Overall, it's a good value gym. However, it is extremely busy and with that many people paying a monthly membership you would think having wifi would be a no brainer. I am extremely disappointed, frustrated, and angered by the recent management decision to discontinue the Thursday morning Aqua class! This view is shared by many, but more on that later! in addition to THIS decision, another issue, as stated in a previous post, is the ...lack luster..." maintence and cleanliness overall! Issue number three is communication! 1.). Cancelling one of two (which used to be 3!) aqua classes, deprives members of a regular, consistent, low impact, quality workout! Members chose this activity for a variety of health reasons, including Dr. prescribed! For some, this feels discriminatory, as the majority are seniors, however, not ALL! Instructor, Suzy is very professional and has thoughtfully and carefully introduced several "water fearful" members to the class! We are told the reason for cancellation of the Thursday class was low numbers. So now the class has gone from 8-10-12 participants to 0! How does that make economic sense? 2.) Maintence and cleanliness! Wow...has this taken a nose dive, for a relatively "new" club!!! The spa was back up and running this past Saturday after being down for almost 4 weeks. The pool was closed last fall for 2+ months because of a heater issue! The ladies locker room and showers frequently have gobs of hair and/or towels left on the floor! We are told that the pool is maintained at 84 degrees! Our data is anecdotal, but there are large fluctuations in water temperature, from one day to the next! Rust is forming on the lift chair! Stainless ladder grips need attention! 3) Communication: THIS IS HUGE!!!! In a word...NONE! Being told the class was cancelled due to low numbers caused many of us to question that position! Perhaps from a financial point of view...true....however AT NO TIME, in my two year membership have I, or other members EVER seen the "Aqua class" advertised or promoted on any advertising or promotion materials! The ONLY PLACE IS ON THE WEEKLY SCHEDULE!!! Thus the belief of discrimination and/or perhaps personnel (yes, I spelled it correctly) issues with our outstanding instructor! One member reported a conversation wit a trainer about the Aqua class, and the trainer knew nothing about it! Being told "there are other things we can do, is NOT A SOLUTION! I Signed up in October and decided to come in and cancel my membership in after only 3 months. Primarily due to how crowded it is, unclean, and lack of parking. When I went in to cancel they told me I owe for the remainder of my contract. A total of $200. I have to pay $200 to cancel. They told me it's the type of contract I signed up with. First off I was never given an option upon signing up. I was told the price and signed up. My mistake for not asking for paperwork. Never received an email confirmation either. George who is the manager did not specify details that I will be on a contract. When i went in to cancel the girl at the front desk was had a bit of an attitude problem and was ignoring most of my question or deflecting them with "that's too bad, not my problem"As far as the facility goes. First off...I din't know what's wrong with Mirra M. Old people deserve to go to the gym, too!! I am almost 55 and appreciate that there are older people here getting in better shape. The gym is very clean. I don't go during the peak rush times so I can't speak to it being crazy busy. It does look like they have a lot of staff standing around and yet they are hiring. Nice equipment but poorly managed. This relatively new gym has the standard 24 hour equipment you would expect from a 24 hour club, but it is a shame that it's poorly managed. What I like: +Swimming pool+spa+sauna, towel service nice, but expected for the "super" sport price. +Cardio machines have own personal tv screens. +Nice shower/lockers and clean What I dislike: -often overly crowded -no real area to do ab workouts , except for a very tiny area that probably only fits one or two people max. -no wifi -shower water temperature is only luke warm on most showers. -equipment is poorly planned out. For example, they only have 2 rope pull downs , whereas most gyms have 4. For a gym this size, you would expect at least 4 or more. Lots of other cases of similar equipment limitations. I get the feeling that the management is either too cheap or clueless on fitness equipment in general. What needs to change: -better management -install free wifi -spend a little more $$ to have the water temperature a littler hotter than the current luke warm temperature -Consult with the members and find out which equipment accessories are lacking/missing or need more of. Overall: This gym is just ok, but with bad management this gym will sink slowly over the next couple of years. read more

I've been to all the gyms - I always come back to 24. This particular review was inspired because today I had noticed a had a flat tire in the parking lot. I asked an employee who was heading out on his lunch break if he knew the address at the gym so I could call road side assistance to help me put my spare on. He said he would help me instead. Not only did he help me on his break, but another employee came and helped out as well. They changed my tire in a matter of minutes so I could go get it changed, and I'll still have enough time to get my work out in today. Brand new super sport facility. Easily accessible location that offers a variety of Les Mills classes. Group X and Cardio machines are upstairs. Weights and TRX equipment are on the main level. I really like the towel service. Every single thing appears to be brand new. They offer a special type of treadmill that I haven't seen at the other clubs- the kind that simulate running on a track and field type course. They also have all the traditional cardio machines as well. There is also plenty of parking. I have not tried personal training, however. I am looking forward to trying out the pool and saunas. read more

