We sat at the bar and ordered cocktails. I went with a lemon drop. We then decided to share the oysters Rockefeller. They were delicious and covered in bacon. Then on our own. I ordered the ribs with Asian sauce and he ordered the southern lobster roll. He said it was the best lobster roll he ever tasted (better than Claw House.). My ribs came. They were huge. No time for dessert but I think we will be back. For a touristy venue near Ocean Boulevard, Dirty Don's is a good choice for individual or family dining. While the venue is small As a midwesterner, I don't often get seafood, so my palate may not be as refined as east coast residents used to fresh shellfish. That being said, my oysters on the half shell and lobster roll were solid. I'm unclear of what Yelper Joe C. is alluding to with service...although I have only been to Myrtle Beach during their seasonal window (late May - early Sept). I'd imagine it's a bit less supported when students are back in school. I do agree with Yelper Denise T.--happy hour beverages are extremely limited; not what you'd hope for. read more

Stinks - Tourist Trap Let's start with the only positive, the place is on the boardwalk. Positivity over. Awful food, awful service, terrible measured fake craft cocktails, and extremely overpriced. I literally have nothing positive to say. We ordered an oyster platter, they were clearly frozen. Peel and eat shrimp rubbery. Tuna avocado boats with none sushi grade tuna. We stopped here for an early dinner after walking up and down Main Street so we were definitely hungry. It was a nice day and there was plenty of open outdoor seating. The outdoor picnic tables had umbrellas and there was cornhole boards to play while we waited. The place was decorated with a heavy nautical theme and you could tell it was very touristy. I really didn't mind that though since we're on a beach vacation and we were technically tourists. We started with an order of steamed oysters. They were pretty good but we had to shuck them ourselves. I wish they would have done that for us. I ordered a Pineapple Blonde Ale that wasn't very good but that was on me, I should have asked for a sample first. I got the Oyster Po Boy for my dinner and was VERY impressed. It was delicious and they were fried perfectly, not overcooked or rubbery. And seriously, try the French Fries. They are they best I've ever had. I don't claim to be a French Fry connoisseur, but I really REALLY loved these. read more

We stopped in for happy hour and found that it is very limited and they only had michelob ultra on draft for happy hour. They were out of everything else. We ended up with local beers not on happy hour and a bit pricey. We order their happy hour food that consisted of peel and eat shrimp, crawfish and boneless wings. Their happy hour menu doesn't state it but it isn't good for bone in wings, just boneless. I'll start with the good. the local beers were delicious and the bartender was really nice and knowledgeable. He told us how to get to the local brewery, which we went to after this and had a great time. The shrimp was good and easy to peel. The crawfish were obviously extremely old. The meat itself was grey and mushy. It was disgusting. My husband tried eating 3 and then had to send them back. The bartender (listed as B Gus) probably looked at them in the back and realized how bad they were and he took it off the tap. The boneless wings were not tossed in the sauce, just dry chunks of chicken. You had to dip them otherwise they didn't have any flavor. Overall it was okay. We stopped by after a trade show for dinner. We had fried oysters, salads, hush puppies. Everything was delicious! The oysters were fried to perfection. Not dry or over cooked. The waitress was so nice and accommodating. She stayed with us the whole time and took care of everything. The bar has a lot of old seafarer antiques and fish mounts. Happened upon this place by accident. Had a cold beer and some fantastic grilled fish tacos, portion was huge and so good. Highly recommend.

My green tea green light drink was great and that's where it ended. The lemons in our waters looked like they had already been used. Our server was rude and rushed us with placing an order and we ordered oysters on the half shell, never got those and the food we did finally get was completely wrong and disgusting. This is a great local place!!! There are four locations, but this is our favorite. Mostly because of born and raised South Carolina Justin behind the bar!! The atmosphere is super beachy! Watch out for the sharks!! The menu has something for ever but do try the fresh raw oysters!! And the Rockefeller is delicious!!! read more

I ordered the fish and chips. My wife had the fish tacos. It's on the beach so expect to pay a premium. The fish and chips was mediocre. Fish was bland, and floppy. The fires were about half the amount of a McDonalds small. I wasn't impressed. The fish tacos my wife had weren't terrible, probably the better plate of the two. The service was good, and our waitress was attentive. Unless you absolutely need to eat on the beach, I would probably walk on by. read more

Like many I did not have high expectations for what I assumed was a tourist trap, but Dirty Don's was within walking distance to our hotel and it had Oysters in the name so we gave it a try. We ordered oysters (duh) to start and a couple of Coronas. My wife and I both ordered the blackened fish and chips. The oysters were fine, but the fish and chips were much better than we expected.
