We stopped through here for lunch during the week while we were on Davis Island for an appt - parking wasn't too difficult to find, there's a bunch of street parking right along the front of the restaurant. It wasn't very busy, we were helped right away when we walked in. Our waitress was really friendly and attentive! The restaurant reminds me of the small town tavern/restaurants like from the little place we grew up in Oklahoma - nothing incredibly fancy, but you can tell it is well liked by the locals and probably gets pretty busy in the evenings with its regulars. I ordered the burger and sweet potato fries - the sweet potato fries were so good, highly recommend getting them in place of the regular fries. My bf ordered the French dip sandwich, he said it was also really good, and he enjoyed his fries but wished he would've ordered the sweet potato fries after trying mine haha We'd definitely stop in again next time we're out near Davis Island!

3.5 Stars When I lived on Davis Islands, I used to eat here regularly. Once I moved off the island, however, I never made it back. Flash forward to a Friday lunch with the girls, and we were able to make a reservation here, so I came back to my old stomping ground. Our waiter was busy, but very personable and efficient, and though drinks took some time to appear, once the food order was in, it all arrived in a timely manner. Our group of four started with the fried green tomatoes topped with goat cheese appetizer, and though obviously not made in-house, they were surprisingly good. My friend and I split two lunch entrees - the fish tacos and the special of the day, an ahi salad. For $1 extra, they actually split the salad for us, which was incredibly convenient. Both meals were good, and a generous portion, although I do wish the fish in both had more (any?) flavor. I think their prices are a little high for the quality of what you get, but I understand that's probably to cover the cost of being located on Davis Islands. They have a small parking lot out front which is usually full, but fortunately there is plenty of street parking and neighborhood parking nearby. Even after all these years, 220 East is still a solid choice to grab a leisurely lunch.

Cool little spot right on Davis Avenue. Quick service and friendly servers. The food was good. The presentation of the Bavarian pretzel was uniquely exciting although the cheese dip that accompanied it wasn't very flavorful. The Calamari Fingers were delicious. Perfectly battered, they were lighter than most. The Chicken Quesadillas were also really good. Also noteworthy were the Cuban Sandwich and the Seafood Linguini. Overall, a large selection of appetizers, salads and entrees. Almost anything you're hungry for you can find on this menu (from burgers to pasta to pizza ... Filet Mignon to Soft Shell Crab ... Apple Pie to Creme Brûlée) . Perfect for a date or a family dinner. And a shout out to our server, Abby, who was super friendly and attentive!

Eh, it's ok. Nothing to write about. Service mediocre. Grub, tasteless on the Lobster Bisque and to much bread on the BLT. Cheers

Two thumbs up for Niki's Smashburger. Love the vibes. Service is top tier. Bottomless mimosas are flowing.

My father exclaimed, "Frasier! These fries are just as good as McDonalds!" I rebutted," They very well may be dad..."

220 East? More like, get me 220 miles east of this establishment. Tonight I dined here with my father who had been craving a cheeseburger (much to my chagrin, my famous home cooked duck à l'orange was not suitable for his palate). My father's cheeseburger was overcooked, sprinkled with bagged shredded cheese, and bun- untoasted. Do not even get me started regarding the random lemon wedge on my plate. Was it garnish? And why had only one of us been selected as holder of the lemon wedge- it was biased and unbalanced. For the record... garnish should not contain seeds! I can only describe this place to be a "fictional depiction of a restaurant one would find in an Off-Broadway play, its food false and a mockery of dining." My father Martin however noted the restaurant was charming, with "cozy" lighting and kitchy Christmas lights around the perimeter of the ceiling. All I wanted was for my detective father to have the pleasant cheeseburger that he had been craving. Maybe this time he'll think twice about passing up an offer of my duck à l'orange. I should have just taken him to McDonalds- but with the looks of the fries we received, it seems like we might have done that already. I'm listening, Tampa. Today, I took a stroll over to Turntable, a cozy eatery just outside the JW Marriott Tampa Water Street. Turntable is a laid-back, quick-service spot where food is handed out from a street-level window, making the whole experience casual and inviting. With its music-themed menu and outdoor seating, it's the perfect place to grab a bite and soak in the downtown Tampa vibe. The menu features creative burgers, sandwiches, loaded fries, and other playful offerings inspired by music and pop culture. For lunch, I opted for the Caesar Mix-a-Lot Salad - a fresh combination of chopped romaine, shredded parmesan, mini herbed croutons, and a flavorful garlic parmesan dressing. It was light, refreshing, and perfect for a warm Florida afternoon. One of the most unique menu items is the Doechii Donut, named after Tampa's own Grammy-winning rapper Doechii. I went with one of their Summer special bowls, the Picnic Bowl, described as blackened chicken, quinoa (which I substituted sweet potato for), summer vegetable medley, fried onion topping, corn salsa, romaine, and a jalapeno ranch dressing. Even writing this review, it hurts to look at the picture on their webpage of what it should have been, with nice chunks of chicken versus the shredded into minuscule pieces I received. And their picture shows a bright vegetable medley versus the cooked to mushy veggies I received. Plus. I think the crispy onions saturating the top of my whole salad was just to disguise how unappealing it actually was. This was a fail for me, and more than half of it went into the garbage can.
