I honestly don't know know where to start. I definitely had a stressful and overwhelming issue that occured to my very first home purchase. I believe that this review would not have been so pleasant if it wasnt for a few amazing people who completely changed the way i felt. Before i explain alittle more in depth i would like to Thank *Jake *Dennis and *Duane you guys are the reason why i am Happy with 24 restore. I personally thank you 3 because you have gone over and beyond for myself and my family, I couldnt be more grateful.. With that said, i had a issue with my house upon moving in. The water pipes that ran through my entire house froze up causing major water damage to all 4 levels of my house. The recon team immediately came to my rescue and started removing all water damaged areas throughout my home,they even went as far as staying over night to make sure all of the water was gone. (Awesome job guys) From there i did fall into a rough patch with my previous project manager, we didn't seem to see eye to eye and i wasnt being updated or explain to of problems that was happening with in my home. I finally called chris the manager of 24 restore and he handled the problem instantly, within the day Jake came to our rescue. I felt very overwhelmed having another project manager taking over this huge incomplete project and no having any idea what was going on. However from the first day he walked in to my house he assured me he would fix everything that was damaged and address any and all concerns i had..Thats exactly what he did...Its now 4 1/2 months in and just today everything was completed as promised, signed the paperwork of completion and said our goodbyes...Duane (painter) was finishing up on a few last things he immediately called out for my attention, and my heart fell to my stomach another water leak that we are unable to determine where its leaking from. He called jake within seconds explained what was going on and jake contacted me shortly after explain that he would have a plumber our here and not to worry he would help me figure out whats going on. Even though there is another issue occuring out of no where i can honestly say my family and I are in good hands and i believe without a doubt this will be handled Quickly and professionally....Thank you to Jake, Dennis, Duane and 24 restore for all the hard work you guys put into my home and i do highly recommend asking for jake for any problems you may have. DO NOT USE THEIR COMPANY!!! First look at the names of postive reviews. Half of them are people that work at the company, they must offer a bonus for a good review. The other half of good reviews is from family or contractors they work with! They will take your money and run! They have done it to HUNDREDS of people! They overcharge the insurance for things that don't even exist in your house and for it multiple times! They charge for work they don't do. And hound for payments even when they've been sent by the insurance company and the insurance company shows its been delivered and received by 24restore. Chris is a joke! His arrogance and sexism is very unprofessional. The owner, Derek West is a carbon copy! Horrible! They dont finish jobs and jobs take 2, 3, 4 times as long as they say. The work is shotty. They cut corners all the time! They had to demo our ceiling after a house fire and they cut through almost all our trusses! When we called about our house collapsing! With a heavy snowfall coming too, we got swore at by Megan and telling us "my son might have autism but you don't see me calling anyone at 8pm about it!" Who was our first construction manager in the project. One of the cleaning people wanted to buy our home from us. UNPROFESSIONAL ALL AROUND!! The biggest thing : they changed documents AFTER we signed them!! Hello! We have the carbon copy! The MN department of Labor and Industry was sure interested in all the documents and the story. Stay far away from this company. In my experience, they treat their contract like a blank check. If you question charges, they respond by filing in Minnesota conciliation court. They volume-file cases and run it like a mill--the judge gave me roughly 30 seconds to speak, which isn't enough time to present evidence or explain discrepancies. There were major issues with their documentation, including missing moisture data and psychrometric numbers that made no thermodynamic sense. None of that mattered. There's simply no opportunity to walk the judge through the errors--the court focuses almost entirely on the contract, not the quality or validity of the work. If you're curious how often they do this, the MCRO website is public. Audit your bill carefully. After I requested itemized line charges, taxes were removed from my bill. Also watch for 150% "after-hours" surcharges that you did not request. These appear to be based on their internal scheduling, not customer choice. If you're the last stop for a moisture check, you may be charged 150% more for their convenience. Their interest rate also appears to exceed Minnesota limits, which is another red flag worth verifying before signing or paying anything. On top of that, the office staff were some of the most unprofessional people I've dealt with--hostile, dismissive, and combative instead of transparent or helpful. If you don't want to feel completely ripped off, avoid this company. The whole experience left me wanting to cleanse my house with sage and holy water--and myself with a long shower. read more

My opinion: Very unprofessional and causing MORE DAMAGE THAN RESTORATION. Everyone makes mistakes, but 24Restore does not take ownership of their work. My home under construction had very superficial mold forming on the surface of its newly textured ceiling due to high humidity from later passing rain storms. While not covered by insurance, my State Farm agent recommended 24 Restore, whom I expected would follow standard practice by applying a surface sprayed or fogged treatment using commonly available Concrobium or the like to kill and seal the mold, so I could then spray paint over with a stain/fungal blocking base coat. Not 24Restore, throughout the house they instead scrubbed/scraped the ceiling clear down to the sheet rock, leaving a ceiling full of empty patches where there had been a new and uniform ceiling texture. When asking them to address this, they called to talk over the top of every point I tried to make, and dismissed any responsibility whatsoever for damaging the ceiling finish. Their appointed caller had the demeanor of a delinquent adolescent making it very clear to me he could care less about what amounted to vandalism of the new ceiling. 