I really like this gym, but the lack of attention to detail is tough to handle. Fair cost, good equipment, basketball court, friendly staff. However, the staff almost never reorganizes the weights. The members should put things back where they're supposed to go, but they never do at any club, so the staff just needs to do it. They also don't pay attention to the TVs. I'm doing cardio right now and Two and a Half Men is on 4 TVs. Sunday night football on none. Lastly, 2 out of 3 basketballs have been lop sided for weeks. Why have a court if you can't get a round ball? I can get one off Amazon in 2 days, but this gym can't get new ones in a month. I've let the manager know twice, with no response. I may make the undesirable change to Golds. read more

I really need to update my review as it has been nearly 6 months since the last, and since then thanks to this gym and to trainer Hunter Faber, my life has truly changed. He helped me lose nearly 50 lbs and keep it off over this past year. I cannot say enough positive things about Hunter as a trainer, a friend, and one of the most knowledgeable people when it comes to health and nutrition. If you want to change your life and start feeling healthier and happier, go talk to Hunter. I live nearly an hour away now but still plan on starting up sessions with him again this upcoming year. Me and my wife went to this 24 Hour Fitness center in 18006 120th Ave NE, Bothell, WA 98011. They told us that if we both enrolled we could use the Kid's club to leave our kid when we use the gym. But they didn't mention that using the Kid's club would require additional fees for signing up for another membership. And when we were enrolling our kid was with us. So it would be natural for the person assisting us to mention that the kid needs a membership as well. But he didn't. We got to know that later on when we tried to use the Kid's club. At that time my wife wanted to cancel her membership. She did and the manager told us that they would refund the money for her membership. When we didn't see the refund in almost 2 months, we called again. The manager changed what he said before and said that they cannot refund the money. Had the manager told us at the beginning that he wouldn't be able to refund the money maybe my wife would try to use the gym for a few days. Because of their failure to give us the full information (about Kid's club) and giving us wrong information (about refunding) we lost two months of payment - for which my wife didn't use the gym for a single day. I hope this review helps some people to avoid getting into the same situation in future. And also the manager had a 'we don't care ... we are keeping the money whether its reasonable or not' attitude. So know everything before you signup. read more

It was time to join a gym and get my winter body moving. I am so glad I joined the 24 hour fitness in Bothell. I was hesitant to join a gym but I made the best choice, I love this place. The atmosphere is great; I like the open feel and the place is clean! I can always get a lane for swimming and kudos to the sauna/steam room. I like that they have alot of varied cardio machines, so even at their peak time, after work I can get on a machine. I took the spin class last night and the instructor was great. Thanks to my great trainer, Trevor, I am getting into shape. He is the best! Thanks 24 hour, you are the best! read more

After being a member at Anytime Fitness, I was so glad to make the switch to 24 Hour Fitness. This gym has a great variety of both classes and machines. I LOVE the Sauna and Steam Room! The staff is great. The location works well for me. I like the facilities and the layout. My issue, having being a member for nearly 2 years, is that the pool is closed so often. There have been three closures that have lasted multiple weeks (often nearing a month). There have also been closures of the spa. I would give negative rating if I could. Not only we have to wait for classes to get done to use the squat racks but today one of the personal trainers at this terrible facility took away the equipment from us so that other members could use the space for doing exercises that don't even require the use of a squat rack or a barbell. This is absolutely outrageous. We cancelled our membership on the spot but the GM David (who doesn't know anything about commitment to members or fitness) refused to cancel one of them, stating we made a year commitment. What about your commitment to members, David!? You disrespect your members by taking the equipment from them, making them wait for equipment for 30-45 mins so other users can do ab crunches on the floor by the squat racks. read more

I have been a member of every gym in this area and this one is simply the best! It's huge and they have multiple versions of everything.

It's a new facility with all new equipment. Extra large (Super Sport). Location is excellent, with plenty of parking. I like the modern sign-in using biometrics, thus no need to keep track of a gym card on tether. It also has a place to drop your kids off so you can go work out. Pool is only three lanes but is for adults only, no kids. Plenty of classes, which I have yet to try. I appreciated that they had the option to just go month to month rather than require a full year contract. read more

After researching various options for gym memberships, I decided to join the 24-Hour Fitness Super Sport in Bothell. The club itself is amazing and offers a lot of exercise options and including cardio machines, circuit training, free weights, a basketball court, fitness classes, yoga and swimming. There is plenty to keep you motivated and challenged. Every time I go the facility is clean and I am always greeted by a friendly person at the counter. Recently I was able to meet with one of their master trainer, Hunter Faber and was very impressed with his expertise and customer service. Hunter took the time to understand my fitness goals and to set up a plan that would maximize my success. He also discussed nutrition as well. I would highly recommend Hunter to anyone that is looking to get in shape. After my consultation, I am very confident that I will reach my fitness goals! read more

