If you need your car repaired, and you don't mind waiting weeks and not getting your calls returned, and not having any idea what's going on with your car repair, and being treated rudely, then this is the place for you. On a friend's recommendation, I took my car here, thinking I would get quality service for less than what the dealer would charge. I was wrong--I got no service at all and a rude attitude from the owner, Josh. He said the car needed a very common repair and that he was ordering the part. For weeks, he never called and never returned my calls. When I finally reached him, he sounded annoyed, and said he didn't have time to call a supplier for the part. This was after he had kept the car for weeks. I ended up picking up the car, bringing it to the dealer and the dealer repaired it in 1 day. I should have believed the negative reviews. read more

First of all I have traveled all over the United States and a few countries overseas. I have been up in NY since April 2020 on a contract at a local hospital working with Covid-19 and general acute care patients. My very reliable Toyota would not crank up one day. I was 10 hours away from home and quite worried. Josh took several hours of his own time to evaluate each system in my car. He drove it up and down the Palisades Parkway and could find nothing wrong with the car. I fully expected to pay him for several hours of work. He refused to accept payment and I really was pretty overwhelmed at his kindness. He could have charged me a lot of money because first of all I am not local, second of all it took several hours of his time, and third of all I may never see him again. But I will NEVER forget him and the kindness that he and so many other New Yorkers displayed toward me and the other contract medical people that came up here to work. Thank you Josh!! I hope I deliver healthcare half as good as you take care of your customers! You are AMAZING and I thank you so much! Waiting 1-2 months to even start on a simple repair? Aggressive response when given honest and harmless customer criticism? I believe in working on my own cars, but sometimes when time is tight it's nice to pay a professional to do the work. Professional? Not sure if that's the right word to use here. Waiting months for them to even touch the car is preposterous. The way deal with upset customer feedback? "Masturbation hand motion." Really didn't expect such an immature response from a group of "professionals." Sure, you can have a reputation as a good fabricator, but disrespecting customers and others because you can't figure out how to schedule your own work is sad. Whoever drives a large black diesel truck with ricer-inspired decals on the side - and a rather horrible taste in wheel choice was just being a complete nuisance. Went to help my friend tow his car because they wanted it out so bad, again after not touching it, but bragged about charging him however much to keep it there and wouldn't let us tow it with our own car. Claimed we needed a tow truck. Okay, fair. The simpleton driving the black truck had to scream and yell, ( maybe in frustration to his obnoxious and atrocious taste in cars ) while we were trying to maturely discuss the situation on how we can get the car out, without having to cause any problems. So I would like to say a thank you to "260 auto repair" for being so "professional." You guys are a bunch of entitled and lousy bullies, that should learn how to handle some work when it comes your way. Oh, and pretending to "masturbate" to your customers is a start on working on your lack of empathetic skills. - Plenty of other shops around that can do twice the quality of your fabrication, and be humble about it too. Do not go here unless you want to lose your hard earned money, and watch a bunch of immature guys be incompetent in doing their job. read more

most terrible shop i've ever been to by a landslide, trusted them with a turbo'd engine, and they kept the car for two months. TWO MONTHS, claiming they'll,"overnight" simple things like a gasket, and start first thing in the morning. However, only after they try and tell you they ordered the wrong one. They play games. When given a little direct voicing, they act as if they're entitled to your property. Let alone the,"jerking off/masturbating" hand motions they gave us before leaving. In addition to taking photos of our license plates. I don't think any car that needed a simple turbo rebuild, stays ANYWHERE for OVER two months. Knowing the people around us, it is seemingly as if they set out to have a good build in the county, put down. Especially after they flat out refused to replace the pieces they took out. You have many options here in Haverstraw, and even Rockland County. Don't cheap out and go to these lazy ass laborer. Couldn't even order a gasket right the first time.. how am I going to trust that they could reliably switch an integral piece in the engine bay. (Haverstraw Shops.. next to mcdonald's...‍) Played their stupid game, didn't get a prize but a torn apart car. Gonna be a ball towing it tomorrow! Nobody writes this intense of a review over nothing. Adult cars being worked on by mentally middle school aged, bums. Not the best way to end the Fall season into the colder winter... read more