24 Restore appears well connected with insurance companies for recommending their service, but if you don't have an insurance company involved in the outcome, expect to be appalled. HORRIBLE! Buyer beware. Over 200 lawsuits against customers even with insurance claims for damage to properties. Dominic was HORRIBLE, immature and voiced cutting corners and doing subpar work. He discussed how his mom was an oncologist at the U of M and hit him with a cooking pan as teenage, break ups with his girlfriend and more. Unprofessional all over. Mislead and lied about the forced contract they make you sign even for an estimate UNETHICAL at best. When I contacted the company to get a different more professional project manager they sent me back to him whom was once again rude and horrible. The contract is a 3 day cancelation window and they REFUSE to get you the estimate within that time period.... Essentially enforcing the contract without knowing what you are in. Midwest flooring source is their whole saler for flooring. They have had similar experience with 24 restore. They also don't recommend them. I also requested to speak with supervisor and that was refused by Dominic and quote " you can only speak to them if it becomes a legal issue so you have to go through me" I also requested a call from someone else and I have YET to get a call back from anyone or my estimate. Recently my family and I had moved to Minnesota to experience an exciting new chapter in our lives. We got to our new home rushed into our house, all excited, it seemed like a magical experience. We noticed that the house seemed a little colder then usual, 47* to be exact. So we focused on Heating and got that resolved... we then took notice that there was some water leaking, first one leak, then tons of leaks. We were told of a company 24Restore, We called and they arrived at our home within 40mins. The Service provider Jason M.showed up, all prepared and started doing his work. He and his partner thoroughly worked on all the issues they had noticed and worked throughout the night. He worked until it was 12:30am, did all the work that had to be done and cleaned up after it was done. I was so impressed with his workmanship, his friendly attitude the overall experience. 24Restore and Jose T. have been such an amazing asset in getting our water leak remedied. Jose is professional, extremely knowledgeable and has gone above and beyond for us. He noticed a loose stair step going leading down to our basement and secured it for us! I've never met a service professional that embodies that title more than Jose. He made our next appointment with the estimator- for us, and also suggested who else we need to call to get our water damage situation fixed. He not only helped our home get back to normal, he helped us along the way. This is our first water damage situation as homeowners and Jose and 24Restore made a bad situation much better and much easier than we could have imagined. Rick Penfield was with us every step of the way helping us with our water damage. He did an excellent job keeping not only us informed, but all others involved, i.e. the plumber and insurance adjuster. What we most appreciated was his honesty, knowledge, thoroughness, communication and follow through. Our water damage was traumatic- VERY extensive and involved multiple rooms. As a result 24 Restore needed to check daily on the progress, resetting equipment as necessary. Rick was the one to come every day which is something 24 Restore (or Rick) did not have to do. Everyone from 24Restore was professional, kind and did an outstanding job of damage assessment and restoration. Matt Erickson our project manager for the reconstruction was exceedingly kind and professional. He worked with me on all details and went out of his way to please and make sure everything went well - if there were glitches he responded promptly and professionally and immediately remediated. We closed on a home three weeks ago and then experienced basement water seepage unexpectedly after a heavy rain. We had a water overflow from our return line on the washing machine when no one was in the home, the water went through our kitchen, through the venting system and into the basement where it dripped from drywall seams, light cans and speakers in the ceiling. When we called 24 restore the same day, they were able to come out the same day, but scheduled for the next morning. Jose and Mike came out promptly at 9 AM, they explained everything very thoroughly after looking at all the damage, set up their equipment and explained how everything worked. We had an emergency when our water pipes burst and flooded the home. 24 Restore sent Jose T. within 2-hours to begin the restoration. Jose was very professional and had the drying process set-up within 7-hours. 16 fans, driers, dehumidifiers, etc. were in place and operational before he left that first night. He is a very hard worker and knows his stuff. He also performed the demolition of the effected areas. Everything was fine except some damage (scratches and wood chip) to a media cabinet and some broken trim. Considering the area that was ruined this seemed minor. I called mid-afternoon regarding water damage to our basement when our wash machine malfunctioned and flooded a large portion of our living space. Jose and the team were at my house shortly after that phone call and did an amazing job at getting the clean up process going. We were absolutely grateful to 24 restore for their quick response to a water damage emergency. They were able to assist us even though it was late at night on a cold/rainy evening. Chris was extremely helpful in setting up services and coordinating a crew to tarp our roof and additionally sending technicians the next day to work on the dry out and removal of damaged sheetrock and plaster. Sean was assigned my project after about 70% of the work was done because the original PM left for another opportunity. However, Sean did not miss a beat and made the final leg of the project go very well. In addition, at project close he also took the time to physically connect a sectional sofa that was taken apart at start of the project. Took him 20 minutes of using a Phillips screwdriver to connect all connector plates which wasn't the easiest thing to do. Regrettably, my experience with 24 Restore has been disappointing. The unprofessional behavior, questionable ethics, and subpar workmanship exhibited during the remodeling of my mother-in-law's bathroom were disheartening. The team not only broke essential fixtures like the toilet and vanity but also failed to complete the job, attempting to conceal the damage. We called Rick D. at 24 Restore to do a mold assessment at two different houses we were trying to purchase. He arrived on time, he was professional and extremely courteous. Though the assessments were free Rick still took his time to do a thorough inspection and quality work. If the mold assessments had found actual mold and we were on the hook to fix it, we would have been more than happy to have Rick and his team at 24 Restore do the work. They are a top-notch crew! My cellar below my shop was suddenly flooded with 3 to 4 feet of raw sewage ! I was horrified! I found 24 restore on Google and called them right away. They drained all the moisture out from the cellar and did a great clean up! Freddie and crew did a swift and thorough job!