I'm going to start off by saying I have been a member here since Day 1. I remember when it was still getting built, and the day it was finished I got a membership. I have loved this 24 gym ever since. Today I had the WORST customer service EVER. I came in Saturday after 9pm and got a pass for my friend. They told me passes only worked from 9am to 9pm (wasn't written in the rules). I said ok and came back the next day. This time, after I had already gotten the pass Saturday, they questioned my friends age and said his ID was not valid. I pointed in the rules that it could be any ID and it didn't have to be a driver's license (since I drove my friend and he didn't have his driver's license with him) and FRANK the manager told me, "I make up the rules, have a nice day" and turned around and walked away. Never stepping foot inside a 24 ever again after being treated like that. read more

I just signed up 2 weeks ago with my boyfriend. I am going in tomorrow to cancel my membership because I cannot stand this place. It is always PACKED and some of the staff act either like they could care less about their job or they are too cool for you. But that is not why I will no longer be a part of or support 24 Hour Fitness. I left my necklace in the sauna (I had to take it off because it was burning my skin) and during my workout I remembered that I had taken it off and ran back to go grab it. It was gone. We searched all over the sauna and asked the front desk but they did not have it. A front desk employee went into the sauna and when she came back to talk to me about it she said a woman had told her that a man picked the necklace up and told her that he would give it to the front desk on his way out. He never gave it to them. I got the police involved and 24 Hour Fitness didn't even want to help. The 24 Hour Fitness "our policy" states, "4.3 Legal Requests or Requirements and to Prevent Harm. We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on 24 Hour Fitness. We may also share information when we have a good faith belief it is necessary to prevent fraud or other illegal activity, to prevent imminent bodily harm, or to prevent harm to 24 Hour Fitness, our members or other individuals. This may include sharing information with other companies, lawyers, courts or other government entities." They could have probably helped solve this whole situation but they chose not to. They seem to try and do as little work as possible. - aside from this situation, the minute you give them your number or anyone that you might want to come with you as a guest's number, they will NEVER stop calling. read more

Comparing with all the 24 fitness club, the gym from Bothell city is the best club so far. People are friendly, very polite, and helpful. I have never seem any problems with the supplies that the gym offers like towels, toilet paper, shampoo, etc. It is clean most of time, just few time at night after 10:30, I have seem the basket where you put the dirty towels are extremely full all of them, but the rest of the service that this gym gives are excellent. Well, I've gone since they opened which is not that long, honestly. It's packed most of the time. I mean, really busy. And like all 24 hours, they'll keep adding people till you can't find parking or a free machine. The pool was my favorite part as I love to swim, however, it's now a rest area for the old and elderly. Also, lots of old men wearing very small swimsuits, which is just plain gross to me. This is not your private pool. Put some clothes on. One guy brought his laptop in to the hot tub and sat and watched television on it. Are you kidding me? Chunks of things floating in pool and it often smells very bad already. They tour people constantly and brought some people through the locker room and stood there talking while I had no clothes on. I felt extremely uncomfortable. There were other places for them to stand. They only have crappy body wash in showers. No shampoo or conditioner. Lots of meatheads and women with very little clothing staring at themselves in the mirrors so feels a little like a dating club for the fitness obsessed. I'd go elsewhere if it weren't 2 minutes from my place. The stretching/hiit/free weight/whatever area is pretty much non-existent. Pros- yeah, everything is new. It's a new gym. read more

It's a gym with lots of cardio equipment, weights and classes. However with UW Bothell right there, it is always busy morning and night. There are so many college kids "hanging out there" not really working out. And they keep trying to get more and people. It's the same price as Gold's gym, I'd recommend going there. read more

I can't believe all the negative reviews , this gym is the nicest, cleanest, gym I have ever been to . I have been to many over the course of my life and they are very run down , smelly , and gross . I have had the Best experience from the minute you walk into the place , always get greeted coming or going and the staff is very up beat and kind. Even the people that go there seem more up beat than others gyms . Lots of smile's and just a general feeling of happiness . Was optimistic when I joined in Sept but....Be forewarned; Showers in women's dressing room have had cold water/mixed with warm for over a month (Dec/Jan) and management continues to say they are "working on it." This in combination with mold showing up on pool deck on a facility that is not even a year old should warn prospective members. They continue to try to add membership when parking lots are full, locker rooms are full. They are obviously in it to maximize membership even at member comfort levels. Staff does not enforce "no shoes" rule in whirlpool. My decision to leave YMCA down the street may have been a mistake. read more
